Chateau Jasper Hotel

Really good location. Rooms pretty standard. Bring a power bar. You will need it for all your devices. The room has very few outlets. Parking is atrocious. Limited spaces on the lot and any spots on the road you're competing with the other guests from every other hotel around.

Go for the clean, comfortable rooms. Stay for the hot tub and pool. Great place for after snowboarding all day.

The hotel was good as expected from 3 stars hotel. The room was species and the bad comfortable. The washroom was quit small and the toilet was very small even for a mid size person. The cost all over Jasper are much much too high.

We could not find the gym so we asked the staff where it was. The staff guided us to an area with two treadmills. Basically there is no real gym only few treadmills located above the pool (same open room as pool) and you have to take stairs. I hope the hotel builds proper gym as everyone likes to workout these days.
I would not mind going there again!

2 stars due to rude staff at restaurant. A “ connection failure” message appeared when trying to use both of my credit cards for payment. I asked if she could try another mobile payment device. I was rudely told “ it’s not the machine you need to pay cash”. Needless to say we did not use the restaurant again while there.

Nice room with heating, AC and a cool fireplace. Only improvement would be breakfast included and dinner available in the evening. Service gave good instructions on what would be open at this time but I found something closer. Nice neck back pillows.

We were so unfortunate to have a loud party goers who disrespect their hotel neighbors. We had to tell the hotel management to move us to a quieter corner. This kind of hotel guests should be fined or kicked out!

Stayed here over the Christmas break. There was a bit of a mixup on the reservation dates and despite the high occupancy rates in town due to the holidays the staff was able to find us a room at the originally intended dates. Huge thanks for that. Made the trip. As always the hotel was clean and well taken care of with lots of parking both above and below ground. Rooms are large and comfortable and the staff is first class. Look forward to staying there again.

The entire reason I booked a stay here for our family holiday was because they had a pool and hot tub as well as parking included. Only to find out that there pool is "closed for maintenace" for our entire stay, which is a bit of blind side and really false advertising. Its a nice enough hotel as far as hotels go but not worth the cost given that all the touted amenities aren't available. Regarding the parking, I called to ask to take care of that or manage to reserve a spot so didn't have to worry about where to park or parking in the street. I will not stay here again, and just disappointed with the dismissive and careless atritude of the front desk staff. Save your money and stay at a place with these amenities and then just trwar yourself to a spa day at JPL or book a stay at a hotel without plumbing/sprinkler issues and a functioning pool.

Staff and front desk are the best. Rooms are ok.a bit dated. All the air conditioning heater units are from 29 years ago. If it's not to hot or too cold your good.

LIFE SAVER! Got kicked out from toquinn inn hotel because they cannot find my booking because there was no night audit. They took my money tho and confirmed my booking. But Chateu Jasper took me in after 12 hrs long drive, got there at midnight and gave me $30 discount because of the convenience the other hotel gave me. Nice manager and nice staff! Thankyou so much you saved my trip.

Booked this specifically because there was a deal that included free breakfast, wouldn't have chosen this place otherwise. Called after booking and they confirmed the breakfast was included in the reservation. Arrived and was told that breakfast was not included - the ol' bait and switch. Spoke to the manager who could only get us breakfast for that one day, not the rest of our stay.
Glad we got the free trial because the breakfast is pretty bad as far as free breakfasts go, and absolute robbery for $22/person. Waffles were all hard all the way through like crackers, there's no way they were made in the last 24h, pastries left out in the open all hard as a rock. The bread happened to be fresh and the bacon was surprisingly soft. You'll pay more for breakfast at other places around Jasper, but you get food that's better than literal garbage.
The only things around this hotel that have been renovated are things that show up in press photos, anything you can't see in their pictures is 40+ years old. Expect to find peeling/bubbling/chipped paint, musky worn carpet. Towels are rough like 50 grit sand paper, great for exfoliating and scrubbing out body hair. Doors feel like they weigh 300lbs because the spring is so heavy, thought my door was broken at first, no, just gotta use your entire body weight to open it.
We were charged correctly, but can corroborate other reviews saying they were overcharged. When checking in there was someone else complaining they had been charged $600 instead of $400. With the bait and switch we experienced, it's not hard to believe.
Overall I would consider this place and Lobstick an absolute last resort. Next time I'd gladly pay more to avoid these places.

The hotel is in a good location and you could say is aimed at the upper end of the market. Rooms are very decent, two lots of elevators, not a huge amount of room for outdoor parking but there is undercover parking as well. The breakfast is not free, and judging by the quality of the food on offer (upper echelon) you can see why. The only beef I had with this was the exorbitant price (over $70 for 3 people) but everything else appears rather respectable.except for all the smokers constantly outside the hotel sign, which kind of drags down the appearance of the place.

