Needed something to freshen up my hair so I impulsively booked a same day appointment here, had a great experience and got this lovely cut.literally exactly what I wanted, so many fun layers that provide versatility with how I choose to style it.thank you savka (I believe?) for this!

If you want ir hair styled, cut, colored or anything do do with changing up you hair style I highly recommend for you to go see Maraquitta at chatters in kingsway. Have gone a few time to see her and love everything about her and her unique style and twist on being a hair styles.

I am regular at this salon and I love it. Sanja never disappoints. What ever I ask for I got it. Nice atmosphere and everybody is friendly.

Asked about pricing for colouring. The dude on the phone was so rude and told me to just come in for a consultation. All the other places I phoned took the time to ask me questions and give me a quote over the phone. I’m not going to come deal with these impatient people.

I went in with a short bob and wanted a asymmetrical bob baylage with black and grey. I left with a pixie cut and blue and purple hair! Once i left amd saw how hideous it was. The next day i went and complained and was told not to wash my hair for 48hrs. Apparently a credit was put on my account even though I explained I wasn't from Edmonton and would likely never be back. So now I had to box dye my hair and get another cut which is very short due to a DIVIT in the back. In a few months it'll be long enough to do what I wanted, back to the length it was before being butchered.the purple is after.the one WIth the white coat is before

My stylist refused to wash and blow dry my hair, and instead used dry shampoo on me. And when I went to pay they refused to adjust the price
Even though the $60 explicitly includes a wash and blow dry which I did not get.

Took my mom in law for a cut while at mall. They gave her an excellent cut. She was very happy.

Donna is my stylist and she does an amazing work every time. Absolutely will not go anywhere else. I’m super picky as I was a stylist for 30 years.

Came here on two different occasions. One for myself, and one for my son.

I came in for at updo before a party. Came in for a curled style that was partially pinned back. First she recommended doing something entirely different from what I was asking for (she wanted to do a simple bun) for the $97 dollars I paid I did not get anything close to what I asked for, and something I could of done myself. I hated it. But I had no choice but to role with what I had. Not to mention online it advertises that part of the updo process and price includes a hair wash and blow out, and did not receive either of those.

Second time I decided to give another shot, brought my son in for a haircut for back to school with a different stylist. Kept calling my son and myself by a different name, didn’t know who they were working with. I asked her to please be thorough and make sure his hair was cut evenly as we always seem to have issues with that, and his hair is shaped poorly and so uneven when returning home and seeing it down. Hair didn’t turn out how we wanted and he was clearly disappointed when in the chair. Again, nothing we could do at this point. And to address what online booking states comes in the pricing is a hair wash, in which he also didn’t receive.

You should really revise what your site advertises, or actually do the things listed instead of cutting corners but still charging people for it.

Went in for a walk in hair cut. Nothing too crazy. A simple women’s haircut/trim. Asked not to go above the shoulders and she cut my hair way shorter than I had asked. Not only was the cut shorter than I wanted but the cut itself was super choppy, uneven, and all over the place. You can see where the scissors cut the hair. The edges are jagged. One part of the hair wasn’t cut and was way longer than the rest of the hair. Super unimpressed. Will not be returning ever even for product.

I went to this salon to get my hair colour corrected and roots done. I had tried doing my roots myself at home and it was a disaster. They were able to get me in the same day I called which was really nice. However, the praise ends there.

I had Lee as my stylist and he did not know how to handle my fine 3C curly hair at all. He was forcefully raking a brush through my hair with very little product to detangle it. The sounds of the brush raking through my poor hair are still haunting my nightmares. I asked him to be more gentle when brushing but he continued to forcefully rip the brush through my hair.

My hair is destroyed. I have so much breakage, and had to cut off 4 inches when I got home. I am losing so much hair, and I know it is breakage because I am currently pregnant, and if you know when you're pregnant you stop shedding hair. There are so many little pieces of hair in my shower and sink. I'm honestly heartbroken. The colour service was good, but not worth what I have to do now to repair the mechanical damage caused by the aggressive brushing and handling of my hair. Praying that Olaplex can help save my hair

I got my hair done this morning by a lovely lady (I can’t remember her name) and I am so happy with the way my hair turned out! I’ve had a similar hair cut in the past where the stylist had to fix it twice and the lady here at chatters did such an amazing job! She’ll be my new stylist from now on!

