Customer service that Lee and her Team, at all locations, provides is absolutely incredible. They continually go above and beyond for their customers and always provide a positive, welcoming environment for shopping. I love these stores, plus the selection is fantastic!

Warning! Red Deer Location will harass you! Clearly from looking at the reviews the owner has either had a terrible change in attitude or it’s a new owner since last year because the so called “owner” is incredibly unprofessional and astoundingly rude. This is definitely the place where you go to get ripped off. If you choose to shop at CDH your experience will basically be: walk in the store and get belittled the whole time, go to pay & get scammed, then once you are home with your purchases or maybe even halfway home everything you bought will begin to rip, tear, and fall apart. It is absolute garbage what they sell here. Which would be fine if the prices reflected that however the prices are outrageous. I highly recommend trying out a thrift store before entering into a scam at CDH. Obviously this is the Red Deer location, and I have messages with the “owner” showing how rude and inappropriate they can be.

This is such a cool store. They always have unique finds. The owner is a doll. The staff are always so nice and helpful.

This place is awesome! They bring in cool things you didn't even know existed, their prices are definitely fair, and the staff are always so nice and helpful!:) last time I went I took two toddlers and one of the staff kept them entertained while I got to peek around <3

I have made quite a number of purchases. Recently I purchased an item that wasn't the quality of the ad posted. The policy is no refunds but according to the Competition Act this is misrepresentation. The product sold wasn't the same as in the ad. The owner said they don't refund and suggested I sell on their buy and sell page. I refuse to sell a product and misrepresent the product. I even requested store credit. It wasn't until I quoted the Act and sent a link to the Competition Act website that I was told to come in for a refund. I will not be leaving the store ever again without inspecting my purchases. If assembly is required, assembly will occur in store. This process was unpleasant and the owner was extremely rude. I am hesitant to make any more orders.

Since making this review I have been removed from the Central Discount House Facebook group. When I questioned why in an email it was because I said the owners was rude

Central discount house is an incredible online and in-store shopping experience. They have such unique buys and great prices. Quality is generally above average so worth the visit and getting different goodies

The staff in Red Deer are absolutely amazing. I'd give them 5 stars. But the owner is rude and doesn't care about customer service or backing any products. I purchased an item via pre sale that was VERY different than advertised. When I emailed, the owner was very rude and refused to give a refund. She stated she used a picture from last years order and it was cheap so she wouldn't refund (I found out after that you can a much nicer one from Amazon for less money anyways). After I quoted the relevant laws regarding misleading advertising she rudely told me to bring it back for a refund. No acknowledgement that the item was not the same even though it's clear to see in pictures (she even lied and stated it was exactly the same even though the pictures show significant differences). I would 100% recommend shopping at the Red Deer store because the staff is absolutely amazing. By far the best staff I've come across shopping anywhere. But don't pre pay for items and don't leave the store without opening packaging and inspecting items because they don't refund even when the item isn't as advertised. Also, do a quick search to see if better options are available for less. I always assumed and trusted that their pre order bulk buy system saved everyone money. But after looking up this item and finding it for cheaper I've realized other buys weren't a good deal at all (although some buys were really good deals).

Update: I did get an email apology from the owner saying it "wasn't the best weekend" for her. I do appreciate the apology, but this also should have never been an issue and customers shouldn't need to post a review to be treated with respect. I also see there are quite a few other reviews stating disappointment with how customers are being treated by the owner. Hopefully the email apology actually means changes to how customers with valid concerns are treated because the staff at the store level are absolutely amazing and it's so unfortunate that the owner is negatively affecting an otherwise enjoyable shopping experience.

I usually use the airdrie location but most recently have ordered from the Calgary S. E location. Ordering was quick and easy and I was notified as soon as my items were ready for pick-up. The process is incredibly easy and the products are amazing. I live CDH and plan to keep on shopping here. I have recently purchased wedding decorations and am very happy with everything.

The ladies who work at the Red Deer Store are absolutely amazing and so helpful. I love how the owners give back to the community. Thank you, Keep up the awesome work

I bought a galaxy protector that has a blue tooth connection from here today for $32. Best purchase I've made this year. I originally went to pick up an order of flannel shirts, but the young lady working (I wish I knew your name) asked me to try them on to make sure they fit, and they didn't so she said I was not obligated to take them but if I did I would not be able to make a return. Long story short, I bought the projector instead and it does even more than what that lady was telling me it does. She was excellent with customer service! This store is amazing! So many cool things for amazing prices, very clean and great service!

I shop at the Red Deer store and I have been so impressed with the products. I did most of my Christmas shopping there. My gifts were so appreciated. Service is top notch and Lee and staff bend over backwards with customer service. Prices are great too.

The girls who run both the red deer and the Airdrie store are amazing! They always know what is in stock and when it will most likely be re stocked and are always bringing in new and exciting products! So many things you see on online advertising they have at this store! Ordering through Facebook is SUPER easy and they now email you when products are ready for pick up!

I appreciate the buying opportunities this business provides. The staff are always helpful and kind. We were able to purchase several items for gifts and the recipients loved them!

Has some good deals but poorly run and very disorganized. I ordered things several times and didn’t ever receive them. If you’re buying in store it’s probably worth it but I wouldn’t order off their Facebook page.

Staff is always friendly and helpful! The owners have always been accommodating if a product was not what was expected. This is not your typical store where everything is on hand so you must be patient! Will keep ordering from their Facebook page and purchasing from their store! We stopped in last Saturday. The service was excellent, the store was clean and well layed out. It was easy to find items to purchase. We will be returning.

I recommend cdh to anyone I know. These ladies have started from the ground up. They are pretty helpful and even look to their clients for ideas.im super glad they have a store in red deer now as airdire was a bit far to go shop so I never went. Congrats on the 2nd store guys. Job well done

I just found this wonderful business about a month ago, but I’m already a repeat customer! There are so many wonderful products in stock and great pre-orders on Facebook. I stop in any time I can and there’s always something new. I’m so happy they opened a store front in Red Deer last week! Can’t wait to see what they have for me on my next visit️
