Had our work christmas party here. Service was great and the food was amazinger. I may or may not have had four helpings.

I've visited several times for lunch and once for dinner, and it's about 50/50 as to whether you'll be served within an hour or not. The food is good and close to work, which is why I keep returning. After this latest visit though, it seems clear that the staff must have to deal with this issue enough that they've decided it's not worth apologizing or explaining the situation to the patron as they actively avoided eye contact while our food was delivered one plate at a time over an hour and a half for our table of 7 customers. Two people had even ordered the exact same meal, and one wasn't served until we were ready to leave. Half of the bill was removed as an apology, but only after pointing out how awful the service was at which time they also mentioned their kitchen staff was backed up. The restaurant wasn't even half full, but there also appeared to be only one bartender and a waitress who left halfway through our meal. We would have preferred to be warned that service would be slow before being seated so as to make a decision on whether to add to the stresses of the staff or not.

Always have a great time at central downtown or in st albert. Our server Madsy was so great!

When I was living downtown, my friend and I would go to Central to have a couple of drinks, and maybe a bite to eat while we catch up and we always had a great time. Ryan, who'd we see nearly every visit would serve us at the bar, always gave us the warmest welcome and he would stay to have conversation with us everytime. Nothing but good things to say about the food, drinks and staff

I live in this neighbourhood and have been here a few times, the food is not bad, but also not that good. Mostly come here for the vibe, its sort of a chill bar type of place. Ideal for getting a drink with some pals after work and having something to munch on. I didnt like the sandwiches or the cocktails, but the pale ale and wings were good, would definitely go back for some wings on wings Wednesday. But I’d just go for the convenience. (FYI, I havent tried brunch yet)

We went here for brunch and it was okay. One dish was ordered with easy poached eggs, but the whites weren't even white yet. Most of the whites were still clear, so they were returned. They didn't come out better the second time. They were still under easy. The staff was super nice and helpful, and I would try it again, but snotty eggs aren't my thing. We'll order medium next time. My over-easy eggs came out fine though.

Thought this was a great place to have lunch today… The restaurant is furnished real nice, upscale/trendy batmosphere. Ordered a pint but it tasted off… the waitress was real nice about bringing me a new one, different kind. My guest and I each ordered a salad. I had the Caesar salad and she had the Starlet Salad. Truthfully these salads were brutal. The lettuce in mine was brown and pink… no chef/cook should ever serve up a salad like that. My guests salad had summer mix in it that was slimy… by far the worst salad/meal Iv eaten out in a long time. Shameful to think that was worth serving to us. I did not complain because I felt bad about complaining about the beer. Serving old lettuce/summer mix should have been obvious so why bother complaining.

When it comes to quality, this is the place to set your eyes on. I’m a burger fan, I’ll always suggest Central’s best menu item (imo) The Ronald! Absolutely delicious, possibly the best burger in Edmonton! It comes with crispy well salted fries After a long receipt list on my skip the dishes app, mostly containing the Ronald, I made it official. It’s my fav! Now go get yourself one before your tastebuds divorce your mouth.

Hosted a work networking event here and the service was incredible. Vance went above and beyond to make sure we were well accomodated for. Guests loved the food/drinks too. Highly recommend!

Central Social Hall downtown Jasper Ave, has always been one of my fave go to places for a casual dinner during the week days or a fun night out on the weekends. The staff are always on top of making sure their guests are always satisfied to their fullest. Saturday’s are definitely my go to days for a girls night out & honestly The DJ’s for the weekends are always spinning some fire tracks. Always a great time at Central, you can definitely quote me on that:)

Expected class and was given trash. No seasoning or salt was used and the plating was horrible. Now I just feel like I am getting ripped off for.

Food was great.
At night, the place is gonna turn into like a night club so ready yourselves for loud party music.

Yesterday our vehicle was parked on jasper ave right near central social hall and unfortunately was struck in a bad car accident while we were eating brunch at district. We had our 6 week old baby with us and it was a huge mess and we needed somewhere warm to go to deal with insurance and such. The staff at central were so amazing and welcomed us in right away and gave us a space to start making phone calls. They even brought us water and a little snack as we were all shaken up. They offered me a private space to go feed my son as well. They were nothing but kind, accommodating and friendly during a stressful situation. They made a tough situation a lot better for us. We’ve eaten here lots before and nothing but good things to say but I really appreciate everything they did for us yesterday!

