Chasin' Tails

My 1 year old puppy is a lot at times, so I put him into the EDUplay program and let me tell you I see the difference in him. He listens better and I can bring him down from being amped up a lot easier. I would recommend the program to anyone with a puppy who can be a bit much. The photo is him staring back towards the building after leaving. He didn't want to leave. He never does.

Was very disappointed with this facility as a first time client. We took our dog in for the first time. The interaction with the front desk was not very welcoming or communicative to say the least. We filled out all the paperwork and trusted them with our 1 year old boarder collie. When we came back after 6 hours we received her assessment report and it was not what we know as our dog to be. None the less we asked if we could take this report with us and the girl at the front said No and that we would have to take a picture of it. We were not told anything else. We were told that the person who did the assessment had gone home and we would receive a call. So we took our pup home as she was very eager to leave. Within 10 min of us arriving at home she projectile vomited to the point where it was coming out of her nose. It was a yellow liquid and what looked like raw chicken. We called to ask what they had given her. We were unable to get an hold of anyone and we have yet to receive a call from anyone regarding the report let alone what they fed her. She threw up the next morning as well but seems to be doing better now. We definitely will not be coming back to this facility.

This place is fantastic. It's clean and they treat me and my dog with love and care and respect. I take my dog there once a week and he loves it!

Absolutely amazing! The staff are welcoming, knowledgeable, and willing to help you figure out which of the many programs best suits your dog.
I’ve taken L. I. F. E class, Pet first Aid, my reactive girl (a halo husky I adopted from Chasin Tails) has done Day School & LIFE school & gets groomed & dyed & loves it!
The “SkyBox” is an amazing idea to be able to see the entire building all at once, and the staff go up with you to answer any questions you might have.
The communication from the staff about how my girl was in whatever program she was in is amazing.
Everyone is very accommodating. We will definitely be life long clients!

I had to bring my dog Millie here for the first time for boarding, really last minute. They were so accommodating despite her not having had a meet and greet yet. They kept her in a private kennel until the following morning when they were able to do her assessment. The report that we received was so detailed and insightful. After that, she was cleared for free play. They understood her very well. Gave her the rests she needed. Loved that there is a hospital next door. Loved that they thoroughly checked her vaccinations. This is the first daycare/boarding place I’ve been to where Millie is excited to arrive and came out super happy (oh and perfectly exhausted). Only thing I would have liked to have seen are some photos of Millie during her stay as they don’t have webcams for us to see her in real-time. Thank you for taking such great care of her. We will be back and highly recommend.

Jesse was the best! Did both Teen Manners and I would take any other class offered. I have a large breed puppy that most trainers shy away from, not Jesse he made us feel very welcomed. I have done other classes around town. This was the best and the most bang for your dollar. Thank you - Vicki

We were super happy with Chasin Tails, our dog has gone there for years for both daycare and boarding. He was always excited to go and we would always recommend them to other dog parents! However this last time that we boarded him, upon pick up we got a notice saying he is no longer allowed in free play as well as we can’t bring him during busy times because he doesn’t have “manners” with other dogs and is overly excited. I asked if there was any major incidents that occurred during his time there and was told no. I was very upset and confused by this as we have never had these issues before with taking him here multiple times as well as other facilities. I am not sure if there is new staff or if it is a way to get new paying clients into their training program but i am very disappointed and sadly will now be looking for new a facility for boarding and daycare after many years here.

We have our super reactive dog on private training with Jesse. He is very accommodating to our schedule and really understands what is best for our Gigi. Gigi always leaves class happy, and she has improved so much since we first brought her there.

And then we have Winnie join Teen Manners led by Jesse. Little hardheaded Winnie, but never once I see Jesse frustrated at our slow progress but instead he shows us different ways to train our pups effectively.

Thanks to Chasin Tails and their incredible trainer Jesse Attrill, we learned canine behaviour, positive reinforcement and how to set our dog up for success! This 9 week L. I. F. E (Learn In a Functional Environment) course for reactive dogs seriously changed our lives. Jerzey’s behaviour has significantly changed for the better, we can understand our dog and their needs in different situations and has rebuilt our confidence as dog owners.

We have tried other training in the city and Chasin Tails was by far the MOST helpful and successful, we felt very supported and empowered. It was also so awesome to see staff join the class and was reassuring to know everyone takes time to remain educated, so rest assured you’re leaving your dog in elite care when dropping them off for the day.

