I thrived at this school. All of my teachers were amazing and helpful, and I ended up leaving the school with straight A's in all of my classes. I was originally embarrassed to come here, but I have to say it has been one of the best decisions I made in my life. I made lifelong friends here and learned so much. I was on the Mental Health Commitee and that helped me leave my shell and overall formed me into a better and more understanding person. Because of the wonderful teachers at this school, I will be going into post-secondary this January and being the first in my family to do so!
I just got to say thank you to the amazing staff and the Student Services for making my 3 semesters at Centre High the best semesters in my whole school years.
This school isn't very great for education purposes, the teachers slack off (or teacher in particular), the teacher I'm referring to puts questions on their tests that weren't studied or discussed at all, they're also oblivious of their students grades in the class.
Great for upgrading and/or getting your High School Diploma - it’s a nice school with a friendly environments and great teachers that have lots of helpful resources for students!
The school can be a hit or miss depending who you get as a teacher. However the school environment is very university like, and offers alot of help with tutors and guidance counselors.
Many teachers here treat you like children, although students here are adults. A few don't do a great job at incorporating learning styles that assist all students. That shouldn't go without saying, most of them have a great attitude and are enthusiatic about their jobs. Lastly, the administrative staff are very rude and unpleasantly moody at every encounter. It seems like a game of intimidation, even when it comes to the vice principals.
It's worth mentioning that the building is very small for the number of students that attend here. It can get hectic and violent in the hallways.
Some teachers were cool, helpful and informative when it came to needing some of my courses upgraded.but my worst experience was the blonde assistant principle, skinny build.sunken cheeks. (unfortunately i forgot her name but i had her as my AP) she was unhelpful, belittled you and made students cry.before seeing her, she was helping a student with an issue.i couldn’t make out what was being discussed.but all i heard was the girl crying and she left her office crying.like? Isn’t your job to help students? Not make them feel worse? How unprofessional, what a cow.this is quite a late review, i don’t go here anymore but the worst experience i had was this lady.i advice anyone that has her as your Assistant Principle, see if its possible to get help from another AP.
