All in all, my buying experience at Charlesglen was great. My sales associate was easily the best I've ever dealt with and was a pleasure (Vivek). Not a lot of pressure in the finance office either.

HOWEVER. I had traded in a vehicle, and the used vehicle manager low-balled the trade value, as anticipated. I know how it works and am not naive enough to think that this wouldn't be the case. What has eroded my trust and overall respect is that I was told in plain English that the dealership plans to make $x on the sale of my vehicle, and that they could only provide $y in trade value because they would be listing it at $z. Well, they've now listed my vehicle 25% higher than they told me they would.

Again - at the end of the day I agreed to the deal, and on the whole the experience was great. I understand there is going to be some grey area around numbers when it comes to buying/trading a vehicle and it's the dealership's prerogative to sell something for whatever the market is willing to pay. What rubs me the wrong way is that I was explicitly lied to.

Took my wife's car in for a new battery and they forgot or something to order one. In the end they came through and it was installed. They compensated us for the inconvenience. My wife bought her first Echo (used) here in the early 2000s and has bought Toyota ever since. We will go there again for service as needed.

2013: Bought a used vehicle from Charles Glen. The purchasing experience was very good. Everyone was organized and professional.
Service, on the other hand, was quite unimpressive. Booked an appointment for an oil change and specifically told them I did not want any other service or checks. Also told them I'd be waiting for it. Was quoted less than an hour. They have a nice restaurant and good coffee so an hour is not a problem.
What actually happened is it took over 2 hours for the oil change. While waiting imagine my surprise when I saw my vehicle being driven onto the lot! Why was it taken off the lot, especially after I specified not to check anything else? When I got home and popped the hood I saw that they spilled oil over the top of the engine. I had personally cleaned the engine of dust and grime not 2 weeks beforehand and now there was oil on top of the engine courtesy of the people that should be taking care of their customer's vehicles. They did not wash the outside of the vehicle like other dealers so no points there. Their service was sloppy and disrespectful by making me wait longer than they quoted, and they took my car off the lot for no reason (my instructions were not to check anything else precisely to avoid this).
Good sales experience offset by a poor service experience makes them just an average dealer and worse than my previous dealer. I cannot trust their service department. Will likely go elsewhere for my next vehicle.
April 2023: I've since purchased 3 new vehicles from other dealers. That's what poor service and rude response to my complaint cost you so far.
June 2023: I see your message Brent but I can't get an email address for you from your web site or your company's chat. They are sending me to the general sales email. Do you use email?
July 2023: Your company's junior tech took my sports car for a joy ride but the service manager at the time decided to defend the actions of the tech instead of being customer-orientated and apologize. I have dashcam footage should you want it. If you want to discuss it post your email address because I can't get it. Is email against Charlesglen policy?

Me and my wife after work around 6: 30pm walk- in your store want to have a quick deal with you guys for lease a RAV4. We don't want to waste people's time, cause we know it's late time already for everyone.we asking a reasonable price around 1200$ off for a RAV4 2022 XLE premium pre-orded and willing to pay 5500$ security deposite. There have a Chinese male sale name I remember called Kingsley. His attitude was very professional and patient. Even though it was very late, he was patient enough to introduce our products and provide test drive services, also when we asking a deal, he try very best to help us to taking with their manager for approve. BUT their was a Asian Male Manager with glasses and earring directlty come to talk to us. His attitude is very arrogant. His reason is that cars are in short supply and our company owner is in financial crisis, so a discount is out of the question. If you don't buy it, others will buy it. We won't give you a cent discount. That's the price. Well! This is very funny, the boss of your company has a financial crisis, what matters to customers, we go to buy a car to alleviate your financial crisis, but I have never seen this reason in so many years of car buying experience, this man is a GENIUS! But anyway I give 5 star for your sales man! And 0 star for the manager! The sales here is awesome! He's service worth 100 stars even.

I usally do my Highlander serviced here, yesterday I called them that I bought used Toyota Venza & lost Lug Nut Adapter & if they can help remove that lug nut & I will use regular nuts after, Lady said yes & there won't be any charge, I went in evening & No one helped me, made me to buy Adapter. I was long time customer but only beacuse of that won't get vehicle service from them onwards.

I had a worst experience with them. I bought a car in july and the car had winter tires on it and they did not mentioned me about winter tires. As it was too hot in those days one of the tire was blasted. And when i call them at that time they i had to check at the time of purchase. I dont know much about the cars so i did not knew that they can sell car in winter tires in july, which is the hotest month of the year.

Just bought a new car from Charlesglen Toyota,
This one star is strictly for the finance department - a perfect example of incompetence.
The sales team and I agreed on a deal last month and decided to go forward with it.
When I went to pick up my new car and close the deal the finance manager Rick tried to get me to sign the contract with 1% higher interest rate and 13$ higher Biweekly payments - that’s 2000$ more over 72 months than what I agreed to.
His excuse was that I didn’t get approved by Toyota Credit so he got the approval from a bank and the bank’s rate of interest was higher.
The most annoying part is that he never bothered to tell me that the biweekly payments and the interest rate have increased! All he said was congratulate me on my approval. Moreover the email he sent me with the car details said that I was approved for financing through Toyota Credit.
When I refused to take the delivery, he escaped through the back door of his office passing the hot potato to the sales team. The sales team jumped in and gave me the original deal as promised.

