Very helpful staff. I had to change shipping instructions several times and they were very accommodating. Can't wait to do business with them again! Highly recommended.

I bought a workshop cabinet, specifically a TMG locker and cabinet centre with wood work bench, which was listed as new in the auction. I picked up my item, and all seemed good, until I got home and unloaded the boxes. All boxes were wet inside, as they were left out in the rain. The box with the wood workstation bench had a plastic bag covering the wood, however, the bag was full of water, and consequently, the wooden workshop was damaged, and was moulding. I reached out to the auction house, 5 different times, and gave pictures and a description of the damages. Everytime, I was told that they would get back to me with their solution, and every time I never received any communication back. I would inspect any item you buy from there before paying for it, even if they give you a hassle about opening your items in their lot. I won’t buy any items from them again, that have the potential to be damaged.

Purchased an item in an auction that appeared to be new in the original packaging. Got the item home to find it damaged and essentially unusable. I understand its buyer beware with auction, but it felt deceiving that that was no mention of damage to the item in the listing, and there was no visible damage in any of the pictures. I sent the auction house an email, but they did not respond. My advice; if you are bidding on an item and can't go see it in person, assume it is damaged and bid accordingly. You can't trust the accuracy of the listings.

Great staff, not five star because product description was off. Bought a hood fan announced as 4'x3' and was 6'x4' when got there to pick up

Recently just used this house for a personal purchase, have been in and around the place many times befor with an old employer and it was a good experience. Last minute bid battle online, and then was in and out of their lot within 15 mins of parking on day of pick up. Schedule a time for pick up and it should go pretty quick!

Auction went well. Excellent and easy pick up service afterwards, great staff to deal with with!

Poor management that will never call you back. They list inoperable equipment as functional. Then they offer to resell the equipment at a discount in their next auction as functional equipment. Be cautious when bidding.

I have purchased a few items here and always hassle free, the lady's at the front more than willing to help you and always pleasant to deal with and the fellas in the back the load out guys friendly and easy going.keep up the work

Have purchased items from this auction house twice. Once last year and once in July 2022. Both times waited 45min to an hour in line to pick up items due to under staffing. Even if you pay online and have a copy of your paid invoice you still have to go into the office to get the invoice stamped then head back out to wait in a line to enter the yard.

I dealt with a person by the name of Farryl F. He was phenomenal. This was my first auction experience and this man made it so enjoyable. In the future I will go back to century auctions to buy my equipment. Thank you Farryl for making my experience a memorable one.

Seems like most lots are over priced especially when you factor in the auction premiums. Though there is the odd Gem in there

When I picked up my Purchases yard staff was disorganized and rude. I had to wait around for an hour while the messed around wasting everyone’s time.

Have used the auction on line site a dozen times over the past 3 years selling & buying over 1000 items, I find their policies and procedures the best in the business. The online customers are higher in numbers than I expected. Brad is very easy to deal with and always pulls through with a great sale.

They didn't like my "user name" online and deleted my profile. Terrible customer service wouldn't recommend won't go back

Friendly helpful staff. It's nice being able to check things out in person rather than online before the auction.

Don't drop anything off here that you dont want to go missing or get paid for.
I dropped a few items for auction last November (2020). Never received payment for them. I was told by the manager they were searching everywhere and couldn't find the items. After 10 months and numerous phone calls to the manager, I was offered a couple $5 dollar Tim Horton gift certificates! Real classy.

Century took care of me. I purchased an item from the Fort Sask.location, however the item was damaged between when the photos were taken and when I picked it up. After letting Century know they refunded the entire purchase price of the damaged item. That's all I could ask for given the situation. Thank you Century Auctions.

Terrible business bought several vechiles and wouldn't even supply proper registration don't do business with these people

The pick up procedure in Fort Saskatchewan is brutal.had to leave line-up Friday as it stopped moving.came back before opening Saturday and guess what.no movement 20 mins after opening. I get Covid and everything but I seriously almost left my few small items.

Do not buy from them unless you can actually attend the auction and inspect the item. I bought some car accessories that had photos that were strategically taken to make sure all of the damage that was on them was not shown in photos. Items looked great in photo back side of item has damage and no chrome left and rusted right through. I ended up paying $200.00 for the items that will go straight to the scrap metal bin.

Great auction. Good place to find deals. Hoping someone else who bought the caged totes from synermulch dispersal had an idea of what was in them.

