Centre Street Veterinary Clinic

They diagnosed my pups Color Dilute Alopecia (CDA) when my regular vet said he just has dry skin. They booked us in the very next week for his unbilical hernia repair & neutering (quoted $250 - $270) where as my clinic said 7+ month waitlist and upwards of $800. Then after my boy was neutered I realized my girl was already pregnant so they took care of our puppies vetting. Small clinic of amazing staff, fair pricing and do not try to take advantage of people. I tried this clinic because I helped a friend bring over a litter of Foster Puppies she had and I really like how the staff handled them. I was using Bedding Trail Animal and was being let down continuously, even specifically asking the front staff to put a note on my file that the Dr that was unable to read an xray or diagnose the CDA never treat my animals again, my last two visits were with that particularly inept "Dr" and I left. Plus, Centre Street VC is next door to my family Dr, (Dr. Cho) so it's a convenient location.definitely having much better results here.

Booking in was easy peazy, and must note that their dental pre-exam rates plus starting rates for dental work are comparable. For someone with a very fussy cat, I'm eager to bring him in and make sure his dental health plan is taken care of in their good hands!

The team at Centre St Veterinary was so wonderful. From the moment we arrived we were given the very best care for our dog who had an unfortunate meeting with a porcupine. They made a very stressful experience for us & our dog calm & worry free. Highly recommend.

They care alot. Definitely worth taking you furry friend here. Great team and honest staff. I will go here for allmy future vet needs.

Friendly, caring, best vet we've had for a long time. Our previous vet of many years retired and we had heard that the staff and vets were excellent here, I fully agree.

All the personnel were kind and helpful. Our kitty Maya healed well after her spay surgery. They followed up on her after the surgery. This will be our main vet from now on.

Wonderful pet care at a reasonably cost that I would highly recommend. My dog is very comfortable with the vet and staff. I appreciated the time they took to explain and answer questions.

The staff at Centre Street Vet Clinic has always been great to my dogs. I have been a client of theirs for the past 10 years and never have we ever felt neglected. They take the time you need to discuss the needs of your pets and will refer it needed. We recently lost our 12-year-old dachshund unexpectedly and I called the clinic and asked them to review her file to see if we had missed diagnosing something. They called me back and we reviewed her file together to make sure her reports were fine. I recommend Dr. Gidda and his team if you are ever in the need of a vet. It does not hurt to go check them out. They have always been good to my pets.

Always feel like everyone is happy to be there and loves making sure our pets are well taken care of. Also never feel rushed, even in the quickest of appointments!

The best bet in Calgary come check them out very friendly staff been going there for years check them out for your self.

I’ve been taking my kitty to this clinic since she was 3 months old. She’s received vaccines, deworming meds and been spayed there, all going on smoothly. From the front desk girls to the doctors, everyone has always been pleasant, compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional. I absolutely recommend them to pet parents.

I have a Shiba and for people that know the breed, they can be hard to deal with for vets. Dr Gidda at centre st vet is the only person I trust to see my girl. He’s super honest and patient and genuinely cares for your dog!

I have been coming to this clinic for a few years now and I would have to say that this is by far the best clinic I have ever been to. Dr. Gidda is great and truly cares about your pets. They don't price gouge you either. From the front end staff to the doctors I have always had a great experience here. They truly care and you definitely feel it. Keep up the great work!

The only place I will take my 5 month old sweet girl. They really take care of her. She has been coming here since she was 8wks old.

I had to put my cat of 16 years down due to no eating and no teeth. The vet was very sympathetic to my needs.

This vet is truly AMAZING! Every single staff member there cares so much about the animals and it shows. I have had to take my dog in for multiple surgeries and they were very good to me on pricing and helped me out more than once with this whole situation. I can't say enough good things about the doctors and the entire staff at this clinic. I've just moved here from across the country with a dog who has a complex medical condition. He promptly had an acute episode that needed coordination between his longstanding vet in Ontario and the Centre Street Vet Clinic.

The level of care and service from every member of the clinic has been exceptional and the doctors' expertise has been outstanding.

This has been our go-to vet for almost a decade now. Very compassionate and also aware that pet owners are not made of money. Always willing to work with you for the best possible outcome.

I have been attending this office for 7 years and have had excellent care for my pet. They are very caring and considerate of their patients and their owners, keeping in mind the needs of both. Recently my little chihuahua became very ill with her bad heart (she was 14). Dr. Gidda had looked after her very well all along and helped us through everything. All the staff were very kind and considerate and helpful. My heartfelt thanks to all of them. I highly recommend them.

Your average vet clinic, decor and inside appears aged as it has been here awhile.

Doctors were OK, typical in and out type vet.