Recently purchased a new car from CharlesGlen - My sales guy MAX was incredible! He wasn't pushy, listened to exactly what I wanted and needed in a car and was highly proffesional.

This dealership is awesome kind and were very helpful they gave us a good deal and our dealer Mike worked on getting us as good of a deal as he could. They also have a museum like corner with a vintage Supra, MR2 and a couple of vintage LandCruisers. On top of this they are also very pet friendly.

When I originally walked in to look at a car, the salesperson was quite professional and helpful in explaining my options. After visiting a few other dealerships, I opted to go with Charlesglen Toyota because of their service and the fact that their pricing was comparable to that of other dealerships. When I arrived to pick up my car, it was evident that they were only interested in getting me out the door as quickly as possible. We were directed to wait for one of the delivery personnel to come visit us after signing in to pick up my new car. We waited half an hour for the delivery person to come to visit us on a Friday at 10 a.m. (with only a handful of clients in the showroom). The delivery technician wanted me to sign off on a document when I said I wanted to read it before I sign it. He blankly told me I don’t have time for this and passed me off to the next person without signing the document. I had purchased winter tires and when I questioned if the bolts for the winter tires were included in the purchase, the finance manager went through the documentation and said they should be in the car. Instead of telling us where the bolts were placed, he told us to look for them in the car and assured us that they would be found. We didn't find the bolts after inspecting the entire car, so I went back to the finance manager, but he was occupied, so I asked another salesman where they would have kept it. He searched the vehicle but came up empty-handed. At this point, he passed me back to the salesperson from whom I purchased the car, who rushed to the repair shop and returned to us, assuring us that the bolts on the winter and summer tire are interchangeable. We wasted an hour looking for something that shouldn't have been there in the first place. Nobody gave us the time of the day to show us where the accessories or add-ons we bought were stored, and no one questioned if I was satisfied with the condition of the vehicle. When I inquired about the location of the accessory, even one of the salespeople had no idea. We discovered that once we put a deposit down on a car, the employees at Charlesglen Toyota were only willing to put in the bare minimal effort. I would have cancelled my purchase and gone to another dealer if I didn't need the car the next day. The service at Charlesglen was so bad that I asked them to take the sticker off the back of my SUV because I couldn't advertise this business to anyone in good faith. What should have been an exciting day for me, getting to drive away in a new car, turned into a nightmare. I would highly recommend people to visit another dealership when looking to purchase a car.

***UPDATE***
As per the comment under my review, I called the GM, and he did help me figure out that I didn't require separate lug nuts for my winter tires, so I did appreciate that. When asked if they could do anything to make my experience better, I suggested some complimentary oil changes and was quickly met with name calling and rudeness by their GM. I am not sure what he was expecting but I have never met with such rudeness and unprofessional behaviour. If my suggestion wasn’t something that Charlesglen could accommodate, a simple “we can’t do that” would have sufficed. But to try humiliating a customer for suggesting a solution to a problem is beyond unprofessional. The icing on the cake was finding out after purchasing a SUV, they don't even have my address on file.

I bought a car from here last year and faced many difficulties. I spend 600$ to fix oil leak from the car after days of buying it because Charlesglen absolutely refused to help and take ownership of the fixing in any way. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. They requested me to give them a five star review, after I gave the review, they were very disorganized and unprofessional.

Please don’t waste your time here.

I have purchased many new vehicles over the years from other dealerships and have to say that working with Charlesglen Toyota was the absolute best experience by far!
My business partner and I live in Vancouver but purchased a new vehicle from Charlesglen in Calgary as we were told by dealerships here on the coast that it would take 6-8 months to get the same vehicle.
The sales experience was seamless and Alex the Sales Manager is so professional and knowledgable. Even with his busy schedule Alex returned our calls and texts immediately with the correct answers.
The finance department was equally as easy to work with and when it came time to help us with the proper documentation for ICBC everything was handled quickly and correctly. Time was definitely of the essence for us and Khalil our Finance Manager went above and beyond to help us out. I must have reached out to Khal a dozen times over the course of a few days and each time he responded immediately. Thanks Khal. I know you're a busy guy and really appreciate your help!

Went in July 12th 2021 with the intent of looking at a vehicle. Omid, saw my father and I looking and provided excellent assistance with helping narrow down my interests into a car. He walked us through everything and then passed me along to Rick in financing. Rick was absolutely fantastic in laying out things that would be needed for the vehicle and how much it would cost.

