Painfully SLOW cashiers, the slowest check outs in any grocery store I go into. They need to put in self check outs.

It’s a bit on the pricey side but you can find some really great deals once in a while. It’s the grocery store closest to my home so I stop there maybe two, three times a week. Super friendly staff! I was there tonight and the cashier was a young, blonde girl who was very friendly and just pleasant all around. I hope co-op is good to their employees so they can keep staff like her around because it does make a big difference

Nice organized shop. Shop is small but still have a lot of options for groceries and post office as well! Nice kind staff but young ones seems need to be more trained.

Selection and prices! Wonderful staff! Neat, clean and dependable. Watch the sales! And the meat is wonderful!

Went into the store to find hot pickles, saw they had none so we used the bathroom and left and apparently it was so “suspicious” they couldn’t keep it to themselves

Sandi the cashier was VERY disrespectful and had a very bad attitude. Please don’t work in customer service unless you’re properly trained to do so. It doesn’t take extra effort to be nice

Every time I come to this grocery store I am always dismissed by cashiers. There’s no sense of customer service in this place and they are always talking amongst themselves without paying attention to the customers.

The only reason I still come here is for the convenience of the location. Otherwise I wouldn’t even bother.

For the staff and store and the Co-op movement in general. Been a 40 year customer of Central Alberta Co-op and love it.

My two star rating is for the rude, impatient and demanding customers. I have more then one examples for each of the the criticisms Iabove. And if you read the low star reviews in this compilation you will see my point.

I thank the staff of putting up with this work environment and too Central Alberta Co-op for building Timberlands. The sign on the on the way in says in part, "no one shall verbally or physically abuse any of our staff members. " This is a grocery store for crying out loud why would you ever need a sign like that.

Looked at the pump price for regular fuel today at the Deer Park Co-op gas station and noticed the price dropped the full. 13 cents from Premier Kenny removing the Alberta fuel tax. Also noticed on the Gas Buddy App many retailers in Red Deer are continuing to gouge consumers with the old price of. 13 cents per litre, or even higher! Kudos to Red Deer Co-op of whom I have been a member for many, many years, I’m proud to be a member! Now, on my way to fuel up.

The food is great, the price is not. Everything in there is hugely over priced, and the parking lot is a disaster.this is still the same 5 years later.lol

I love this bakery (best donuts ever) and fried chicken. Groceries are on the more expensive side but the bakery makes up for it

I purchased a propane tank and a fill here which I used 3 times for about 2 hrs per time when suddenly the tank is empty, when I called the management to inform them what happened she said she would look for my info as I didn't keep my receipts (who keeps a receipt for propane) 4 days later I call back as I have heard nothing only to be told by management " I'm busy maybe you can come in and purchase more propane, I was appaled at $70 a pop for new tank and propane, I will never shop there again and neither will any of my family that use to shop there. Very bad practice coming from management!

I was just told by a cashier with kool aid coloured hair to ‘go to another till’ because she was apparently too busy wiping down her work station to ring me through. No where did I see a ‘till is closed’ sign. Found it a tad rude.

Quick good service that delivered excellent food. The ginger chicken was different but very good. Curried chicken medium spice was what I expected. Both dishes were large portions. Rice was ordered separately. Two dishes and small rice was $34 and change so no inexpensive.

Co-op in Deer Park is a really nice grocery store! Very clean & well maintained. Fresh fruit, veggies & baked goods, as well as an excellent selection of pre-made lunch & dinner options. So many fresh baked goody options as well! Thanks to the friendly staff for a great shopping experience:)

The young lady in the store wasn't able to input my Co-op number but it went through fairly well at the gas pump.

I love co-op stores and the thing I love about moving to the Red Deer area from Calgary is that I got them back! This store is amazing. There are some gems here for sure, found me some Faygo Root Beer on my first visit!