Big room with place to put two suitcases open. Enough space for other luggage. In the bathroom were enough towels for the two nights, so it was fine that there was no housekeeping provided. Was glad to park the car in the garage, that is very convenient with a lot of luggage. For breakfast they can prepare something gluten-friendly. It’s only a little expensive, but guess it was still high season.

Recommended overall. Clean and spacious room.

Didn’t really enjoy our stay at this hotel and wouldn’t recommend it. For starters the room cost $335 / night and at that price, there wasn’t any room cleaning service unless we requested it. Unfriendly front desk staff was kind of expected. Older rooms without any updates or re-model. No breakfast included. Wouldn’t stay at Chateau Jasper again!

The rooms are massive, I don't think inhave stayed in a hotel with such large rooms before.
Breakfast had a nice selection of food every morning.
Hotel has 2 restaurants close by - one across the road "Whisky Jack" which I didn't love and thought was a waste of money and one at the property next door called " Inn Grill" which was brilliant. Otherwise the property is a flat 15 min walk into town where there are many more fining options to choose from.
Highly recommend this property.

A perfectly average hotel with well above average prices. The front entrance was recently redone which makes the hotel look nice in the photos, but the rest of the hotel is older and the rooms could use a thorough cleaning (eg.dirty walls, older carpet). Breakfast is not included and is $22/person. Also the ceilings in the hallway and washrooms we're very low. Some of the things we liked were the hottub and pool, and that the rooms were very quiet.

Overall, a really decent hotel but not worth the premium price.

in our room was ripped. Place needs remodeling! Ive never stayed at a hotel where daily cleaning was not included. They said cleaning only happens after check out.
Front desk tried to say it was due to covid yet not one employee was wearing a mask. As a matter of fact the maids cleaning the next day were not wearing masks either. I think the owners figured a great cost saving technique. Would not stay here again.

Jasper is a fabulous town, the hotel is well placed a pleasant 10 minute walk into the downtown area.
As a ski lodge this would be great. As a hotel 3 stars is generous.
The rooms are fine but the facilities and service are poor.
Cardboard cups in the rooms, no shower in the men's area of the pool (the changing room is tiny).
The staff are young and cheery, but when I asked at the front desk for some milk to make tea in my room the guy was not able to provide it.i can only assume that he isn't allowed to access the kitchen‍️

Pretty nice, good size rooms (had 2x queen beds). Clean bathrooms, coffee maker and working A/C. Breakfast a little expensive. No restaurant outside of breakfast. No daily housekeeping. Pool was okay, hot tub a pleasant surprise. Gym is a lie.

Booked a room at Chateau Jasper when I couldn't find a boarding facility available for my puppy as this hotel is pet friendly! This was my first time staying at Chateau Jasper and it definitely will not be my last. Chateau Jasper may look a little older on the outside but don't let the outside fool you. The inside is beautiful, from the updated lobby and restaurant, to the renovated, modern, and spacious rooms. We arrived a bit early (my mistake as I didn't check the check in time) and the hotel concierge was very friendly and down to earth.
We got a room right beside one of the exits to freely move in and out of the hotel to take our puppy out for breaks. The room was very clean, had plenty of light with the big windows and lamps, and was very tastefully decorated. The red chairs in the room were not only visually pleasing, they were comfortable too and there was an electric fireplace to add to the ambiance. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and allowed us to wake up refreshed. The room was complete with a small kitchenette with a mini fridge, microwave, Keurig, kettle and sink completed with cabinets and a granite countertop. And a lit closet. The bathroom was also tastefully decorated and clean.
This was my first overnight stay in Jasper and Chateau Jasper made it a wonderful first experience.
I can't wait to stay here again!

This was one of the few places in the Jasper area that seemed to get good reviews about its wifi, and it didn’t disappoint. It’s a basic/standard hotel, but no complaints. Location was quiet, especially our requested room facing the courtyard. The microwave, fridge, and kitchenette sink were nice to have. Breakfast buffet at the hotel restaurant was pretty good.

Easy check-in and check-out process. We were allowed to check-in early which was nice after a 5-hour drive. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel room was clean and spacious. Love the underground parking as well as the updates and perks you get notified of via text message! Overall, would recommend and visit again.

Not bad for the price. Central location and helpful staff. The pool area needs a complete Reno and needs to be better cared for.

