My daughter likes her cut. And the hair dresser was nice.
Only thing I would recommend is, double check pricing before hand. I booked my 12 year old in for a 12 year old long cut But was charged for an adult long advanced. $100 including tip, seems high for what my daughter got

The staff is friendly, warm and cooperative. I strongly recommend Cece to everyone. She dyed my hair fantastically. Also did haircut exactly how I wish to get. She also educated me about foil hairlights aftercare. She suggested to me the best affordable aftercare products.

So upset with my hair after the keratin treatment my hair is left frizzy with lots of fly aways my hair also was recently bleached and highlighted and now I’m left with literally bright yellow hair. The stylist who did the treatment said he did a consultation but if he did you would have known the outcomes I wanted for my HAIR.
I wasn't told anything other then oh frizz helps frizz when I kept bringing up how damaged my hair is when I called the manager kept telling me how good it looked? Like I’m the one with the yellow dry, brittle hair. Very upsetting how even once I called and brought up my concerns about my own hair she keep shutting it down and when I reached out the the stylist again got no where no help on how to fix my breaking off ends
Or the frizz and I literally just had my hair coloured and now it’s yellow.

I love my hair after visiting Chatters 130th. I saw Ryan who fit me in for a colour even though I only booked a cut and he helped me feel confident in myself and my hair again. I had a few experiences in the past month where I was just not loving my hair and I want to thank chatters and Ryan for fitting me in before I had to go back to work and I am soooo happy with my hair. Definitely recommend him to colour and cut your hair as he is very thorough and listens to what you want and makes it happen!

Just took my 8 year old to Chatters for a hair cut. She has long hair. The stylist took to her to the chair and didn’t say a word to her the entire time. She was brushing her hair very rough, and my kid was getting upset. I told her at the beginning she has a sensitive head and brushing hurts her. The stylist was going very fast and pretty rough, and by the end, my kid was crying. She wouldn’t even talk. The stylist didn’t seem empathetic at ALL. It was obvious she doesn’t like kids. Will never go back. What a terrible experience, and not just for a kid but for anyone to be treated that way when paying for a service. Horrible customer service and treatment. Extremely disappointing.

If you care about how your hair is styled or cut, reconsider your choices if you are planning on getting it done by Jerry.

I cannot find the right words to express how terrible the haircut, service and products used in my hair were, especially with a well-known salon.

With how rushed my hair was cut and little to no effort put in styling it, it is fitting to cease from adding a good review. If I could give recommendations on how to improve the experience for future customers I would but from reading previous reviews, I believe this salon is beyond hopeless. I basically have close to similar complaints as the previous reviews and yet they keep messing up.

With how my hair turned out from giving crystal clear instructions to the stylist, it makes me wonder how much thought and effort these salons put in hiring their employees that evidently do not do their job correctly.

Im really happy with Marcus, my stylist. I've been going to Chatters for 2 years. The prices are comparable, if not less than other salons.

Chatters hair salon is wonderful they're so helpful and they help you find the right product for what you're looking for and if it turns out it doesn't work for you you can return it excellent people excellent communication

Hayley is a great stylist and colorist. I always enjoy my time in her chair and am always impressed by the results.

I went in today with long thick hair asking for layers and curtain bangs an inch or so above my collarbone, i left with flat looking hair that was uneven, the most choppy curtain bains ever.by that i mean this stylist took the word ‘curtain bangs’ literally and i have a graduation coming up and i look like a dog.two huge chunks were cut out of the front peices of my hair up cut to my ears might i mention and this stylist thought that was okay? Like please teach your employees how to properly cut hair, i’m 14 years old and i could do better and i have before.never again am i letting anyone cut my hair but myself again

Since moving to Calgary 7 months ago I have been struggling to find a stylist. After having 2 cuts that were just not working I was strongly debating making the 4 hour drive to see my previous stylist. On a whim I walked into this Chatters location on 130th and managed to get a walk-in appointment with a stylist. Oh. My. God. Anton is absolutely fantastic. He is seriously amazing. I have a rather short pixie cut that a lot of stylists seem to have trouble with. Not Anton! He completely understood what I wanted in a haircut and even helped me figure out a couple new ways to style my hair. Anton went above and beyond. I cannot sing enough praises about this gentleman. This location is a 20 minute drive from where I live and work, but getting my hair done by Anton is so so worth it. I will definitely be back to see Anton!

Great staff! Best experience I've ever had in a salon. They took very good care of me and most importantly I love my hair cut!

