‘‘Twas my first time to shop here last week. I love that they have scene points program here. Fair price and the gentleman with a black head cover is helpful. He wasn’t there on my next visit. It’s a hit and miss on good service, depends who’s there. Would have given 5.

I went to Chalo Freshco yesterdays and a young worker there was doing carts with just a t-shirt. I went to go ask if they were okay and they said they forgot their jacket but the manager still made them do carts for 40 minutes out in minus negative weather. Do better.

I was there last week and usually like coming here. Their prices are reasonable. However, when I went to return my cart, the coin was gone. I went inside to inform the person working security as no other staff member seemed available. She was aware that some carts were broken. It’s surprising that a store is aware that some of their carts are broken but keep them in circulation not offering to reimburse the customer for their lost coin. I would expect the broken carts to pulled until they can be fixed.

Definitely a good place for all uour shopping needs, the only thing to company needs more focus is neatness of the things in the store, it kinds seem less cared and managed places

Every week new flyer is coming by mail for new sale for the grocery and household items fresh vegetables

One bathroom for men and women, this is disgusting. Waiting for some guy to get out of the washroom. Plural, I can't believe this. You would think we're in a 3rd world country. Thus, the guy is taking forever, and now there's a lineup.

Multiple staff wandering around and chatting. ONE till open, with a line up! No self check outs open. Cashier had to call manager over twice which wasn't a problem. Things happen, but when that manager starts chatting with another employee (not work related) instead of opening another till its ridiculous. First and last time I will go there.

One positive is the store is clean and tidy which I think they spend more time on than helping customers.

Customer service is very bad. No body willing to help. I spent more than half an hour asked help 3 person they just ignoring

Good place for authentic indian groceries, although bit pricey at times. But location is a super plus for south Edmonton residents. Big store with wide variety of fresh food and grocery haul.

Good place for large grocery shopping trips. Pharmacy section is very small and not stocked up well.

They are selling expired halal meat in their department. Today is 14 Dec and the tag on the meat said best before 14 Dec 2022. Please be aware of it. I am going to complain this to food safety department and plz urge the other people to do that for the safety of the public.

Its specific about quality of product or food that I bought. Stale, smelly seriously i felt sick after opening that box. Literally garbage

I have no complaints about staff or anything.

I was going to fresh co for the first time and I didn't know where anything was and I was clueless, then I saw a worker and I asked him for help. His name was Baltej Mahli. He helped me find everything I needed. He was the best employee ever. Amazing worker and deserves a raise.

Great store to have grocery done with lots of variety with lots of Indian people purchasing Indian stuff in abundance.

Prices are way too high and washroom is out of order most of the time.

Good place to look for Indian stuff, they are trying really hard to save money on cashiers, expect line up at check outs

No deli counter, pharmacy is roughly 3 half-aisles. However, there's somehow room in the store for 2 or more while aisles of all sorts of different kinds of rice. I'm clearly not this store's target audience and won't be coming back unless it's for a quick staple item like milk.

It's one of the best option to purchase your daily needs and feel to buy from your country. It has variety of options and some of them can only be found in Chalo FreshCo only!

Poor service, no one availble to help…. General stuff do no on self, no fresh vagetable same as save on food

My over all shopping experience was good. I just wished the place was a bit bigger. The entrance and exit are kind of same. So It gets very crowded. But if you are looking for Indian grocery, this is the ultimate place though with lots of fresh vegetables, spices etc.

It's honestly upsetting how they don't provide a shopping cart retriever for there staff. Every time I go to the produce section they never have fresh fruits or veggies not my go to for groceries.

Lots of items way lower than local desi grocery stores. Staff could be a bit more friendly.
Visited again and seen lots of staff but not productive. Isles are not arranged and felt like we are walking in some sort of 2nd hand store. (Value Village)

Best place for Asian grocery in Edmonton good quality and better prices than other stores. Staff is very polite and helpful always love to shop there at 17th street location

I bought few bags of Indian snacks on June 18 2022, Mirch Masala brand and found out that dates on packaging were expired when brought home.

Prices were awesome when they first opened. They are increasing slowly. But so is everything else with inflation. Great meat selection.

Best store best price for Punjabi grocery. Best ice-cream kulfi rabri and kulfi pista try it you will love it. Only this store have kulfi option. You will not find in any other stores.

Clean, huge, low prices, a ton of variety and fresh produce! Definately the spot to shop groceries.

The girl today, who was us on counter 2 was really rude. We were there at around 12: 30 pm and it felt that she really doesn’t want to help us and doesn’t appreciate her job

I bought some groceries a few hours ago today, and the chicken thighs were already rotten. When i complained to customer service the staff was very rude to me. Please be careful when shopping here next time. They do not care about customer’s health.the customer service said it was customer’s responsibility to buy the chicken correctly even though the chicken said it would expire in 2 days.
So they don’t care about people’s health so please careful.

Great selection of items overall, and quite generous opening hours.

SE was missing a halal meat shop, and the one in this store is amazing. Halal meat section is very well organized and a vast selection of meats.

Good variety of stuff. Lots of Indian groceries and staple items. Good Halal meats from west gate halal at competitive prices makes this store unique from others.

It's ok. But it's definitely not very clean.prices are basically the same as everywhere else. I think I'll stick to my superstore.since they also price match.