I HIGHLY recommend this facility and this course if you’re struggling with any dog reactivity or just need support in training. It brings us so much joy that more people get to witness our amazing doggos loving side! He truly is such a good boy!

Really wonderful and caring staff. My dog is high anxiety and they really try to accomodate her as much as they can. I really appreciate that they're realistic about her experience and give her as much attention as possible. While my dog had issues being in regular crates in other daycares, she didn't mind the crates here because they're floor to ceiling, so more like private rooms. Fantastic facility, honestly can't recommend it enough.

Never ever keeping my fur baby here.booked for 2 months boarding service paying 4k only to get a call from the staff to come and get our dog back while we were boarding our vacation flight. Worst customer service. Its sad how this place has changed. My dog used to love this place and the staff.big thumbs down

We use Chasing tail services for our dog's grooming and boarding. Great service. Went for their facility tour in 2010. Very dog friendly. Definitely suggest Chasing tails. You can also try their doggy day care for your puppy prior to boarding to see how your pet does.

Very disrespectful and unorganized staff. I would highly recommend avoiding their dog grooming services.

Not only do they change your appointments without your knowledge, they will blame you for the same and show zero patience for those with "thicker" accents.

Trust, your dog and your money deserve better!:)

Regular user - By far the best dog daycare/boarding place in Calgary. Though there prices have gone up over the past 6 months, you will struggle to find a place that gives your pup the attention that chasin tails does.

The groomers here are great. They cut my dog's hair exactly to request, and my dog gets excited when we walk through the doors. Highly recommend.

Tried to get in touch with Chasin Tails via every method of contact listed on their website for 2 days and received no response, no one answered the phone (tried several time at different times across 2 days) and did not receive an email back. How does anyone get ahold of them?

I was really excited to take my dogs to Chasin Tails for the first time. The dogs seemed quite happy and excited to be there and the staff seemed friendly. Unfortunately, they did not give one of my dogs his medicines for three days. I only sent three days worth so I knew immediately that they hadn’t. The staff was very concerned and called the manager right away. The manager was going to call me back but I never heard from them. I dread to think what could have happened if it was medicine for more severe conditions.

We bring our old, senior dog here for our grooming. She has a lot of quirks and is not a fan of car rides. Somehow, the staff calm her stubborn reluctance and she ends up having the best time at “the spa”. Grooming is top notch at very good prices.

This place is super famous for well organized daycare. Ppl who supervise the dogs are actually trained. Your dog is placed based on energy level, play style and overall character.

Great services, and pricing for raw food. Also really like that raw food is available directly from the location. Without having to order.

I took my high energy Aussie Shepard for drop in daycare. He was happily asleep before we even left the parking lot. The intake was very thorough and the staff were very knowledgeable.

Good place for training, daycare, or boarding. Dogs are treated well and given breaks in kennels or fenced off areas and lots of time outside.

Facility looks huge, my puppy Boba seems to be really happy going there and is always really tired when we pick him up.

Just a GREAT place. My timid Great Pyr has no issues going in. He seems excited to go. Lovely people

I love chasing tails for the daycare, my dog loves to go there. Staff are attentive. The grooming side I am not a fan, the grooming is OK (this time I think they missed clipping the nails on 1 paw and two other nails were not fully trimmed as nail was hanging) but 4 hrs to groom a dog is just too long in my opinion. I am just not a fan of making an appt and having to wait 4 hrs and this time was almost an hr and 20 mins and I rushed them as I showed up 4 hrs later but they had not called me. So we will continue with the daycare side but we will be searching for another grooming spot.

Recently did the teen manners course and also enrolled our pup in life school to help our sassy dog reactive boxer that we rescued almost a year ago.after to many failed attempts (and way to much $$ wasted) at other day cares/training schools we finally found one that worked. I can't say enough good things about Jesse and his dog whispering skills. Our pup did 5 sessions with him and she has improved 1000%. She actually listens now, has learned some manners and we are finally enjoying our walks (the only advice I got previously was to avoid other dogs all together however this doesn't really work in real life situations, Jesse worked with her on a leash around other dogs which has helped so much) I wasn't sure how the group training would go however he put up barriers when needed to make sure we were all comfortable, we learned so much in this course! We have also left her here for boarding and day care and the rest of the staff are lovely, Thanks again!

Convient location that was close to our hotel by the airport. Open Saturdays and has pick up until 8: 30PM. Staff is friendly. My dog loved spending the day here.

