Twice I have been to the west end location for my machine in the past month. Not only were the staff rude but the price for a general maintenance was 3 times the amount of their competitors. And on the second visit to address a repair that I believe to be the fault of the repair technician they blamed me.

There is a reason why small businesses are going out of business and this is why. I visited Central Sewing last week to inquire about purchasing a new sewing machine. I was greeted by their employee Linda. I told her what my budget was so that she had an idea what to show me. She was very nice showed me about 5 machines and explained the pricing as they are celebrating their 60th year and that Brother also had a special on certain machines. She explained how their anniversary sale was only on the third Wednesday of each month. I was interested in one particular Brother machine, she said that currently the manufacturer is offering a $75 Mastercard when you purchase certain machines and that was one of them. I decided to come back the next week for their anniversary sale and see if I could get a better deal. When I arrived I asked if the machine I was interested in was on sale, they told me that it was but they only had the floor model left. Normally with the sale they would offer 7.5% off. But when I was there the week before Linda told me they offer 7.5% off on floor models. So today I asked if there was extra off because of it being a floor model and because of the sale. Right away another lady approached and cut off the other employee and said no that is all that is being offered. She wouldn’t even let the other employee finish what she was saying to me. Needless to say I wasn’t impressed with any of this. I drove all the way from Spruce Grove to see what they had on sale. I was planning on buying a machine but they were to cheap to offer an extra discount for a floor model with the sale. Very stupid on their part. They chased away a potential repeat customer. I would have returned for notions as well as other things. Small business is cutting their own throats and this is why!

Purchased a Baby Lock sewing machine. Maureen was so knowledgeable. Both ladies were very friendly. Highly recommend buying a sewing machine from them.