I speak from experience with road auctions. Century staff are nice and mean well but they usually hire local people to help in the yard after the sale. These people are not employed by Century so they don’t care at all about customer satisfaction. If you purchase an item be prepared to go get it right away or don’t be surprised if it’s not there

Bought a bucket on a timed auction
Went to pick it up and it wasn’t there. Was told it would be delivered, 2 weeks later no bucket

A great place to find a deal but boy does that front end staff make you work for a free coffee! Staffs awesome even the mean gal at the front desk! Only bad i got to say is the guy that is supposed to call you back when you ask questions never seems too!

So I bid on a ton of products only to find out that they where in a fire and almost cost me my house when my family was sleeping. Called the main manager and was told they never have to disclose what the condition of the products are and if they were damaged. This company would rather make money than sell a safe product. Bottom line is avoid this company at all cost.

Auction is poorly organized. It happen few times that I purchased the item that could not be found. Today I was bitting on Atco trailer that suddenly disappear from the online auction. When I called to find out what happened to the item, I was told that it should not of been auction in the first place.
Way to go. Item removed hours before the auction closes. In addition the auctioneer lady told me "it is better we removed it now instead you pay for it then we told you that it is not available". I feel lucky.

I agree with many posters that there is lots of room for improvement BUT Century is not any worse (or better) then average auction place in AB.
Plus: One of the managers will refund you or try to work out a deal if your item gets stolen or damaged.
Minus: Theft used to be a huge issue with me and others running around trying to grab stuff before it disappears within hours of auction end.
Plus: You can get your items relatively quickly after auction close - I never had to wait for "hours" - like Richie Bros.
Minus: Item descriptions are rather poor & people that take pictures are not trained what to take pictures off - I seen admin stuff do picture taking and it is done in very "general" way - some training would be nice.
Minus: I know taxes are high in Calgary but driving to High River is a drag as compared to rather close by Michner Allan Auctioneer airport location.
Minus: Fees are a bit high - both competitors offer 10% buyer fees vs. 15%. Seller fees are high as well with high minimums. At 25% fee for small items you would imagine you would not have to bring a truck load of the stuff to make sure $250 min fee is satisfied.
Plus: Website is rather nice and fresh - at least no server failures in the middle of the auction (!) like Richie Bros.
Note I used all mentioned auction places - been active on auctions for years & know some managers personally.

The auction is well run and reasonably well staffed. Once it is over, expect a 2-4 hour wait in days after to pickup whatever you bought. Also get your stuff out asap before it gets stolen. They have very poor security on site. We showed up one day and there was 2 or 3 staff in the yard helping people and 20+ trucks and vehicles outside the yard waiting hours for service.

The young lady in charge I believe was Crystal, was great to deal with she answered questions for us mutiple times and even helped us with loading out our items. We had an issue with one item we bid online with, being damaged by another buyer removing there items but was immediately looked after by Crystal. She phoned her boss Tony who instructed her to give me his direct line. I was unsure what to expect when I called, and blown away by Tony's professional behavior in the matter. He apologised multiple times and resolved the issue giving me a few choices on what they were able to do. ALL were acceptable in my opinion. I took the one that worked best for me. Even before we ended the call he apologised again (slight over kill lol). And confirmed to make sure I was happy with deal. This was my first experience with online bidding and have to say a positive one.

Had a fantastic experience with the lovely ladies at the front desk. Very friendly and helpful! My boyfriend brings lots of boats and equipment here and never had a bad experience!

Have to say these guys are amazing. Consistently satisfied from Shary in the front who his always amazing on the phone and in person. And also to the guys in the back who are very helpful. I always enjoy purchasing through Century.

Century Auctions High River - great people, great site. Wish they would have the timed auctions end at night so could bid on more items.

I always look forward to auction day at Century Auctions! The front office staff, especially Sherry, are always a delight to deal with and extraordinarily helpful. If it's a live auction or online auction, Century is where you have to go!

Great customer service on site and the ladies in the office are very helpful, even the guys on site treat you with respect. Good deals to be had on ClubBid as well. Hard not to over do it! No complaints!

Absolutely the WORST auction I have been to, dont waste your time. Management is running around with no clue, they are just tripping over there own selves. Management says one thing and does the complete opposite. RUDE. I only give the one star rating because i have to, but they do not even deserve that. Everything there is run down, broken in someway or should be in the scrap yard. Don't waste your time and money. Expensive fees! Rude Management! Poor Quality! Poor web platform (lags huge and you miss out on bidding). There offsites have even more rude and arrogant staff.
