I recently had brunch with 2 close friends. The staff was lovely, warm and genuine. They were very accommodating of our dairy allergy at the table. The atmosphere continues to be lovely as ever there, and the food itself was amazing with lovely flavors and beautiful presentation. Highly recommend.

Booked a table for 8 in Alice’s room, for a miniature wedding reception. Athmosphere, awesome, no neon lights. Menu beyond tasty and the service was wonderful. A perfect experience, and it won’t be our last

Delicious food, great atmosphere, super friendly and fast service. Will definitely visit again. The chicken sandwich is unreal and the green beans are great to share.

Nice atmosphere, great service and reasonable pricing. Menu has many choices but would like to see some meat options added. Examples: Beef, bison, or venison. A simple cut of either, done with a French cuisine flair by the very competent chefs they have would be appreciated and make the dining experience even greater.

My wife and I stopped in for our first visit and we already can't wait to return to try more of the menu. We had the French Onion Soup, Sugar Shack Fried Chicken Sandwich, Chicken & Mushroom Risotto, and of course their Poutine. The French Canadian food was great and we loved the atmosphere! Felt like we were in the comforts of home while also enjoying a fine dining date. The staff and service was excellent. See you again soon!

Went here for lunch in September and it was a bucket list restaurant that I had to try before it closed. It was amazing. I got the Chicken Sandwich and it was probably the best one I've ever had! The baked goodies were amazing too!
We drove an hour to try it and it was so worth it. I was so happy when I heard this restaurant will remain open. I cant wait to come back and try new things!

Service was fantastic. I love this place and wanted support local.although bakery&Lunch menus are very over priced for what it is. Almond Croissants for $8.50? How about remove all that fancy powders… any famous french bakery does not cost that much.

One of the most classiest restaurants I've been to in a while. Obviously a friendly staff. They have a wine and beer menu which changes weekly. The food menu has something for everyone. They have great ambiance as soon as you walk in the door. We each tried different dinner dishes. My favourite from the ones we chose was the Duck. Beaumont needed a restaurant like this and I'm glad we finally got one. Way to go Beau!

A must try. Delicious food, good atmosphere, kind staff, lots of homemade options, kid friendly. Menu changes to keep it interesting! I will be back.
Desserts and breads were a great extra to bring home.

Chartier has become my favourite restaurant to dine at. Every time I’ve gone the staff is super friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is inviting and welcoming and the food is beyond amazing. So happy you get to keep your doors open.

Dinning is absolutely delicious. I got brunch here once with my family, I can’t remember what it’s called but it’s similar to an eggs Benedict. One of the best brunches i’ve had. I'm editing my review now that i've had a few more meals here. This restaurant is a gem in the community and i'm so thankful they're staying open! I highly recommend the sugar shack fried chicken sandwich and the fries are FANTASTIC. Even if you just have a little bit of time or can't get a reservation, the patio is walk-in for bakery and drinks!

However, their bakery is an absolute 5-star on it’s own. Genuinely, this place is Michelin star material.

I regret not coming to this place earlier on! But I will definitely be back to try the other tasty looking items on the menu! Try the Sugar Shack Fried Chicken Sandwich! Just thinking about it makes my mouth water and my stomach growl.

Dining post Covid is a frustrating experience for both parties, as prices continue to increase and food and service continue to be very mediocre, and this was no exception. I have heard so many incredible things about Chartier, so of course, hearing that they were about to close prompted my reservation. The service was friendly, but a bit clumsy and lacking in confidence. The food was barely elevated comfort food at a premium price. The wine list is really expensive, with very pricey glass pours and every bottle being around $70. Wine glasses were also not completely clean at the bottoms. The mains felt about $10 higher than they should have been, and the value for money was simply not there. I anticipated that the small menu would have meant that every item was perfected, but that wasn’t the case. Factor in that a lot of their customers are likely making the 30-40 minute drive, and it was just such a miss. Wish you all the best, but will certainly not be returning.

I was short on money and the payed for me and there realy nice over all 5 out of 5 for the stars and the food tast great I know that they put the hearts into every meal

Absolutely fantastic with their staple items, delicious sourdough, poutine and salad. Wished we had skipped on the ceviche special as the chips they came with were soggy and cold from the ceviche lying on it (they were meant to be room temp, but we just would have preferred them warm and a bit crispier). Otherwise a 10/10 and would definitely go again!

Wanted to try this place forever. Slightly underwhelmed. It was FREEZING in the restaurant and the music was super loud we couldn’t hear each other talk.
Ordered the fried chicken sandwich and breakfast poutine. Fries were not crispy and almost soggy….
Won’t be back as my first choice.
Bakery however was full of amazing goodies. Though the way it’s set up is super hard to order and there’s no pricing on anything.

We tried this spot after hearing it was closing. I had a bad experience but felt bad about posting a bad review. I heard they're staying open so here it goes:
The only thing I liked were the haricot verts. The chicken sandwich had a weird herb taste and sweet taste. It seemed like almost everything had maple in it. The worst part was the gravy in the poutine was too salty- as salty as ocean water. I love salty food but I couldn't eat this poutine- neither could anybody else in our table. I told the waitress about it and she was not helpful at all- told me there was nothing they can do about this overly salty gravy. I almost asked her to bring me hot water so I can mix it with the gravy when I remembered this is supposed to be a sit-down restaurant and not fast food. We have to drive 40minutes to this restaurant and we're never going back there again.

I’m so glad to hear that Chartier is going to remain open. We had such a beautiful brunch there today and Taylor was an incredible server. Such a gem!
