I used to just LUV going 2 Chapters but they always seem 2 b closed whenever I can get there. Their hours of operation seem 2 always b changing since COVID. Their plum membership renewal ($40 per year?) is just too expensive 4 a store whose hours r so unpredictable.
Shoutout to Stewart at the St. Albert location. He went above and beyond to get my student more books for the price limit we were given. People like this make a difference in the world, support kids love of reading, and show that there is still so much kindness. Thank you so much!
As always chapters has a ton of potential gift idea for everyone on your list. This one seemed nicely organized and clean, so I appreciate that.it was super busy and the line was very very long, of course we were all.spacing.etc, so that added to it, I will say, it moved really fast despite that, so that was good too! Overall great visit.
Not quite sure why Indigo Chapters feels the need to enforce stricter masking rules than what the municipality or province has mandated. Seems absurd, and creates stressful and unpleasant experiences between staff and clientele. I was told my face covering wasn't good enough. I decided to overlook it, adjust to the overreaching demands, and still made a purchase. Upon leaving, I saw a woman enter unmasked and be questioned by an employee as to whether she had a mask. The woman, not slowing down, replied "oh, yeah" and pulled a blue mask from her pocket. A few paces away, she shoved it back into her pocket. I'm sure that's because this location won't even allow people with medical exemptions enter the store to shop. This is not higher standards for the good of everyone. My experience was so awkward today that I may not return to this location until all this is over.
Waited in line to purchase a book and inquire about other items behind the till. Was told to return to back of line and not allowed to purchase my book because they did not have what I wanted in stock.
I found lots of Adult Coloring books for a new hobby I started. All the staff I interacted with were helpful, friendly, and courteous. You can always count on Chapters to have whatever you are looking for.
Kind of annoying that they want to push their paid rewards program as soon as you walk in the door during COVID times. I also was a bit frustrated that they labeled something as being cheaper than it rang through as.this is the third time this has happened at this location. This isn't my favorite location.
It's a book store, who doesn't love books? Did they have every book I wanted? No, but that's not their fault. That's my fault for getting there after you. Stay safe. Stay healthy. Keep reading.
Good selection of books of all genres. Always something interesting to find. Staff friendly and helpful. Found a nice basic journal at a reasonable price.
I was actually in starbucks. But the starbucks is INSIDE the chapters, so I feel comfortable posting a review of chapters. Chapters is a book store, but they also various home good with a touch of class. Also clothing, I've just been informed. This particular Starbucks-chapters combo has very good vibes. I studied for several hours. I worked on two, separate, distinct, different, projects. I had a good time here, and I hope you will too!
My girlfriend could live here. We spent FOREVER HERE. Great if you love books. Cause there is always a large selection. Went this time for a adult coloring book containing swears. They had one. It was funny. Thanks chapters
Lots of classic books but I wish they would go out on a limb and get more less known authors and more complete series of books instead of just one or two books in the middle.