I bought a coconut and when I came home and I broke it and it was rotten inside. So usually when it happens the store exchange it because of the product quality. But at Chalo freshco, nothing was done. Usually I shop at superstore and specially if the product is bad they don’t worry about the receipt. I also mentioned that I did not want to return this product so I didn’t keep the receipt but nothing happened. Finally I just had to give her to throw away that coconut. So don’t go there if you have another choice or keep the receipt until you have the guarantee that every product will be okay.good luck!

Very good customer service by supervisor. Had purchased a product by mistake, went to return on Monday, asked 2 employees to no avail, paged supervisor okayed it right away. What a service, 2 thumbs up for your understanding and listening to my side. In future will be back to shop for more good deals. Thanks again.

I bought the goat meat from here it's really bad and smells really bad it's totally waste please sale real goat

I was at this location last week and the store itself is lovely and they have quite a selection but their front end staff is soo so rude no acknowledgement wat so ever no hi or bye they treat you like garbage specifically the East Indian staff they definitely need allot of Training in customer service. I would rather spend a little bit more and go somewhere else where I am valued as a customer

I had very bad experience with this store. It already happened twice. Yesterday I went there but I forgot my mask so I send my daughter inside to get a mask for me. So the guy over there he gave my daughter a mask n then she asked another girl she was on counter 1 to give her a mask. Her name was Ishika. She said to her that you are already holding a mask why u need another.my daughter said it's for my little sister which was with her. One question do she get it those masks from her house that she is having problem in giving. Another when I went to scan to same counter she never greet. Never say hi or thank you. She is so rude. I dont know what happened to young staff nowadays.i think every store do surprise checks with dummy customers to know the behavior of their staff towards customers. Thats what I feel

Most importantly the halal section is amazing and never seen like it before in chain store. And the people their are amazing.

Place just opened, everything is super clean and well-organized. Prices are comparable to Sobeys/Co-op, some stuff (like bananas) is a great deal. They have a lot of stuff that you look at & say "Hey, I always wanted to try that. "

Great selection of vegetables and fruits. Prices are cheaper than other grocery stores. Liked it

It’s ok, self checkout is extremely small. Like there’s what, 6 checkouts and you can barely maneuver your cart in that area. It’s pathetic. They’re also extreme hounds about everything, they don’t even have plastic bags in the self checkout area.the stores setup is pretty odd having the bacon and such on one end and the meats over at another side.also there’s way too many people in there for everyone to stay 6 feet apart

I was really excited to shop at FreshCo when it first opened but after my fist shopping I was really disappointed. The vegetables and fruits were of low quality. They started going bad after a couple of days. The fruits didn't even taste as good as the ones you get from Costco or Superstore. Plus, the staff needs to pay more attention on the sale prices. They charged me more than the sale prices. I wouldn't have noticed it if I didn't check my receipt.

Bit of a line up due to limited covid capacity of 165 people. So when 1 person comes out, the next goes in. Good management on their part.

Nonetheless, great selection of items that you find in walmart and superstore but with slightly better or same prices. Good selection on desi items from Pakistan and India. Plus point for halal meat section but could have had better fresh variety since it's mostly Chicken. Need to add goat or better beef cuts. Overall good!

I was excited for this store to open, it didn't disappoint. I love that there is a large international selection in this store. Plus having a family size frozen bags of things is great. The only thing keeping me from giving a 5 star was the not being able to comfortably shop in the store when I came. With Covid, it seemed to me people weren't giving anyone their 6 feet apart especially when it came to walking the aisles. Staff wasn't even saying anything to customers about spacing out.

Chalo fresco is a newly open market. I found everything I need.they were very friendly especially the lady at the counter area she is approachable and always smiling.

Staff don't know whats sales price, over charged me on items which were on sales. Make sure u guys check the receipt. They need to train their staff more.or just go to walmart.

This is my first time here and I just came to check it out to see what it was. The plaxe has a No Frills kind of feel.

It also seems to be a specialty store targeted for South Asians mostly. In fact there was a lot of selection of foods from South Asia here, including a lot of the fresh foods and marinated raw meats. I will have to come back because it looks so good.

So happy they open this store near me! They have so much varieties of halal meat! This will be my number 1 store from now on! And the bonus part is it’s 3 mins away from me! Also the guy who’s selling from the west gate meat is amazing!

Great variety for desi items contain exquisite spices and other Indian snacks. Everything is available. I loved that I did not have to go for fresh meat to a different shop. Chicken cut in Indian style and cheap Moreover they sell chicken liver fresh. I also found mutton being sold at a great price. All in all amazing experience.

This is the first Chalo Freshco supermarket in Edmonton. It's at the junction of 23 Avenue and 17 street. It's in south Edmonton. The location is great. This is a big store with lots of free parking space. They have a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables reasonably priced. There is a Hala meat department by Westgate and a marinated meat product department run by Frasier View. The products are all well priced. There are a number of international products available here. Some rare fruits and vegetables that are not easily found in Edmonton are also available here. This was truly a pleasant surprise. The deals on offer are worth purchasing. They are taking all the necessary precautions due to the pandemic. They have a Bakery section. There is a good Choice of products in the frozen section. It also has a Pharmacy inside the store. I noticed that the owner Mr. Wilson and the staff were very helpful when customers needed assistance. To sum up it's a Store with a unique style. I would recommend this place as you get everything under one roof.

This place is great, I believe this place is directed towards east Indian people as there is lots and lots of Indian foods and spices that I just love. There's lots of people working to help, fair prices and good deals going on right now. There's a deli section with freshly marinated meats made daily. I bought some tandoori chicken which I'll make in a couple days and update my review on how it was. Check this place out, you won't be disappointed. I'll definitely be going back!
