NIce environment but let down by average food and indifferent service. Disappointing- better choices out there.

Authentic Italian atmosphere, very kind staff! The food is fantastic, lots of in-house made specialties! I was lucky enough to meet the chef at the open kitchen! Greatest ever experience! Highly recommended!

Had the pleasure of going to Centini this past Saturday (May 20th) for my cousin’s wedding rehearsal dinner. We were in the private dining room, and our server was Geoff (he was excellent and very attentive). The food was amazing (had a salad, steak, and chocolate cake), Moscow mule cocktail, and rosé. Most of our family was visiting from Ontario, and we had never been to Calgary before, but visiting Centini was definitely a fantastic experience. Would recommend to anyone in the Calgary area.

The food and service exceeded my expectations! Well-made old fashions, delicious sushi, and authentic pasta. I'll be back!

Our waiter was fantastic, but I got extremely sick for hours after ordering/eating the Salmon. Be careful!

Yesterday was our first time at Centini, and it will be our last. I understand that Valentine's Day is a REALLY hectic time for restaurant staff, and I always try to be extremely patient during busy times. However, the service we had last night was atrocious. When we walked in, one of the gentlemen at the door greeted us rudely; he looked annoyed at our presence. Our waiter only acknowledged us if he dropped something off at our table. All other tables received bread, while we had to ask if we could have bread while we waited for our food. My food came out cold, but I didn't have the chance to send it back because our waiter never came by to check on us. We had to waive him down to get any service. The food portions were inconsistent (we ordered a creme brulee to share after someone at another table ordered one, and our creme brulee was TINY while theirs was in a larger dish). The food was fine, nothing to write home about. This place has the potential to be a really nice restaurant, but it could be better managed.

The food is delicious, the service is excellent and as an extra bonus they have Peroni on tap!

My experience here was total satisfaction. The service was perfect, with timing, politeness, execution of professionalism. The food was outstanding. For appetizers, we had the scallops and the escargot, both were melt in your mouth delicious. For the main course we had to seafood linguine, and my friend had the gnocchi. Both dishes were 100% perfect no complaints whatsoever.

Valentine's Day was an absolute disaster. Terrible service and the food was also not up to pair with the pricing. The waiter and manager were both rude and unfazed with our dissatisfaction with our night.

At least a couple workers here are prejudice.definitely not everyone. Especially the lady that owns the the place.she is a beautiful person and actually cares about customer service. This restaurant has amazing food and service if you look like you deserve it.

The place looks very beautiful, they are local, you can ask using skip the dishes, the menu have very interesting pasta options and good prices. Great location in the heart of downtown.

Passed by this restaurant many times and finally got a chance to try it. I don't get why there're reviews saying about the service, but I was extremely satisfied with the whole dining experience from the atmosphere, service, and to the food.

The pasta and the main we had were both cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious!
Our server (I think his name is Lucas?) was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive (just right but not overly). He (and the kitchen) was also very accomodating with some dietary restrictions and ensure everything was right.

I'm glad I picked this restaurant over others as everything we had was just top notch.

I say it's the BEST Italian restaurant I've ever been to in the city. Would definitely be back!

What a great dinner we had! Our group of 30+ people enjoyed a fantastic experience to say the least. From the tasty selection of their menu choices with the service they delivered, it was a wonderful evening of dining. The staff were prompt, courteous and very accommodating! I would recommend Centini to friends and family for intimate dining or private functions for larger groups. Well done Centini!

What a gorgeous space. The staff were spectacular from start to finish, and the food was top notch! I was amazed by their wine list. I would choose this place again if I really wanted to impress my guests with a five star experience. I had a half order of spaghetti bolognaise gluten free and a ceaser salad. Everything was super fresh, super crisp and extremely pleasant to eat.

Overall I would say it was good. I enjoyed the gluten free pasta. The salad and wines were great. Lots of choices for gluten-free desserts as well.

Great selection of wines and the charcuterie board was a great mix of items I have never tasted before. Delicious! Also they have gluten free bread to dip in the balsamic & olive oil! It’s not on their menu so just ask the waiter/waitress

Centini hosted a very special anniversary party for my family this past weekend and it was 5 stars in every way! The events team was brilliant and accommodating. The food and service was impeccable. They exceeded our expectations and truly delivered a quintessential Italian family feast that we will always remember! All our dietary restrictions were handled with the upmost care and consideration. They never missed a beat! High class in every way! Complimenti allo cuocco!

Went here for date night and it did not disappoint. The food was incredible. I would highly reccomend the Lobster Sushi, and the Wild Boar Pappardelle. The pappardelle is cooked perfectly, and the wild boar ragu is incredibly flavorful.
The service was wonderful. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Definitely will be back.

I love Italian food and the usual atmosphere of being in a place that serves Italian.

I would NOT recommend this place to anyone unfortunately.

The service was awful on a Monday (was extremely packed), our server was not attentive at all, was very loud, no music, food was 3/5 nothing spectacular, no bread prior to meal, the sushi thing was very dry and not tasty, the Gluten Free pasta was not made in house either (making it not very special at all).

The bathroom did have female products if needed and I found that to be a nice touch.

I will not be returning after my 1st visit.

I think there is way better places for a nice dinner & Italian.