Worked with Vance and Jesse to manage a 28 person party and it went off with very few issues. Great service and going back for another 19 person event. Thank you!

Exceptional food & service! Vance was amazing in helping me plan a birthday dinner and even had custom menu's made based on my Instagram profile. He truly went above and beyond to make sure I had a pleasant night. The food was good and service was fast (even though there was 14 of us), bathrooms were clean & selfie worthy. Would reccomend!

Crispy Shrooms were amazing. I got 4 drinks and an appetizer for 25 bucks. No other bar this can happen in. Half off Sundays are awesome, it was even half off on Halloween!

Mediocre food, and overpriced for what it is. The calamari was lukewarm, and the beef sushi didn't taste remotely fresh. Drinks on the other hand, were delicious, and the staff were SUPER friendly!

Brunch was excellent. The selection of eggs Benny is pretty great. A little pricey but totally worth it.

I had a fun Friday night here but found the bartenders to be very rude. I also think they were overcharging for drinks as I got different prices for the same order a few times. I also did not like being charged for each Diet Coke as usually restaurants give refills for free. The bartender also assumed her tip and then tried to ignore me when I wanted my change back. I finally got her attention and asked for my change. She then have me the wrong change. I would recommend asking for receipts each time to prevent getting ripped off.
Music was good but there was lots of pushing and shoving on the dancefloor.

Really classy place. The manager at the door was very welcoming to me on my birthday. All the staff were friendly and quick with our orders. I highly recommend Central Social Hall for any type of gatherings

Great service, enjoyed my time there, I would return for the food and drinks whenever I have time.

Lame top 40 music, the bartender took 15 mins to serve us, then we got sprayed in the face when he splashed everyone with the gun. Honestly ruined my night.

Waitress never came back to check if i had received my food and we were a party of 7.wife didnt get her drink until I called her over about my food. Told the manager separately he offered to make it on the house. Waitress when told didnt offer nothing just apologized.wouldn't recommend it.

Awful service at this restaurant. We waited 25 mins to be seated at the door while one of the staff members stood in front of us talking on the phone. Then when seated the server made us change tables last min which wasn’t too much of a hassle as we complied. My friend and I were waiting at our table for about another 20 mins while multiple servers/waitresses walked by barely acknowledging our presence. I finally called out to a waiter that walked by more than a handful of times and kindly asked if we could place an order. She looked us up and down like we were beneath her and said “Fine, I’ll get someone here. ” and rolled her eyes as she walked off. When we finally got our order taken, the food arrived after quite a bit of time, which I understand because restaurants tend to be busy in the evenings, not a problem. The food though. 3/10. We ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich and Loco talle tacos, which was by far the most bland and dry food i’ve ever ate at an establishment! The Loco calle tacos tasted like an off brand tuna when it was supposed to be “chicken”. The cajun chicken sandwich wasn’t awful but the popeyes across the street would’ve made something better.only thing actually decent was the fries. We also got water on the side and only got one refill which took almost 30 mins to even get. The waiter was too busy gossiping and laughing with the other tables full of white people that she barely came to ours, i’ve definitely received better service from a 7/11 like come on.

Friday night after along year if not seeing friends we decided to venture out downtown and found central at a about 11 and we decided on drinks obviously went to the front bar and was greeted by Shelly? Maybe it was Shelby super fast service as the bar was busy! It was nice to get out and after drinks in our hands we were bombing our heads to the music and saw the dance floor.we all looked at each other and giggled and said we have to dance we hit the dance floor and the DJ was amazing I don’t think we sang and danced that much in a long time. This is our go to place from now on and will recommend it to everyone!

2nd time ordering thru skip. This time the experience was very unpleasant. Although you did add a small complimentary dessert I DID NOT recieve the $9 + tax mason jar dessert I had ordered which was VERY dissipointing. I cannot contact support on skip for w.e reason so.here I am, sad I do not have my $9 dollar dessert and can't get a refund.