I live close and constantly walk here to get groceries. Big isles, packed full (most of the time). Lots of brands and choices. Most of the employees are quite nice. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is one older lady who works on the tills is very unpleasant. I won't mention any names of course but she scowls at customers and can be quite rude.

If you care about your safety I would highly advise against shopping here. Just got back from a quick shopping trip and spotted multiple people not wearing any mask. Take your business somewhere that cares about your safety and properly complies with the mask mandate. It's unacceptable that 12 months into the pandemic they have not figured out masking. I will not be shopping here in the future.

The cashier I dealt with was wonderful however the 2 star rating is a reflection of a staff not wearing a mask in the midst of still massive restrictions. If you cannot wear a mask, stay home. I will not be shopping here again

My advice to everyone who needs to mail packages is to avoid the Post Office at the Deer Park Co-op. If you've already used this outlet, there's a good change that you've probably been overcharged

Tonight I sent my granddaughter in to mail a package and buy some prepaid postage stickers. Before she went in, I advised her that the package should not be more than $3.35 ($3.19 +. 16 cents GST). I know this because I've mailed over 50 of these packages. I've gone to 2 different postal outlets and I have never had any package returned due to insufficient postage.

Well, we don't know if the woman at the counter was inexperienced or just cranky, but she insisted that the package would be more than $3.35 and that was the end of it.

I don't get it. 2 different postal outlets charge $3.35 and this one at the Deer Park Co-op says more for the exact same package. Interesting.

I always enjoy going to this coop location! Coop prices are not the lowest, so I only buy what is on sale, but the service I always great and dividends never hurt!

I expect better from management instead having an employee overcharge me on the bread were I bought one not two That’s the last time I’ll be shopping here for my groceries for now on until manager of this store deals with the issue of employees deciding to overcharge customers better watch them people.

Pricey but good. It was funny how the woman at the Express checkout made comments to the other customers how I was over the allowed items. Just tell me. I honestly couldn't see the express checkout sign. Make it a little more obvious. That's all.

They have a great staff, all friendly and helpful. Their meat staff are very good at what they do and help me with the biggest expense in my grocery cart.

The only drawback is the store is older in it's layout. I prefer a more modern layout like Sinnott's Independent or COOP in Timberlands.

Very disappointed to day. Shopped for groceries and then tried to use the Co-op annual rebate check that was sent to us and cashier told us that Co-op would not accept it because of cobid 19. No one else had touched the check since it came out of the mail envelope. I asked if they would take cash that has been handled by who knows how many people. No problem taking that regardless ob cobid-19. Go figure. Who makes these ridiculous decisions. Had to go to the credit union. The teller said there were a lot of unhappy co-op members coming in with the same frustration. Does not look good for Co-op when bad decisions like this our made.

Laura at customer service is rude and clearly shouldn't be working with the public, I shop here all the time, but I think now I will be shopping at the other co op, I don't usually complain about someone, but she honestly should be taught better

I was surprised that co-op let a customer buy 30 bags worth $500 on masks when everybody is short and not limiting it to one or two per customer.
I won't be going back to this store.

Pretty standard grocery store. Gets quite busy at times but there are usually lots of people working the tills.
Doesn't get 5 stars due to the parking lot. It is a nightmare! Crazy busy and too small for all the businesses in the Co- op plaza.

Nice store. Hadn't been there in months. Picked up spicy ribs, bag of fried chicken and a BBQ chicken.

I'm not sure why the staff at this location are so unfriendly? The one lady (starting with the letter S and ends with y. I don't want to say her name on the review which is public) was extremely unfriendly. Absolutely terrible service. Other grocery stores I attend have way better service. I will not be making an effort to shop here.

I love coop. I mean there priced are a little high, but I love that it's a community thing. But the cashier's here are all so very cranky.

Friendly staff, convenient location and hours, has a gas bar, liquor store and a pharmacy! I'm a member so I get a rebate / dividends cheque every year. Decent selection. Store has a deli and bakery with fresh products daily.