I came in earlier today for the second time to undo my adventures in at-home hair colouring, and I couldn't be more pleased having chosen to come back. The stylist (Sanja) and I had had a wonderful discussion about the direction I was trying to go with my colour. Despite the stubborn box dye in my hair, she was more than able to help transform my poor decision into something beautiful. Sanja was also just a lovely person to have a conversation with, and I hope to catch her again!

Claire gave me the best experience possible at Chatters. Made me feel so special and was so meticulous with everything she did. Shes so personable and did such an amazing job on my hair. Claire made my experience so amazing and i will definitely be back for her!

My 4 year old daughter is very nervous and hesitant to get haircut. Thanks to Donna and the staff, they made her feel comfortable and fun! They are very patient and nice to her. Thank you so much! We will come back for sure.

Chatters Hair Salon was soooooo unprofessional. The hair stylist wasn't on time. My haircut was at 1: 00PM today. I came a little earlier, like 12: 50PM and the hair stylist had a color and cut before me. So I waited in Kingsways Mall. I go back into Chatters and asked the front desk if the hair stylist was ready. The front desk said she is still coloring the hair. I waited again and I went back at 1: 25PM and said is the hair stylist ready. The front desk told me she is still coloring the hair! So I get annoyed and told the front desk twice I'm cancelling my haircut! I stormed out of the Chatters Hair Salon with disgusted! I got so annoyed that I didn't get my haircut! I would not recommend this business to anyone! If I could give Chatters Hair Salon less than 1 Star I would! Negative -10 stars!

I went to this location to return a heat protectant I bought at the skyview location the cashier was extremely rude and told me they can't return anything from other locations. So I called the skyview location after I left and they told me I can return products I bought from there location to any location so I will be taking my business there instead. Really unimpressed with kingsway.

Maraquitta is my go-to! I needed a new stylist after I moved to the north end and everyone was booked right after the lockdown ended. I went to chatters in the mall on a whim and boy oh boy did I luck out! Maraquitta has a similar hair texture to my own (thiCC) so she knows exactly how to cut it. She also noticed all of my cowlicks right away, and took the time to teach me how to style my own hair. She’s adventurous and a good conversationalist! Definitely recommend.

I have gone to this Chatters on 3 separate occasions hoping they would be better.boy was I wrong! First time the manager wouldn’t accept my return because he couldn’t get the bar code to scan. I said can’t you just use my phone number to pull up the order. He informed me no and didn’t do the refund.went to a different charters and that’s exactly what they did and boom refund! Today I went in to get ears pierced and she said it was 35 per earring. I said that’s not what I paid at another chatters it was just 35 for the pair and she replied with.well that’s not what we charge. I would have gladly showed her the receipt where I paid 35 as it was only a week ago! Very rude and unprofessional! Will def be taking my business else where!

I went to see Claire last night for some highlights and cut. Firstly I'd like to say that she was so much fun to talk to, I felt like I knew her for 20 years! We laughed and had fun the entire time. She also stayed 45 minutes after closing for me to get my hair right! She achieved getting me to the ashy I requested. She took the time to look at sample photos of what I wanted and consulted me before she did anything. She was also very knowledgeable throughout the appt explaining how the processes work. Overall I had a wicked time, and am soooo happy with my hair!

Maraquitta is an absolute gem if you want something fun! She's really creative and not afraid to try new things. My rainbow color is absolutely stunning!

Very hostile when you walk in, no customer service at all. Was in there browsing and the man at the front was more concerned with hearing the latest gossip his coworker had for him. Not once did he ask if we needed any help looking/or to offer any product knowledge for any of the products. Basically all he did was just stare at us, felt very uncomfortable so we left. Which was unfortunate because we were looking for some new products for our hair. Definitely will not recommend this location to anyone, for anything because I can just imagine the type of service you get when getting your hair done.

I had receive a terrible haircut from a friend and I went in crying for how bad it was and the staff were so understanding and two hair stylist came together and fixed the mess that was before them. I appreciate them so much I love my new mom hair cut!