Went here back in February for a trim. And the hairdresser (Not sure on the girls name) made a joke that “if I’m straight she can cut my hair straight” ….
She did an okay job an cutting hair. But based on her “joke” I will not be back.

I needed a neck shave cleanup at the 11th hour on a Saturday. My barber was closed and I walked into Chatters minutes from closing. All hair stylists were busy with last minute clients. The lady at the front desk didn’t have time for me. In fact she was turning me away even tho all I needed was a 2min neck cleanup. Shilo overheard my desperate call for a quick cleanup and she jumped to the task. It may not seem like a big deal for a business to address last minute clients but for me it was my whole night. So huge shout out to Shilo and a quick note to the owner that Shilo saved a customer while your front desk was pushing them away.

After having my hair highlighted and trimmed for quite a while by a friend, it needed some shaping and assistance moving towards getting it healthier. I found this place based on reviews and saw Heidi. She did an amazing job taking my damaged hair into a super cute textured long Bob and found a gorgeous shade in between my bleached ends and darker roots. I frickin LOVE my hair. Plus she taught me how to style it quickly and easily. Definitely going back to see her going forward to keep going in a healthier direction. Also, the facility was quite nice and the vanilla chai and cranberry cookies were delish.

Some of the value hair stylists are NOT vaccinated. You need to ask and they aren't very forthcoming with that information. I don't want an unvaccinated person stand right beside me with a poorly fitting mask on.

I came here to get my bangs trimmed and the stylist who I received said she knew exactly what she was doing but clearly she didn't, when i walked into a different CHATTERS to buy shampoo a different stylist approached me and told me she'd fix my bangs because it wasn't cut properly and thank god she did.

Beyond livid with one of your ladies who answered the phone, I called in to confirm how long my upcoming hair appointment will be for this Saturday, gave her all my info and she told me nothing was booked under my name for Nov. 6th at 9am. Werid considering I have just went into my account and the appointment is still booked for that time and day. She was Beyond rude and hung up on me and therefore had to call back.also I was not made aware at time of booking I would sit there was 4 to 5 hours as I wasn't told Pam was an apprentice. Communication would be nice. The lady who answered the phone did nothing to suggest another time or another hair dresser. She was snotty and rude and since Chatters is usually my go to hair salon I'm seriously reconsidering a different salon by how I was treated here. This is the second time I've had an issue by Chatters staff. Beyond livid with how I was treated over the phone.

Went in for a trim because my normal stylist was booked up due to holiday craziness. Figured it wouldn’t be hard to mess up a simple trim. Literally the worst mistake I’ve made. Had a consult with Alyssa where I mentioned I was growing my hair out and didn’t want a lot of length off, but knew I needed some dead ends trimmed off. Asked for a trim and cleanup of my layers. She never once bothered to ask about the length before she proceeded with “trimming” off 3 inches of hair (in the back so I didn’t know how much damage she’d done until it was too late). And then she rough dried my hair (which is naturally curly and therefore frizzy), didn’t straighten it, and proceeded to cut “layers”. I say that loosely because they look as though a child took a pair of craft scissors to my head. When straightened, the layers are disconnected and awful. And to boot, there was no mirror to see the back of my head after the cut. So I had to drive home before I saw the massacre of my hair. Was offered a spot to come back in and have a senior stylist fix the layers, but I can assure you nobody at this salon will ever touch my head again. I’ve lost 8-9 months of growth thanks to the unprofessionalism of this stylist, and that’s the last time I’m ever going here. Hot tip – if a client says they’re growing their hair, you check before you cut off 2-3 inches! Hoping to speak to management for a refund, but doubtful I’ll get one based on responses to previous negative reviews.

Terrible service. Finally found a great hair dresser and for the first time ever I noticed one side of my hair is shorter then the other. Call to see if someone can fix it. The guy who answered was incredibly rude. Saying they were full back to back with appointments, other then one time that he could get me in that wouldn’t work. When asked why someone couldn’t just slip me in to fix it he got irate with me and said he didn’t know what else to offer. So I’m supposed to go until whenever they can get me in even though it was there mistake!? !? And with it being incredibly noticeable!? !? Super poor service. He was incredibly rude in his tone and words. I demanded a refund. It’s unfortunate there is such poor service after finding a great hair dresser and she will lose business because of this. All for something that would take 5 mins to fix. Disappointed. I suggest finding someone with more customer service skills for your front line.