I usually hate hotels, weird smells, really uncomfortable beds, but this hotel was amazing! Their beds are a dream

Clean room, comfortable bed, restaurant downstairs is pretty good and decently priced. Staff was nice, the pool and hot tub are decent can't complain at all. Wasn't even an expensive stay either

The property was reasonably priced, and provides heated underground parking. The rooms were clean, and the mini kitchen had all the necessary appliances. The restrooms were recently renovated and are quite nice. The property is a bit of a walk to the restaurants, so it will be nice when they open their restaurant and lounge again. I will return.

The hotel has Great amenities, and the quality of rooms that you get for the price paid is excellent. They also send you text messages with things to do and discounts to use in certain restaurants

Give 3 star because of hygiene reason! We arrive around 11pm (8 hour drive) we got the 3rd floor room. When we got in the room I saw there is a paper cup with half cup hot chocolate, the fridge not working. Ask to reception to change room, finally we got the 1st floor. The washroom not that clean, saw hair inside tub. Too tired to complain

The swimming pool decent size. (After supper, swimming pool like over crowded), need to go there in the morning or lunch time to get quite moment like this.

Great experience at the hotel. We enjoyed the location as it was a bit off the main strip, so it was quieter but still only a 15-min walk to lots of restaurants and pubs nearby. Pool and hottub were nice and very cool to see the cold weather outside through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Our room was perfect; everything was clean, tidy, and the greenery was a nice touch. Will definitely try and get back here in the summer as it looks like a lovely property too.

We decided to spend Xmas in Jasper this year and the Chateau caught our eye with the fair price and the pool for the kids. 6 nights in and we are checking out today. I would stay here again for sure. I liked the service, the rooms were clean, the small kitchenette was a nice touch and the beds are comfy. The pool was a fun place for the kids, a little strong on the chemicals but that is better than the alternative. I wish we had access to to a toaster in the room, or a complimentary breakfast option.

Staff are easy to deal with. Rooms are clean. Our room had a very small bathroom, wouldn't normally be an issue but there was not much room for two people at once.

What an unpleasant experience, it is not worth what it costs. It's dirty, it looks like a motel. I feel ripped off

I spent 3 night there, have to fight and argue for getting daily cleaning service, they said because of COVID we can not enter in the room and clean the room, menas if I stay 3 days I have to use same pillow cover, bed sheets, no cleaning in washroom. SERIOUSLY? I am paying almost @$300 per day but cant get service. I talked with mgr.if it is due to covid why swimming pool is open. NO ANSWER.only for cleaning purpose they are scared from covid? Guys not worth it to spend multiple days here.

Always cautious about hotels I haven’t stayed before after some bad experiences but needn’t have worried, yes it’s a budget hotel so you can’t expect to much but the room was clean, staff were friendly and it takes dogs.

Rooms were very clean, hotel staff helpful and friendly with prompt service if we needed anything! Beds were comfy! Rooms are spacious! All around great stay! I would definitely come back!

There were a couple of problems with the safe & the windows. They were fixed promptly by maintenance. The room was clean, comfortable and service was excellent.

It's a convenient hotel/motel at the edge of town. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast room made us breakfast to go for our hike which was great. Their breakfast room opens at 7am and has seating next to windows over looking the distant mountains.

For the rate and the quality of the suit was standard paying $300 a night. Kinda expected more but again it's Jasper it's over priced. When they say "free breakfast" it's actually 15% off of their menu. We were on the second floor banff suit. Close to the elevator you hear everything. Stayed there for two nights and it was just okay, we had a hard time falling asleep cause of the elevator. Front desk staff are helpful especially the minority ones when asked about certain tours. I suggest looking at other options that suits your needs. A kitchenette here is described with a fridge and microwave. Not a full kitchenette.

The photos online are deceiving. The rooms were okay at best. Super low ceilings, which felt crammed and stuffy. Mainly booked because of the hot tub (the photos online) The hot tub was DISGUSTING! A ring of grime and filth all the way around the tub. I cleaned it myself with the pool towels, telling the front desk would have taken forever, and probably they would have cleaned it after the pool was closed. I just about puked when i cleaned the tub scum ring off.it was like, people's dead skin, and hair, and it was kind of green, and the hot tub was MAJORLY foamy, like there was too much of something in there.but the rest of the pool space was nice. Too expensive for what it was. Nothing "chateau" about it really. Maybe more like, Motel Jasper.

Room was fine. Staff seemed under pressure, not enough of them. Some were offhand and unhelpful. Bar had no tonic for my gin. Management seemed poor.

We stayed here as a part of a tour package and were upgraded to a suite.
Pleasant enough place and the suite and attached bath were roomy, bright and well appointed.
I would have given it 4 stars (presuming it is decent value for money) except for the people manning the reception desk.