Ian is absolutely amazing! He has great recommendations for hair growth/ care and he listens very closely to what you want. One of the most enthusiastic and friendly people I’ve probably ever met- he really made the whole experience amazing! This salon is very clean, well maintained, and professional overall. Every staff member is very friendly and will make sure your whole appointment is fun from start to finish. I would recommend coming here and definitely book with Ian if you get the chance! My favourite hair salon by far!

Highly disappointed. I got my hair cut by a different stylist than usual and while she was very polite and pleasant she could not even follow basic instructions, my hair is MUCH shorter than I requested and I was very clear both in word and through showing a picture of my desired length. Completely unacceptable.

I have been going to Chatters In Kingsway for quite a while now. I never have a bad experience. The staff are always professional and they treat you almost like you are one of the family. You won't be disappointed!

My haircut was going to cost me $52 and my hair is short super short as it is so $50 seems a bit pricey for a short hair that just needed to touch up so I ended up going to great clips and the girl did an excellent job cost me $22

I have been very hesitant to find a new stylist in Edmonton after some recent experiences I've had. Going to anyone new outside of my stylist in kelowna honestly felt like it wasn't even an option for me anymore. I booked myself an appointment here and the woman who did my hair, Donna blew me away with how great of a job she did for me. She explained everything she was doing as she was doing it to ensure the cut and colors were what I was wanting so as to not walk away dissapointed. She constantly talked me through the process to see if that's how my stylist in kelowna did it. She made sure everything was done to perfection. I will 100% be coming back here, and I cant tell you how happy I am to finally have someone to do my hair in the town I reside in that I know will do the job I want done. Thank you for your time and your services!

Great service always real prompt. I started going to get my hair cut as it was very well done for a good price and I have never left! Also claire is the best!

I have Remy Keratin bonded hair extensions and red hair, both of those on their own is kinda tricky to deal with. I always color my own hair because I dont trust anyone to touch it. Recently I had faded and color oops'd out my natural hair to get rid of dye build up from 2 years of the same color (not a good idea I know) I was left with bright orange copper on my crown and a deep Auburn on my extensions. I was not happy. Not to mention I'm getting married soon and my hair and make up trail is in a day. Yikes!

The first place I went into wouldn't even touch my hair from fear of ruining my extensions, they claim to have been sued in the past. On a whim I called Chatters to see if they had room for me to get a color correction and explained my hair situation. I was given an appointment immediately. Charlotte, my hair dresser, was kind and understanding of my situation and totally fixed my hair. We even made plans for my next few appointments before my January wedding to get me where I need to be. Not to mention that she is super easy to talk to and has a fun personality. This chick knows her sh*t, let me tell you!

So if you need a helping hand for your damaged and frightening locks call Charlotte, I swear to god that she's the hair whisperer.

The lady I saw had no idea how to deal with dyed hair. I came in for my appointment and left without getting anything done because she freaked out over my hair having dye in it and acted like it was crazy that I wanted the almost entirely faded color dyed over. I left when she said that she didn't know if she could make my hair look good. Went to the salon upstairs and was very pleased with the result.

I booked a appointment early in the morning online to go that afternoon. When I showed up, they said I had to wait 15 minutes to go in rather than my scheduled time, but their availability still made me happy. A month prior, I had bad layers put in my hair (yikes) and I tried cutting myself to even it out yesterday (double yikes). I had Charlotte as my hair dresser and she took special care to my needs and made sure I was happy with my cut. I expressed my concerns to keep it as long as possible; to which she was able to fix the bad layers and my choppy self cut, all the while keeping it not even a sliver shorter. The service was phenomenal and I came out with much more confidence in my hair. Thank you guys!

December seems too long to wait for my next appointment! Wonderful staff so much fun to be around people with a sense of humor! My last haircut was 5 years ago and now I have divorced my scissors for Claire.

I booked an appointment for my 7yo daughter for a haircut. It took about 5 minutes for her to trim an inch off in a blunt straight line and It cost $30 plus a tip. The service was not worth the price.

I always buy my products there, and the staff are great. I bought a new product and didn't try it until I used up my old stuff, and when I tried it I did not like it. I was past my 14 day return time but they were fantastic about it. I brought it back and bought my old faithful stuff. No questions or drama about it being past 14 days. Always excellent service and friendly staff.