Amazing place! They took such good care of our dogs and customer service was excellent! We left our dogs for couple of weeks and picked them up after the long weekend. We will be coming for the long run =D!

Jasper (my dog) and I love Chasing Tails. They are friendly and have great advice. I know he's in good hands when I leave him for the day and he has lots of fun with his doggy friends.

I have brought my dogs here alot over the past 2 years! For grooming, daycare, raw dog food, and their newly revamped edu play training program. The staff are very friendly and willing to go out of their way for you. Its the best doggy daycare I have ever been to. The pricing along with the quality cannot be beat. I also support and volunteer at Halo Husky Haven that is a doggy rescue that operates out of the same building. I highly recommend going their for any of their services or products.:)

I have been taking my dog to Chasin Tails for years. 5 years.
The owners and staff I will say are amazing and the owners are just caring people trying to give awesome service to animals and people.
You cant say they dont care when they drive days hours to also rescue dogs their own Gas Their own money Their own time

They always give wonderful service t I have seen and take time to get to know you and your dog and they are there to help if you need them 100 percent

This is a very unfortunate and hard time for everyone and they are still open.
They have always welcomed me and Boomer and never once turned me away and he has always been treated very very well so anyone running a business right now or any time my Hat goes off to them They also deal with tons of personality's every day
one being the dog other being the human
and they also do not know what goes on in the home

They have always had time for me and everyone and my kid lol
I love those people and Highly believe in them and their staff

Our dog loved it here! She spent 6 days in open care when we were on vacation and did so well. The staff is friendly and the facility look so fun for your fur kids

Linda and her staff are incredible people who care deeply about the animals that they take care of, their customers, and their colleagues.

Took Rufus there while on business in Calgary. Nice friendly staff. Took care of him and even provided a report card when we left.

I think they are just great! I wouldn't change a single thing. I would (and do) highly recommend them to everyone.

We brought our pup in for the first time yesterday. The staff were great - they explained how the center works, how she'd be introduced to the other dogs and what happens throughout the day. There's a viewing area to be able to watch, and we were impressed with their methods. Our pup is just starting to get socialized with other dogs, and I was seriously more nervous watching than she was being put into a new environment. They were happy to answer all questions and let us know the results of the assessment they did. The only issue is that we called for an update at one point and were forgotten on hold for 10 minutes. The gentleman was extemely apologetic, however. I had called during a busy time, and it's an eff easy thing to have happened. The important thing was seeing how happy my girl was when picking her up, and how soundly she slept that night. It was obvious that she enjoyed herself.

They also carry quality treats and accessories that were impressive, and this chew treat was the ABSOLUTE bomb as a distraction for our 3 hour drive home.

We are thrilled to have found such a great place to bring her the next time we come to town! Thank you SO much!

Despite the frieny reception I got. The groomer didn't listen to me at all, which was evident in the hair cut my dog received and the instructions she left me. The Groomer didn't come out to tell me how things went despite this being my dogs first time there, no discussion or anything just dismissal. I won't be back.

Super friendly staff and very knowledgable. Dog runs very spacious and look super fun for the pups! After picking my dog up she was extremely tired (something we look forward to as she is very high energy) and loved every second of it. Excellent place, would and have recommended to several friends and family.

We took our dog to the All Breed Meetup yesterday, and was very disappointed! This was our first time at Chasin’ Tails, so we didn’t know what to expect. First, we were absolutely disgusted with the lack of cleanliness. Dogs were peeing and pooping everywhere, and all there was to clean it up was a mop and a bucket. No sanitizer or any real cleaning products! The mop was pretty much just swirling the pee around, not really cleaning anything up. The smell was also atrocious, and we immediately bathed our dog as soon as we came home. I definitely wouldn’t take a puppy here! Second, there was no cap on the number of dogs they allowed in. It was getting too crowded and rambunctious at one point, and we were worried as to what that would lead too. Lastly, there was no one really monitoring the play area and quite a few irresponsible dog owners not really paying attention. There were a couple of dogs picking fights with other dogs, including ours (completely out of the blue), and nothing was done about it. And this happened on multiple occasions. I totally understand that this can happen, but someone in charge should’ve spoke to those owners or ask them to leave, especially if we’re all paying. This isn’t a public dog park! We left after 30 minutes and will not be returning. I can’t comment on their daycare or classes, but I would not recommend their drop - in play times. It was really disappointing, as we had heard great things about this place.