Rooms were big, but too hot inside. They should turn the A/C on atleast an hour before guests check in. Beds were not too comfy.
Too far from the main market and restaurants

I loved having a small kitchen space with a sink to fill up my water bottle that my hotel room offered. Unfortunately the pool was closed at the time but they offered guests to use the pool at one of their sister hotels. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful. The television facility was great and I enjoyed my stay. The hotel is distinguishable from afar and is a relatively short walk to local food places and shops.

Spent one night here while touring the Canadian Rockies. Clean and decent sized rooms with modern amenities. The hotel also has a pool although I didn't use it.
The staff were polite and helpful.

Booked the hotel here, after checking in we were informed that the pool and hot tub were unavailable, which was particularly why we booked this hotel, they did inform us that we could walk to a sister hotel and use theirs.paying that kind of money I wasn’t impressed, the food at the hotel was gross went to our rooms hungry.the waitress took forever to bring our drinks and there was under 10 people at the restaurant.not a fan.

Room clean. Public areas needed a Hoover. Best thing was the use of the laundry facilities in next door hotel. Quite a walk from restaurants and town.

Room very spacious and nice. Thought that the kitchen being closed was odd, but did recieve a 15% discount at affiliate hotels in the area which was a couple blocks away at the embers restaurant and was a very good meal. Hot tub and pool facilities nice and clean. First night the pool was quite cold. Second night it was good.

Great hotel. The room was very clean and spacious. The TV in Our room was very large, larger than most hotels I've been at. The pool area /mini gym was nice and sunny. I forgot my blundstones boots in the room and they gave them back to me, very trust worthy employees. All around great experience.

Asked for an early check in as we arrived early. They unfortunately cannot do a 10am but offered a 1pm check in which worked out okay for us as we went snowboarding at Marmot Basin instead and when we went back we were accommodated right away! Very comfortable beds, pool was a perk for my little guy and the rooms we stayed in were absolutely clean! Will come back again and stay again in the summer for sure! Very friendly front desk staff as well. Fyi: their breakfast restaurant is currently closed. But there are breakfast places nearby and Jasper Inn is a few steps away for brunch buffet.

Hotel and Hotel rooms were not bad.the breakfast buffet was serving VERY under cooked bacon much to my dismay. Also be aware that there is no adult pool time. 9: 30pm we went for a relaxing hot tub and there was about 20 screaming children under the age of 7 in the pool unsupervised. It wouldn't have been that bad except they were repeatedly jumping from the pool to the hot tub and back, along with a lot of splashing.

There are not a lot of inexpensive hotels around Jasper, so this was definitely a grab. Our room was clean and cozy so we all slept like babies, and our dog too! Yes, the facility is a pet-friendly one so you can take your furry friends with you.

There is a pool and a "gym" but don't expect much because they only have a treadmill and elliptical. I hope they do pool maintenance before they open up, not after.

Only thing to mention is that parking is scarce when they are booked, so better grab your spot while it's early in the evening.

We would definitely recommend the place and will go back when we are in town.

Centrally located in the town of Jasper, 6 min walk to the centre of all.

The hotel itself looks a bit outdated but rooms were comfortable, the pool was too cold for winters and the hot tub was small and had to wait a while for people to leave so more people could enjoy the hot tub.

The hotel is reasonably priced based on all the amenities provided. Overall a decent place to send a night or two.

For $150 a night without breakfast in a room where we found dirty items from the previous guests and cleaners it was pretty disappointing! Never mind that the coffee machine was broken and when reported it, they forget to get it fixed.

Excellent hotel, got upgraded to the Presidential Suite since they were full. Nice staff. It's worth noting that their buffet is in the other hotel across the (in our case, blizzarding) parking lot.

Enjoying my stay here. Nice room with kitchenette ideal for preparing a snack / hot drink. Pool and hot tub super for winding down after a day on the mountain skiing. Excellent Wi-Fi. Limited dining facilities but there are neighbouring lodges and also restaurants in town to sample. Located a street back from the main road and railway, so no traffic noise. Welcoming and friendly staff.

I just stayed here over the weekend and wow, what a place! Everything was clean, friendly staff, the buffet was excellent but most importantly, the beds were UNBELIEVABLY comfortable. I will be coming back here for sure for my next trip to Jasper.

After my first night stay, I can say the bed was comfortable, the room clean and staff were very helpful and accommodating. The availability of a small kitchenette was nice and the in-room electric fireplace was cozy. An enjoyable stay.