Through the week I was in touch with Rick and he again was very professional and helpful. I ended up picking up my car the following Monday and was very happy with everything. I was looking for a new car for about 8-9 months.everywhere i went i felt pushed and didn’t really have the best experience.my boyfriend and i decided that it was time to make the drive and go to calgary to look at some cars (we live in lethbridge). Before we went, i took a look on kijiji to find some things i was interested in.i came across a Hyundai Tucson that i was really interested in.i called the dealership and was really impressed by the customer service i was greeted with by the receptionist.the receptionist forwarded me to Alison and let me tell you she is AMAZING! Alison got my in contact with Justin and he too is AMAZING! Justin took time out of his busy days to go out and take pictures of the car and tell me all the details, the car facts, and everything that i would need to know before test driving.when we got to calgary a few days later it was honestly the best experience.i test drove a couple vehicles and ended up falling in love with the Hyundai. Justin was very open and honest about the whole situation and didn’t once sugary coat anything.honesty is the best policy and i’m so happy that.i will never buy a vehicle that isn’t from there.they 100% have all my business.the staff, the environment, honesty, and the kindness made buying my first car the best thing ever.

I recently purchased a 4 Runner from Andrew at Charlesglen. From the beginning they were straight forward and honest. I went to every other dealership in Calgary, and nobody would give me a straight answer about the price. Charlesglen gave me the best price right from the beginning, and nobody else beat it! They are a great dealership and I plan on taking my new 4 Runner and my Sienna to them for regular service.

Back again in 2021 to pick up my brand new Rav4 Limited. This time with Max on sales, who listened to my needs and did is best to meet them. Jim was back to show me arond the car, making sure i understood all the new feature. Great team.

I went to Charlesglen to trade a Rav 4 for a Tacoma. I Did not received the truck we agreed on and salesman is blaming me for not checking the contract he wrote. Never again.

I dealt with Garnet when I bought my used car at Charlesglen in June of this year and he was great. No pressure at all and very informative. I would highly recommend dealing with him and when we need to replace our other car I will definitely go back to talk to him.

The staff when I went to pick up the car the day after I bought it were great as well. When I was in the financing office they brought my 2 year old son that was with me a couple Matchbox cars that were such an easy but much appreciated touch.

I bought a used 2015 car and it looked brand new with the amazing detailing job the shop did. Very impressive. We will be back.

Normally, their service is top notch; we bought both our vehicles from here. The only time I've had an issue was when I took my truck in for a frame inspection as per the recent class action lawsuit. I'm glad I went to another Toyota dealership for a second opinion. Found out truck failed and the frame needs replacement. Have not gotten any response from service team regarding discrepancies. Hope this situation was a one-off.

I purchased a used vehicle on Saturday October 13. Charlesglen Toyota had the vehicle i was looking for, so we drove the 150km to Calgary to have a look at it. I had to leave the Country for a week for work and we were under pressure to buy a vehicle that day or my wife would be without a car for the time i was gone. Having a closer look at the vehicle it had significant damage on the right side, that wasn't visible in the pictures and also not mentioned. It was snowing on that day and the car had summer tires, so i did only a short testdrive. It felt a bit soft and spongy, but i blamed it on the low tire pressure. After arguing back and forth for a while, we agreed on a price and we took the vehicle home. Today while installing winter tires and finally having a closer look, i'm very disappointed. Obviously their technicians don't know what a torque wrench is, because the wheel lock socket broke during removal, because the lock was insanely tightened. I also found out, that the rear shocks are extremely worn out, causing the spongy ride! How can they pass the AMVIC inspection with shocks like this?

Update, after communicating with the used car sales manager, they agreed to supply me with a pair of rear shocks and a wheel lock set. Installed everything today and i'm happy with the vehicle now. Upgraded from one to three star rating, because all the fuzz was unnecessary, if they would have done their job right to begin with.

I wanted to let you know about the great experience I had with your shuttle driver Joan!

She was such a pleasure to ride with, courteous and abides by road laws (Like not dialing phone numbers while driving). She was very aware of what was going on around her too!

When I approached the van she heard me speaking to someone that pulled up behind her. That person wanted to make sure I was going to be at a meeting in the next 15 min. After being in the van for about 5 min she said to me, if you need to take a call please feel free to do so, I will turn down the fans and anything else I can to keep it quiet. Was great that she picked up on that.

My call hadn't finished yet when we arrived at the dealership so she said "You stay (by show of her hands) " and let me stay in the vehicle until my call was done, giving me the quiet I needed to wrap up.

I have had a ride with Joan before and it's just great chatting with her. She shares some great tips on driving too! When it was time to buy a new vehicle, I went to several dealerships. When I walked into Charlesglen Toyota on late weekday, Sean was very friendly and approachble. He was very patient with me, showing me all possible options in my price range. I took approximately 3 weeks to, finally, make a decision. Through the 3 weeks, Sean was open and honest with all information. When it was time to pick up my vehicle a gentleman by the name of Mark was amazing. He showed me all the features on the vechile and made sure I was familiarized with them. He moved at just the right pace.
