When we started our search for a real estate agent we knew that we wanted someone who truly listened to our needs, had our best interests at heart and would help us with every step along the way because let’s face it, buying a home is quite daunting. Ashley was an unbelievable agent for my partner and I. As first time home buyers, we didn’t really know what to expect out of the house buying experience. Ashley walked us through the whole process. She was very patient with us and was open to see any property we were interested in. Her schedule flexibility was also great as she was always able to find time for us. I just bought my first condo through Myles Duncan with Charles Real Estate. Myles was fantastic - he helped me narrow down the right place that met my criteria and helped me get a great price. Myles was patient with my nitpicking and promptly replied every time I reached out to him for details on each place. He came prepared for each showing with the stats on the unit, building, and area. He even would pick me up from work for my convenience. I would highly recommend Myles for people looking for real estate in Calgary - I will certainly be reaching out to him for my next purchase!

Had the worst first time buyer experience with Carmen Zaharia. She’s very friendly in the beginning but as soon as we found the house we thought we wanted, things went downhill from there. She barely guided us through the process, didn't tell us what to do/not to do. Didn’t suggest us to do a 24 hour final walk through (we found out after everything was finished that we were entitled to this; we would have definitely done it we were aware at the time). Didn’t try to negotiate the price, but instead kept telling us that the house could sell quickly and rushed us in putting an offer. We ended up buying the house at asking price (in a buyers market). It didn’t end there, during the inspection, she gave us attitude the whole time & when we asked to get the owner to fix certain things, she declined and said she doesn't like dealing with the current owner as they’re hard to deal with. To make things worse, on closing day (which she knew over a month ago when our closing date was), we were supposed to get the keys at noon and she asked us to wait until 4 or 5pm because she has "a meeting at noon" which made no sense.
I wish I had better things to say but it was honestly just the worse experience overall, I ended up hating the house we bought because of this whole experience with Carmen.

I recommend never using Charles Real Estate. I had the worst experience with a real estate agent named Teresa Urbanson. I saw several properties with her and had many questions which she could not seem to answer. I don't expect a real estate agent to know everything but the way she responded to questions I found very irritating. She made it seem like I was the problem for even asking things. At one point she even recommended buying the most expensive house we looked at because her commission would be higher. I couldn't believe the audacity. One Star.

Ashley is amazing! I had listed my condo with another realtor for several months prior to meeting with Ashley, and I'd received very little interest in my unit. Ashley made a few minor recommendations for how to show the unit, and within three weeks I had multiple offers, and sold my condo for full asking price. Ashley is very responsive and client oriented. Highly recommend!

We were fortunate to hire her to sell our condo back in February, she did a great job answering all our questions, anytime I called or texted she was back with me almost immediately, she gave us her opinion and then backed her opinion with believable stats. Spencer helped us with buying our first house and it was a super positive experience. We were definitely on the low end of the scale budget wise and Spencer still gave us the attention it seemed he would to any buyer. He was also great at connecting us with different contractors and lawyers and helping with the MANY steps along the way since we had never done this before.
