Chateau Canmore

Terrible phone service, have to call 4-5 times every time you want to get ahold of the front desk. Rooms were fine but the service is outrageous.

Great view, location and amenities! Rooms are very spacious and clean and we loved the pool and hot tub. Service was excellent with very kind and welcoming staff.

Staff are exceptional. They will bend over backwards to make your stay more comfortable. Also they are doing upgrades to rooms for your convenience

Nice and large room with good beds, friendly staff and a sensible attached restaurant.
As such, the location is not a fault, but you can expect noise from the main road just outside when the day starts.

We usually stay at the Chateau Canmore when visiting the Rocky Mountains. We prefer canmore over Banff and usually stay at the Chateu Canmore. The decor makes us feel as though we are staying at a cabin. The hot tub is also very helpful after a long ski day. Great restaurant connected for breakfast and we usually take the short walk into town for dinner. Keep it up!

Beautiful location with views of the mountains! Excellent service and a great price! Canmore is such a beautiful place to visit. Highly recommend staying here!

Stayed during the week of Sep 25th.

Half of the rooms, including mine, are facing train tracks which have very loud trains passing frequently. Not even closed windows help to muffle the loud sound and vibration.

One day there was no hot water so if you wanted to take shower, it was a cold one. Not any type of compensation offered, be it a small discount at the hotel or a restaurant. Only sorry! Well, sorry does not cut it on a $300/night room.

In addition, hotel is saving money on cleaning the rooms daily. You have to ask for the cleaning if you want it.

Spacious rooms and nicely located in lovely Canmore. Front desk was a little rude and you had to ask to have your room cleaned.

Mediocre - okay ish rooms! Best thing about was location and views. Smart TVs apps didn’t work.

The front desk staff that checked us in - named Deepak was unnecessarily rude. Not even a hello during check-in process. Probably will not come back but was not terrible either.

I stayed for two nights to attend a wedding. I used the hot tub, sauna, and pool several times, the facilities were very clean and well maintained. The sauna and hot tub were great, the pool is not large enough for swimming and could become crowded with more guests, but I was often the only one there.

Hotel is definitely very dated and needs updates but it’s in a good location in Canmore. It also felt safe and the beds were comfortable.

Has the feel of a ski chalet. Our bedroom was on second level of our room a loft. Great view, clean, view of the mountains and stores nearby.

Overall it was a great stay a little disappointed that they didn’t have real wine glasses only plastic cups

Great location, one block from restaurants and across the train tracks from a supermarket.
Rooms well appointed - fridge, microwave and coffee making.
Canmore is a really lovely town, with great views of the mountains. Not as busy as Banff.

I enjoyed staying here, 20 minutes from Banff and easy to access in town. I loved the rooms and very nice ventilation in the lounge and halls. I would recommend to bring a fan in the room by the sofa-bed because there is no much ventilation because the AC doesn’t cool off the entire suite (big room 2 queens +sofa bed)
The front desk staff were ok maybe a bit more enthusiastic would be perfect. Rooms were clean and spacious.
I didn’t like the pool/hot tub by the parking lot. Not privacy everyone can see you swimming, maybe add tinted glass to avoid people see tru. Other than that if you want to just rest and keep going is a perfect place!
The extra areas to rest on the hallway were good and lounge area was great as well.

Great hotel other than the rude front desk clerk. Was obnoxious and lied to my wife. I’d return to the hotel because of the rooms and views, but hope the owners tell the front desk employees to get off their phones and treat everyone with respect.

We booked this hotel specifically bc it had a pool for the kids and was pet friendly. We came to find out that the pool is closed an entire afternoon on Sunday and Tuesday for maintenance. No heads up for this, and no discounts were offered. Kids were very disappointed as swimming was the plan for a couple hrs before a late afternoon wedding. Had we known this upfront, we would not have booked this hotel. Pets were allowed but at check im we were informed not after 10pm. What's the point of pet friendly if your animals can't stay with you all night? Luckily we had family camping near by that we could leave our dog with.
The man working the front desk when I came to ask a question barely looked up from the video he was watching on his phone to reply to me.
Also if you're a light sleeper, the train goes by severel times per night directly behind the hotel.
Beds were comfy, even if rooms were older (we don't mind that). All other staff aside from above mentioned were courteous. Attached restaurant has great breakfast.
Overall would not recommend staying here if you've got pets or have kids you want to burn off energy in the pool.

Room prices are absolutely ridiculous. Very noisy all night long. Wall paper coming off the wall and water spout coming off the wall in the bath tub. I will never stay at this hotel again.

The hotel itself is fine. The elevators smell a bit like cigarettes, but that's manageable. The train coming by is LOUD and will shake your room.

I am 61 years old and have traveled extensively. It is the first time that in a hotel they do not clean the room. We had to ask for it at the reception and, even so, it was not cleaned until we asked for it again on the third day of staying. The air conditioning unit is very old and due to the noise it is impossible to sleep.