My best bud Chaos (male feline) was obviously lethargic and not doing well. Centre Street got him in right away, figured out he had an urinary tract blockage. They cared for him off and on over the course of a week giving him iv's and liquids. Cleared him up and he's been great since. Forever grateful and have been going there since for food and any check ups.

I brought my dog here, and he takes a medication to stop seizures. They refused to fill his prescription because I wouldn't book another appointment as I am a broke university student with no time, even though we went to one just last month. They wanted me to pay for another appointment to be told nothing, as they have Not helped him with his condition thus far. It is evident that the money is more important to the staff than the pets. I do Not recommend bringing your fur babies here.btw, he needs this medication to live.and we were still turned away.thanks.

I tried the clinic and my friend’s recommendation as she highly recommended them.
My cat was ill and they got me in quickly. The staff were kind and the veterinarian was clear and laid out all my options, also taking financial constraints into consideration. In the end I decided to take him to emergency services where a ultrasound could be accessed if necessary. When I went to settle my account they didn’t charge me for the exam- which they certainly they could have. Given the expensive emergency bill this was very much appreciated.

Brought my rescue cat, Hershey in for a checkup & blood work. Blood showed kidney issues & Dr. Gidda & his staff were right on the ball suggesting a meal plan & monitoring options. Decided a dental cleaning may be beneficial (he REALLY needed one.adopted him from Animal Services so he was a stray). Dr Gidda listened patiently to all of my concerns & we decided on a reasonably priced plan. The day after his cleaning Hershey is up & spry & eating! One of his assistants even called the next day to check in. Dr. Gidda & the ladies up front are TOP NOTCH! Everyone is so kind & caring & take the time to listen to your concerns. They never try to "upsell" and the prices are extremely reasonable. I would give a higher rating, if I could. Highly recommend & thank you everyone at Centre Street Vet!

After reading the good reviews that Dr. Gidda came highly recommended - I decided to take my 19 yo cat Obie in to see him due to weight loss, a general check-up and a lump on his leg. First impression is that it is a very small, well kept office and the front staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Didn't have to wait very long (about 20 mins) to see Dr. Gidda. Dr. Gidda did a general exam (eyes, ears, teeth) and listened closely to my concerns. He took his time and gave his honest opinions and treatment option - and most importantly didn't try to "upsell" me on unnecessary procedures. The overall cost was *very* reasonable (and, in fact, I got a discount as a first-time patient!). After being ripped off by vets in the past, it was very refreshing to encounter an honest, reasonable vet. I would highly recommend this clinic for anyone concerned about their pets health, and pocketbook!

My cat got really sick on Friday wife booked an app. But we booked at a different vet. They still got us in and helped in our time of need. Staff were so helpful and even helped us figure out we we booked and phoned them to cancel. Cant say thank you enough for getting him in.

Absolutely fantastic! Dr. Gidda is kind and honest as well as very thorough! Plus my doggos love him! Everything you want in a vet!

They have a great team of vets and technicians at this location. They currently oversee the care of our dog and 3 cats (2 of which are seniors). When we found out one of our cats was diabetic, Dr. Gidda took the time to explain the options and what costs to expect now and in the long term so we could be prepared and informed. Our cat requires regular spot checks to monitor glucose and Percy has no fear seeing them so often. They treat him like a little prince! When dental was needed for the cats, he also helped prioritize who was more urgent and who could wait a bit longer. This approach was much appreciated as another clinic in the area made me feel quite guilty for not being able to drop $3000 to get it done for all 3 at once. Plus the quotes that Dr. Gidda gave were much more reasonable than VCA and after it was all said and done, the final bill was less than the quote!
You can truly see the care and respect the Centre Street team has for animals big and small. We are so glad we made the change for our furry family!

Just went to purchase the Urinary SO cat food.

It seems that the price fluctuates every time I phone in. Usually vets are cheaper than emergency locations, but not in this case.

That being said, the staff are great, and very receptive.

I suggest for the service, but definitely do some shopping if you're looking for dog or cat food.

I've been talking my dogs to them for many years. They are always knowledgeable, experienced and helpful.

My friend told me about them last year. If I only knew them 30 years ago. The best veterinary place in the city. Everyone is wonderful they really do care and don't make you feel like a number or a cash grab. They give advise over the phone and can get in you really fast if there is a problem with your pet. Will never go anywhere else. Everyone should go to them. Thanks for caring and the great service.

Terrible! Very upset with our male vet! The male vet Charlie and I had was terrible! He needs more time with cats! Charlie was Very tense and more ajitated than usual! The female vet we had our last visit was very calm and gentle with Charlie and next time we go to this vet I definitely will be making sure He's not our vet!

Took my puppies for their first health check and vaccinations. Care was taken and the price was reasonable.

Thank you Dr. Gidda for taking such good care of Quincy and Winston. We will see you next month.