I was really disappointed in the stylist Brenda as she didn’t listen to what I wanted. So now I have to wait 3 months or so for my hair to grow in the neckline and bangs to achieve what I wanted and requested. So Sad She was also 20 minutes late.

5 star for the hair styling & stylist (Toni) and NO star for Chatters! Tiffany (wife) scheduled an appointment to have her hair colored and styled today. After a discussion with a stylist (Toni) Tiffany opted to have her hair attended to. Tiffany spent five (5) hours in the chair and at the end of the appointment Tiffany was thoroughly satisfied with the cut, color and style. My wife already looks amazing but added with this new color/style she was gorgeous!

Her only issue that Chatters did not offer bottled water or any other liquid. Chatters could promote the fact that their COVID policy negates any complimentary offering (although other salons do) but that was not mentioned to Tiffany. Their hospitality is seriously lacking.

The appointment was at 10: 30am to 3: 30pm. No offering for snacks at lunch time. As McDonalds is a short distance away or Boosters with-in walking distance someone (manager) could have at the very least offer something or to order in. Nothing!

To have their guest sit in a chair for 5 hours and not offer drink or food (Tiffany could have paid for it) is unreasonable. Rally Chatters.

I went in close to their close time to buy shampoo and conditioner (I knew which kind I wanted before I went in). I was not greeted or asked if I needed help even though there were two people at the front.

When I asked if they had pumps for the liter bottles I was buying the cashier replied, "no". I asked if they had some for a different brand because I knew they would fit and he said, "no, I don't have any. We only have American crew which won't fit". Was not apologetic at all which was really off putting.

I am a licensed hair stylist who frequents this particular chatters when I am low on personal items and don't have time to run to the distributor. Before I didn't mind paying the extra price because I always had good service at chatters. I probably won't give them my business anymore.

I absolutely love my hair! I have been seeing Brenda for 10 years and she manages to WOW me every time I’m in. She has a great eye for color and style. Plus she’s an amazing person!

Very helpful, sent my husband to get me purple shampoo and was super easy for him. They knew just what to sell him. Great service.

I am extremely angry with the service here, I had an appointment with Adonica N for partial foils which I was told would be $103.85 and was very specific about what I wanted done and included pictures but she did the opposite of what I asked for and when I asked her to fix it, she declined and didn't care that her customer was unhappy. At the till Adonica charged me $260 which is well over $100 from the quote. I claimed that I will not be paying full price but she forced me to do so without a discount. I will include pictures of what I asked for vs what I received. With regards to customer service the director was contacted at 1 p.m. As all managers were on holiday and 6 hours later still have not heard anything.

The customer service is absolutely atrocious and the "management" is a literal joke. I've booked at this Chatters about 5 times, and every time I've received a call the night before either changing my appointment or cancelling it. And I'd be super understanding about these changes if the boy calling me wasn't so unprofessional and rude. Before moving to the south, I frequented the Beacon Hill Chatters and have never had a problem, I've come out a few times upset about my hair and they've always went above and beyond to fix it. I've never ever received an apology for the inconvenience from this place.

Some hair stylists are great, others need more experience. Price is good, but it's a hit and miss when it comes to a good haircut.

Had my hair cut by Roger a couple months ago and had the best haircut ever. I left it to him on what to do and was not disappointed! He is efficient and meticulous in his styling. Sent someone to see him and she was quite impressed as well. Booked in to see him again soon! Thank you!

Husband called to see of they had time for a walk in, they said yes.he explained that we ould be 20 mins or so, was told that would work perfectly, so he said ok.see you then.when we got there, all of a sudden there was an additional 30 min wait. So, no, they did not have the time or the place for what they agreed to. Really wish they had of shared that in the phone then we would not of wasted the drive. We couldn't give up that extra time as we had previous plans.
I will never bother to try this place again.

When your hair is not done properly (large
Sections of root not coloured) AND you pay a pretty penny. 15% isn’t a big enough discount to bring me back.

The short guy is very disrespectful and does not know anything about the products! Very rude. Will not be back.

Solome was so wonderful! I booked for hair styling and she was so helpful answering my questions about my young son who has curly hair. Finally a stylist who gave me helpful advice on products suitable for his hair (which I purchased) I will definitely be booking Solome again and for my son's future haircuts!

Seeing Bianca for over two years.foils, colors and cuts. I adore her. Her professionalism, knowledge and genuine friendly manner make me excited for my next appointment! My favorite stylist in my lifetime I will follow her to whichever shop she goes to. Simply put, she's the best!