Omg, it’s been a long time since we have gone out, Me and my girlfriends went there last night and the atmosphere was awesome, the food was sooo good and the music seemed like a non stop party! We will definitely be back!

A nice and beautiful building that is located at the remarkable intersection of 109 St. And Jasper Avenue. The corner attracts more people from different places of the city. Usually you see crowed of people during the weekend. Enjoy your night over there.

First time out in a long time and we really enjoyed our visit! Our server, Morgan, informed us that it was her first day but we never would've known otherwise because she was great! She knew the menu very well, was friendly, funny, and courteous. Our food was delicious and it was nice and cool indoors even on a 37 deg day outside!

One thing I hate more than stubbing my toe is when you're trying to reach a business or company and you cannot seem to get in touch with a real person like answer your phone o well I guess we'll go to the restaurant next door competition thanks anyway

I wish I had something good to say about the food, but I don't. Tasted like something a frat bro would cook up for his homeboys. The bacon onion spinach dip was gross and unappealing to look at. My backyard burger was exactly that - something I shouldn't be eating at such a central spot in the core of the city, with much better competition in the area. I guess I'm supposed to get my drink on, to disguise the fact that the food is trash and overpriced if I weren't sober. The mediocrity persists here in Edmonton.

A huge thank you to Josh, Zach, Alex, Robbie, and Vance! I had a budget for my mothers day meal to myself lol and you made it so amazing! I can't wait until I can come sit and drop a fat tip on pay days!

Great attention to detail. Back again! March 2021 and the best part was how they made me feel safe. We ordered all the most Instagramable dishes. The bathrooms are a must visit, seriously, your welcome. Wing Wednesday were very generous portions. Save room for the hot donuts! Great place for game night, I appreciated the sound on! Fast, friendly staff. Bonus, my coat was on a warmer the whole time and stayed warm all the way to the car.

This place has awesome drinks, great food and the people who work there & people who go there are amazing too.

Phenomenal! I had the Honey-Fried Chicken Sandwich and it was amazing. Hard recommend the doughnuts as well. The rosemary anglaise dip was subtle and was a wonderful complement to the dessert. I ordered online and didn't get to interact directly with staff, but it was made quickly and a cute little note added to the bag.

Always dine at Social whenever we go out for dinner. We love the food and atmosphere of the restaurant. One of our favourite. But Today for valentines dinner we were expecting same delicious food and great service as usual. But we were upset with both today. As food was not tasting so good plus all the food we ordered came at once on table which should be out in little gap so we could eat hot. We were eating starters and right a way our main course cam which was cold in the mean time we were done with our starters. Not served properly and quality of food was lacking something. Really disappointed as it was our favourite spot to dine.

Order food online and the order was completed super fast and everything on the order was correct. The staff even left a very nice greeting card and a free desert. Awesome experience can’t wait to go in person.

Best Burger in downtown. Meat was super moist, no delivery was great and fries were not soggy. Donuts were a little undercooked but they gave me a great dessert as a gift. Ben was the one that prepared my food and it was great, thanks.

Went for valentines with my girl and it was such a nice time. The complimentary champagne and great valentines menu for a wonderful price.

Always my favorite place to go out! Fantastic selection for snacks and drinks! Went last night with some girlfriends and we had an awesome time! DJ was playing throwbacks so we were dancing in our seats the whole night! I don't remember our first server of the night but the second was Randi and she was great! Very quick to attending us and always had a smile on!
Can't wait to come back soon!

Talked to manager about the issue and didn’t resolve.
Talked to the “owner”, doubtful it was the owner.
Stood with the “owner and a
Manager” for another 5 minutes until they sent a sever over.

Another 10 minutes for drinks after orders.
Not thrilled overall with the experience and neither are my pals. Will not be returning.

Had the Honey Chicken Sandwich with Kettle fries and the food was amazing. The decor is bright and spacious and make the perfect lunch location.

I ordered from skip the dishes and my food had mold on it. Actual mold. Never hear such a thing happening. Maybe refrain from ordering from here.