Very friendly reception staff. Sonya did my hair and was fantastic! The cut and conditioning treatment completely transformed my hair and I was amazed at how quick the service was. I especially loved the bouncy waves styled in my hair at the end.

I am almost in tears, as now, for the first time in a long time, I actually love my hair. Charlene listened to what I asked for, made a few suggestions, then got to work. When she saw a better alternative mid-cut, she recommended a slight change that ended up creating the hair style made for my face. Thank you so much Charlene. Customer for life!

My dresser was Leelah (I hope I spelled that name right, if not I apologise) and she was very nice and listened to my concerns about getting trims done on my hair, my horror stories, etcetera. She was quick, efficient, and trimmed my hair to a perfect natural lay that works excellent with my everyday styles. She even offered that if I wanted just a little more off, I could call and get a booking with her and she would fix it - free of charge.

For those that say it is a little pricey, I feel better paying a bit extra to have a competent stylist work on my hair who will listen to my concerns and explain to me what they're doing to my hair and fix things on the spot than someone who cuts my hair flat across my back like I'm staring in a Disney Channel Original Movie from the early 2000's.

Thank you again to Leelah, and I know for sure when my hair needs a trim again in 6 months I'll be returning to Chatters, hopefully with you as my stylist.

Absolutely horrible I went there to go get my hair dyed and cut well the cut is not bad she completely fried and ruined my hair. I asked for a balayage and and she bleached my whole head up to my roots. I asked her to leave as much natural hair undyed and she didn’t. She acted like she understood me but at the end of the day I’m left crying because I never wanted this and now I’m stuck with it. I figured I’d try and give it a couple days to see if it would grow on me but I’m just stuck in tears. My hair is Fried and looks utterly horrible. Over $200 waste

This place I've visited for my 15 year old to go for a hair cut. The staff that who cut the hair was amazing and she did a good job. The reception staff are great as they engage with the customers walking in. Truly amazing place for hair cut

I was recommended to come here by my mom. I would say this is the first hair stylist I feel has really personality and confidence in her work. She is very positive and it's always a great conversation. I can't wait to go back again!

Not impressed at all. Payed $50 for a hair cut, I asked the lady to clean up the ends and trim about 1/2 an inch off. She cut my hair extremely crooked. I asked for a straight across cut, not layers. Half of the back is straight then from their it goes diagonal leaving the other side of the back 3 or 4 inches higher than the other side. Very dissapointed considering how expensive it was. When the lady showed me my hair at the end she shook the mirror very quickly so I didn't notice what had happened until I got home. Will not be returning.

Wasn't impressed with my haircut what so ever. I asked for a trim, to keep the shape of my hair, with my hair in a "V" shape in the back and to cut my bangs. Will my hair was chopped off and barely a "V". My hair cut looks like a China doll haircut. Honestly I could of cried walking out! Never again will I ever go to Chatters. Hair dresser was an older lady stuck in the past of haircuts, straight cut with no texture.

I feel bad writing a negative review because the staff were nice BUT I've never recieved such a terrible haircut. She curled it so I only noticed when I got home. But it was so so so choppy and uneven. I went in to have it fixed again by chatters and a stylist blamed it on my hair texture (my hair was dryer when I went into fix it because of a dye remover they recommend I use, but my hair was not dry when I went in for the initial appointment).

I walked out and went to another salon who fixed it and said there was techniques used on my hair that were incorrect, such as deep vertical thinning done on my fine hair which I never asked for, a blending technique that is supposed to be used around the face and not past the ear and they went past the ear ect.

The other salon (aveda) had NO ISSUES with my hair texture and no problem with fixing it and giving me a seamless haircut. At the end of it, a bad haircut should not be blamed on hair texture, if you dont know how to deal with a texture, don't cut it!

I have been to chatters salon for a good many years, have had some really good hairdressers Now Charlotte has started cutting my hair and she is amazing i am really loving the cut.

Do not get your ears pierced at this place because they are not trained nor do they have experience to do ear piercing. Had a bad experience here and they pierced them facing inward & uneven. Your better off going to Claire's =).

Looked good curled as soon as I washed it the layers were uneven one side of my hair was longer than the other and so choppy, was not textured properly what so ever. Paid a ridiculous amount just to have to pay for an actual good hair stylist to fix it. Absolutely would not recommend
