As Calgary malls go, Market is making its way back up there. The addition of the theatre these days certainly helps, and the more choice stores and fast food even moreso.
I like this mall. My only comment is about the washrooms. The washrooms by the food court is always clean and have paper towels whereas some other washrooms in the same mall is always out of paper towels…this seems odd to me. Isn’t it the same cleaning team that takes care of all the washrooms in this mall?
I like the variety of stores here. It has all the stores I shop from.
I wish it had a better grocery store though. It could have a big Walmart instead of Safeway.
Also, it would have been nicer if the Starbucks had seating. I always go to DeVille cafe instead of Starbucks because Deville has seating.
Great location for afterschool shopping and hanging around with friends. Good variety of store types. From banks, restaurants, movie theatres, doctor’s offices, and etc. Yet there are too many sporting goods stores throughout.
Getting the mall security to do anything is like pulling teeth. I feel like when I call them I’m doing them a disservice and I feel like I’m a burden for calling the number, I can tell by the tonality of their voice that they are clearly tired of working (which we all are grow up) but the bare minimum that you can do is at least pretend you’re happy to be at work.
I’ve called this mall multiple times as I have business to be done in and around the area, every time I report a safety concern I know nothing is getting done and they are just saying they’ll check it out to appease me.
Guest services is fantastic, if they don’t know something they’ll tell you, but at the very least they’ll give you a point in the right direction.
This mall is essentially just an Apple Store, Sephora, and some of the other billion dollar companies that have a global monopoly.
Overall, if you need something just shop online. CF is you read this please do a PIP on your security team before the ball really drops and something bad happens.
It's one of my favorite mall. This time I visited "The body shop"- such amazing stuff, and really good products-natural, price, with unbelievable smell
Great mall with lots of shops to choose from. My only issue is that the food court feels quite cramped and crowded even when it isn't during holiday season.
UPDATE: we still like making a shopping experience here. The stores are excellent, and the food court has a variety of choices.
While not comparable to its sister mall, the flagship CF Chinook Mall, Market Mall is a wonderful mall to shop in. There are some decent shops with a very large food court full of many variety of cusines, including the original OPA. There is a large selection of stores, including Zara, Sporting Life, Old Navy, Gamestop, Sportchek, and the Bay.
Parking spots are always available. Plus, in the winter, you can park underground in the warmth.
Nice place to spend time, especially for UCalgary students. Market Mall has everything needed, so is a good place to hang out, chill and get whatever required. The staff are maintaining everything good.