We had our first expierence with chasing tails today and was extreamly disappointed with the customer service, we took our dog in to get a bath, nail trim and ears cleaned. Although the bath and nail trim was good it had taken them 5.5 hours to compleat this task when we were told at drop off it would be 3-4 hours due to their tardiness and their mismanagement of time we had to leave our dog there past the time he was done by no fault of our own due to another obligation! Because of their mistakes I was told I had to pay extra for the time because I was unable to pick him up at the time they called which would have not been an issue had they been on time in the first place. I will not be bringing my dog back to this place time management needs alot of work considering ourdog was a first appointment!

Highly recommend them for all of their services. My dog gets so excited as we turn into Chasin' Tails and she always leaves happy. Edu.play classes have also been great for her to get some structure and learn a few tricks during daycare or boarding.

Dropped my dog off (Large chocolate lab) staff were friendly. Picked my dog up only to realize theyve cut her nail too short and she was bleeding everywhere. I called twice to not have the phone answered. I followed vet advise to staunch the bleeding but the cut was so short it kept opening up leaving my furbiture stained and my dog scared from the chaos of having to try and stop the bleeding. I would decline nail service on big dogs with dark claws

We trust Chasin Tails with our dog, and they care for him like he was theirs. The facility is well maintained and clean. The trainers and groomers are very knowledgeable.

I have been bringing my pup to chasin tails pretty much weekly since she was about 4 months old. Lenny absolutely loves it there and is always excited when I ask if she would like to go to daycare. She is a very high energy dog and needs the exercise and stimulation and with my work schedule constantly fluctuating and having last minute overtime occur frequently it is pretty amazing to know that she’s enjoying her day and not couped up in the house. On top of the daycare, I have boarded her on many occasions and have always been comfortable knowing they care about her. I’ve actually given their staff my number before and gotten them to send me pictures and videos. I also really appreciate that there is a vet on site, both the doctors she has seen there have been amazing and it gives me such great piece of mind that should anything happen there is care on site for her.

To top it all off, Lenny’s vaccs needed to be updated so they booked her an appointment during the day while she was at daycare and had them updated for me. So nice to have that luxury and not have to take time off work for an appointment! Definitely recommend this place for the quality of care and customer service!

I've brought my puppy here a handful of times for daycare. My puppy comes home happy and tired, so I can only assume that he has fun. I haven't had any real issues so far. What I don't like is that the front staff is not overly friendly. They barely look at you when you drop your dog off, they don't explain anything to you, they just take your dog and bring them to the back. The first time I dropped my pup off I had to ask if anything else was needed because the girl barely spoke to me. When I pick my dog up, it's the same thing. No rundown of how the day was, no update, just a handoff of the leash. If I ask how he did, I get "he was fine, " or, "he likes to play" (don't all puppies?). I don't even know if he eats the food I bring with him. Their nonchalant attitude does make me a little uncomfortable. My pup is my fur-kid, and I would like to be reassured that he is well taken care of when he is there and not just put in a cage and ignored (which, to be fair, I assume he is not because he is always tired when he comes home). From what I read, and from my pups demeanour when I pick him up, I assume this is a nice place to take your dog, but their customer service needs a lot of work.

I don’t typically write reviews but I felt compelled too after I picked up my little guy from his session yesterday at Chasin Tails. Today is Finn’s gotcha day, and it marks one year since we officially adopted him. Shortly after adopting Finn he became very anxious, fearful, and reactive to people, dogs, wind, rain, you name it, it scared him. The journey began, I did research, contacted trainers, tried many different behavior strategies and training techniques. Working full time I knew I needed to find something a little more intensive and that could provide more training than I could throughout the day.

After searching for several months I came across the Chasin Tails ED. VANTAGE for Reactive Dogs program. Finn goes to the Chasin Tails centre for the entire day, to work on confidence building, reactivity to strangers and get the individual training he needs. This program has been a game changer for us. Lindsey and her training team got to know Finn, his triggers, his limits and have been able to work with him at his own pace. I get updates about his day, and get to celebrate his wins with people who are as excited about them as I am. Typically when I pick him up, he has to come out with Lindsay as that is who he is most comfortable with. On Tuesday Finn walked out confidently with a different trainer! I was so excited- this was definitely progress for him. I am looking forward to my first transfer session where the team will share their strategies and techniques so I can carry over their work at home!