Food was good, but service was questionable. This is second time we had a new server on a busy Saturday.

Food was good. Considering we were the first group there for brunch, service was unbelievably slow. Other groups were served their food and left before we received our food and we were only a group of five. Food orders for two, three or four people should NOT take precedence in the kitchen just because they're smaller!

It is not often that brunch and nightlife have blended so well! Any time of day this place is a nice place to settle in and have an ice cold crispy or a nice meal. When those bar lights dim and that music starts bumpin', you are in for a treat as well. Stay a while because this place will have you grinning from ear to ear anytime of day.

Very cozy and beautiful! Great atmosphere to have a great time with family and /or friends! Good Happy hour! The food is pretty delicious! Great service as well. The waitress took good care of us. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family!

Pretty nice and relaxed atmosphere. I had hot wings. They were quite delicious, not just Frank's hot sauce drizzled on chicken but quite a yummy flavour. I was out to have a party kind of night.so I may have went to early to extract that atmosphere from it.but all in all.really nice place.:)

The waitress somehow thought I wanted another of my first drink when I asked for a water. Then she tried to basically force me to take the drink anyway and pay for it even though I told her I was leaving soon and needed to drive.

Ordered the steak sandwich for a work function lunch and asked for it to be rare. It was very well done but I didn't want to cause a fuss. Won't be back.

Went to the chef's table and it was an amazing experience! Jesse was very accommodating to my vegan diet and everything was delicious. They also have the best avocado toast I've ever tasted:)

WORST experience ever. I would give 0 stars if I could. The blonde girl, I believe her name was Maddy/Madeline was horrific and has no manners. Rude, stuck-up, and a bad attitude. Beyond disgusted at the way staff treat people here. Btw, she also reeked of marijuana which was not pleasant at all. She did not even bother to cover up the smell and you could literally smell her from at least 9 feet away. It is clearly evident that there is no screening or proper training for the staff here. Please DO NOT go here.

Central is one of my favourite restaurants. The quality of the food and the service are both incredible. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a local to Edmonton restaurant that offers a great dining and night life experience.

Love this place. I have been dining here for years. You can’t go wrong with " the Ronald" its the best. Most recently we came for a really cool event, a "Chefs Table" where the owner Jesse actually served us an amazing keto brunch. 5 courses, all of which were delicious. If you have never been, definitely check this place out. Do not let some of the negative reviews scare you off, this place has revamped their menu and brought on an awesome chef. This is also a good place for events, fundraisers, large birthdays dinners etc. The staff is super friendly and accommodating.

I love going here for food or drinks. The service is always great and the Ronald burger is my absolute favourite. Their patio is also great in the summer!

I use to work at central social hall, this place had really exceptional food I was proud to eat and work at central. It was really good then. The plating and quality of food was high.
Now the food is horrible, they skimp on ingredients and the display of the dish is sloppy as well as some of the food was burnt. Its I e thing to have that happen with one person everyone one i came with had problems with the food they orderd
Basically the kitchen staff or managers have changed the focus from qaulity to indifference because thiers no focus on quality control at this place any more the drinks look bad foods burnt and under cooked I was very displeased its a shame do not eat brunch on Sundays because it's low really bad

First time here and it was great. Food and service were excellent. The lunchtime specials were amazing! They offer a full size 3 course meal for $18, and it was way more than we expected, not to mention that it was also delicious! We had the Honey Breaded Chicken Sandwich and the Pulled Pork, both exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

I can’t say enough good things about Central Social Hall. The food, service, and atmosphere have me coming back every time! Jesse and his team have done an excellent job.

Enjoyed the atmosphere and the dance floor. The salt and pepper wings and tacos were quite enjoyable. It was a little crowded for my tastes, but it was enjoyable.

4 of my girlfriends and I had the chance to attend a Chef's Table with one of its two owners, Jesse, and we enjoyed the experience immensely. The service was efficient and the food were tasty and full of flavor. We were there early on in the evening on a weekday and the ambiance was just right for socializing. I would definitely recommended checking Central out if you get the chance - plus they have excellent happy hour deals!