Upscale vibe, table bread was nice, spring salad was fresh, all pastas were a bit underdone.just 2-3 minutes more would be better. Marinara sauce delicious. Service started strong then our server disappeared and our service was eventually completed by someone else.

Service was very good, as was the wine and the appy. Otherwise the sole was over cooked and rubbery, the pasta was dry and flavour lacking and the carrot cake was very dry and crumbly. Overall not a great experience but we didn’t go hungry….

Food is excellent! - It used to be one of my favourite places in Calgary to eat.
The waiters were so unprofessional. I didn’t feel welcomed at all with the way they treated us. It’s too bad such a great restaurant with that kind of service.

I love the seafood dishes in this place. I've dine here a couple of times with my friends and those were always satisfying. The flavor never changes. It's still serving the best they have to every customer. I like their consistency. Every dish was cooked to perfection and presented nicely without sacrificing the taste. They are just very amazing. Good job.

Loving their seafood linguine, risotto, and tortellini. My siblings and I enjoyed each of our orders. They tasted so good and fresh. They are so satisfying with generous portions. Would love to try some other dishes too sometime because their menu have so many mouth-watering dishes. Can't wait to be back again soon!

How this restaurant isn’t higher than a 4.2 is crazy. By far the best pasta in all of Calgary. Believe it or not, they also have incredible sushi.

Hi: We found this restaurant after landing in Calgary and we were walking around to find a great meal and we found it! What was even better was the attentive service from Lola and others. I had the Prosciutto wrapped sushi roll with crab in the center and the special, Bouillabaisse. They said it had halibut and I expected “flakes” - it was a huge piece with all the other goodies in that soup! The bread was amazing as I sopped up all the nice! Lola and her co-worker took a genuine interest in us and encouraged us to rent a car and advised us where to go on our work day off! Which, we did plus some, so Lola, if you see this, we went to Canmore, Lake Louise and Banff! All at your prompting. We didn’t have dessert at the restaurant but their desserts looked great (as did every pasta that passed my way).

Came here and the ambiance was amazing.u gotta know the menu before coming here tho haha.overall had a good experience with this place, when i save more money i’ll definitely reserve a table soon

Food was delicious, service left a lot to be desired. First off they sat me and my wife between 2 6-tops, very hard to have any conversation when 2 large groups of people are yelling across their tables. The wait time to receive our order was absolutely ridiculous, over an hour and a half with no updates and a waitress who disappeared for almost the entire time. We had to ask a different waitress for an update, that waitress ended up bringing us our food and apologized to us. We watched table after table be seated and receive their food before us. After receiving our food our waitress apologized with no explanation and once again disappeared, no refill on drinks and no regard for us as guests. Terrible experience would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, ever.

Went there to celebrate a friend's birthday on Saturday. 6 of us in total. Everyone was ready to order and we were told couldn't order some of the dishes.everyone had to look for new meal to be told they didn't have that either. Had to finally ask the server what they DID have, and he rattled off a whole list of what we could jot order. Finally everyone orders.food was sub par. Then dessert. I come back to the table after ordering dessert to find a menu in my setting.didn't even have dessert and had to settle for something didn't even want. Price was definitly not reflective on the quality of the meal. First and last time we have been there.

Pretty good lunch. Bread was yummy, caprese salad was really great. Parpadele with wild boar ragu was also yummy. Olives were like from a jar and tiramisu was coated in cocoa powder, nearly choked on the first bite.

We had a fantastic anniversary date night at Centini’s. Alfonso made some fantastic recommendations and was so friendly and kind. We loved our veal scallopini and the full rack of lamb. Had a great experience and can’t wait to return again.:)

Attentive and genuinely friendly service plus a widely varied menu make this a fantastic place. Great food made for an excellent evening out. What a great restaurant for special occasions with a special person.

The reservation staff was rude and liar. House soup were served cold and taste like salted water. Our first and last visit. Please call the attention of the reservation guy if you want to attract more customers.

First time at Centini, food was flavorful, and service was great, specially Geoffrey, he was amazing.

4th time back, but first time on valentines day tbh.food was awesome as usual! The only thing I would say is that it took a long time, 2 hours in fact. But I'm chalking this up to 1. V day 2. First week back at work with a busy restaurant from covid restrictions. Would still highly recommend this place to everyone!

Good, interesting, nice and welcome stuff, good food (nothing especial, but good), excellent deserts.

Tried this restaurant for the first time and was impressed. Even though our server was on day three of his new job, he made a superb Manhattan and his service was great. Attentive but not intrusive. Our party dined on the King crab Sushi and Prosciutto roll, Caprese salad, hand made Veal Tortellini, Lamb Cotellete and finished with gelato, profiteroles and coffee. Food was all prepared perfectly. Definitely going back soon.

This restaurant has the most rude, unprofessional, impolite owner I have ever seen in my life. You have to learn how to speak with people employees or customers. I will pass this comment to whoever I meet, until you have no customers and you close your place.

Amazing food. And very friendly staff. Private parties are where this place really shines. Next company Christmas definitely think of this place.

I attended a Christmas party there last week and enjoyed the food tremendously, Charlie the waiter was pleasant and very good, however others in the group felt he was condescending a bit. The room we had was a bit cramped but was quiet and secluded! Thanks for a lovely night!