Terrible! I went in for a blonde root touch up, the girl messed up and ended up dying the roots grey and the bottom blonde. It was so bad that they ended up having to redye the whole thing brown and still charged me 150$ never go to chatters!

Absolutely horrible! I never write reviews, but the customer service was completely lacking, their organization was worse. Don't come here if you have standards.

I had my hair cut by Hailey yesterday, and had an great cut. She will be my go to from now on for sure. Customer service in the salon was exceptional. The girls in the shop are always very helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this salon.

My hair dresser Ryan was so great! He really understood what I was looking for with my hair color change, and he did a great job. He was also very thoughtful in that I had a cold and he brought out a box of tissues for me! A great experience, I will definitely come back again.

Got a good haircut. Rian was quick and precise. He worked methodically and confidently and gave me an excellent graduated bob. He's not super chatty so if you want a good haircut but not a counseling session he's your guy.

Ask for Solome - she is amazing! One of the best color jobs I have had and a fantastic cut. She's very down to earth and easy to talk to - I will definitely request her again!

Terrible customer service, workers were incredibly rude. Glared at me and my boyfriend when we walked in, didn't bother to greet us at all. Just stood behind cash and stared. They also falsely advertise items to be on sale, claiming that a product was originally $70 dollars and the sale price was $50, when the products original price is actually $50 dollars. Other chatters locations are more honest with their prices, where as this location I've noticed, lied about sales to attempt to push customers to buy.

I alternate between the locations depending on my schedule and where I’m at, so have had a variety of stylists.this one talked me into deep condition treatment then fried my hair with blow dryer (on hottest heat w/o protectant) and curling iron (again w/o protectant). He suggested a trim; I said just a bit, then he said no ; decided to curl my hair to hide? Split ends? Also, he missed grey at sides and top then argued with me about it when I rebooked to have it redone. Though I’ll continue to return to Chatters, I won’t rebook with Rian again.

Terrible service. I asked for a master hair stylist instead they introduced the most inexperienced stylist ever. Claudia completely ruined my hair colour and gave me the darkest gray colour ever instead of a creamy blond that I wanted. She lied to their manager that I accepted that she couldn’t give me the colour in 1 session. But I didn’t. She damaged my hair to the point she had to cut it a lot.

If I could give them 0 or - star, I would do that. Instead of fixing my hair colour they banned me of the salon. Very nice and interesting:).

Be careful of what you are signing there as they told me they had my signature that I wouldnt get the colour first session but not true, cause claudia she didn’t even let me read the paper, she asked me a couple of questions about my style or if I go to swimming at all, and I answered those questions and then signed. I was never aware of the question that said I couldn’t get the colour in 1 session. It’s even their manager is also lying or they are totally croaks.

Don’t trust them at all. They re liars.

Just had my hair done April 29 and I had Ryan. First I wanna say I'm extremely picky when it comes to my hair and it's very hard to find a stylist make me fall in love with what they've done for me. Most times it's been mediocre but I cant thank Ryan enough for doing an amazing job from start to finish. He listens to what you want, takes his time making sure everything is just right and the shampoo/ head massage oh my gawdddd it was amazing, it was like being at the spa and would highly recommend him for a perfect relaxing escape from your everyday stress, trust me I have a 2 yr old lol I've definitely found my hairstylist thank you Ryan!

I had been to the 130th and Derfoot Meadows locations a number of times without any problems until Nov 2018. I went to 130th location and had a cut and highlights. I opted for the 17$ deep conditioning treatment as well. I normally paid around 145$ to 160$ plus the treatment. Well, this time when I went to pay they were trying to charge me 270$! I told them there must be some mistake. The salon manager came to speak to me and right from the beginning she was unprofessional and aloof. She tried to tell me all the other stylists I had previously gone to, between the 2 locations, were not charging me the correct amount! I suggested perhaps THIS was the time I was being charged incorrectly. She corrected the amount but made it clear it wasn't a mistake it was her giving me a promo based on me complaining. Terrible service from a manager. I will never go back.

I have come to this salon for my haircuts and Balyage for a while, the girl I usually went to no longer works there.
This time my hair was okay but still liked it. The disappointing factor was that I was quoted an amount ($218) after tax for my hair colour and cut. When I was paying I was charged about 25$ more. When I got my receipt I was charged a toning fee (because apparently hair service no longer includes that which is ridiculous no one told me)
and I was charged 5% SERVICE TAX. I had already tipped 35$. Wouldn’t have done so if I was shown my receipt before hand and given an additional tax without telling me will not be going back because I was given a “service tax” without being told
