The only place I get my hair cut! Taylor is amazing, like I swear she does actual magic. Always chatty, knows what I want done and does eveything possible to makre sure my hair is looking the best. For the location, there's free parking and the actual salon is separate (upstairs) from the storefront.

I’m not one to give bad reviews…ever. But this will have to be a first. I waited some time to put this review since I was so upset the day my child went in for a hair service (perm). I specifically asked for no trim/no haircut. The hairstylist agreed. A couple of hours later and I come back after my child’s appointment finished and he tells me that she cut maybe a millimetre off (without telling him) and as she did it, she made up some story about why she “had to trim it. ” This was $40 extra later and ZERO consent. The hairstylist insisted that it was again “necessary. ” I reminded her that she agreed not to cut his hair at all and she proceeded to tell me that each time a perm is done and no matter how short we cut/trim we charge for a full hair cut. What a money grab. So she didn’t have my consent/my child’s, she agreed upon not cutting in the first place…what if I didn’t have the extra $40? It’s interesting that someone could do this. We will NEVER come back! We were treated so poorly and you took advantage of my child. You should be ashamed of yourself.

We are from BC and stopped in with my 16 year old for an appt with Taylor. Absolutely loved her and my daughter is adamant we fly back to Spruce Grove every time she needs her hair done- hah! Too bad she didn't fit in our suitcase! ;-) Highly recommend!

Shout out to Jacquie. Peek-a-boo colouring done. Her personality and talent as a stylist is worth our drive from Leduc.

Chantel was so amazing! Fit me in for a full color correction and tone in the same day that I walked in asking for hair products. I usually do my own hair at home but will absolutely be using their services again. Sitting here writing the review still in her chair and happy as a plum! Thank you!

Julia did my hair and it turned out incredible! I went in not knowing what I wanted done and she gave me the best results I could’ve asked for. Definitely going back!

Chantelle is the bees knees! She is my regular hair stylist and most recently she's doing mine and my girls updos for my wedding! She's always listens to what I want and consistently delivers. I only ever go to one hair stylist, I never hop around so it's rare I can trust someone. She is always extremely personable and goes the extra mile for me as a client!

Got in the morning that I called. Chantal cut my hair. She did a fantastic job for short hair. Highly recommend her. She's very good.

Angela is an amazing hair stylist. Spruce Grove location is a fairly big store with a hugh selection of products and great staff

The first thing that I didn't like was hearing other hair dressers talk rudely about their clients behind their backs. The second was when my hairdresser couldn't achieve the colour I wanted halfway through coloring my hair (even though every other hairdresser I go to can do it). Not only did she realize halfway through but instead of telling me she cant do it, she sent her manager to me who aggressively demanded I get a different colour. I'm pretty easy going if somebody can't do something that's fine but hair dressers should know their skills before starting hair and managers shouldn't try to bully clients based on their hairdressers inexperience. Will never return.

Store was very clean and staff was friendly. I got a haircut from ivanna, and she was very friendly and professional she did exactly what I asked and even thinned out my hair for me which I didn’t know I needed but I’m glad she did it because my hair looks and feels great now.

Great place to get Haircuts! Had a haircut with Emily a couple of times and she does amazing work! She understands what you want and goes the extra mile to get that style!

I went and seen Jeffrey. All in all it was pretty good. My hair turned out good (solid black) however for the price I paid I definitely didn’t think it was worth quite that much. Not a spa experience by any stretch but also not a hair catastrophe.

I had scheduled an appointment on Saturday the 25th, long story short my stylist did not show up for my appointment. I was very disappointed. Decided to give them another shot - they then apologized and booked me in on Monday the 27th. They kindly offered me a discount on my hair to compensate for the mishap on Saturday. Angela did an amazing job, very sweet girl. I'm quite happy with the way they handled the situation - making sure that my second appointment was professional and well done:)

Fantastic friendly staff, efficient and organized and the atmosphere is very positive with lots of laughter and conversation while still focused on the job with an excellent end result! I have always left with a smile and a hair cut above expectation!

I typically go to the Chatters salon on 137th Ave. I came into Spruce Grove to have my hair curled before a wedding on the way out of town today. I always make sure to come in with clean, mostly dry hair, so the stylist only has to curl it. On 137th Ave Chatters, I pay my stylist between $15 and $17 (in which I’ve been to 2 different girls), and they usually spend between 25 and 30 minutes with me. Here today, the stylist spent 10 minutes curling my hair, and inappropriately complaining about her hairspray bottle. When I went to settle my bill, the staff told me it was $36. Over double what I usually pay. I politely clarified what the cost was for, and she told me, “a shampoo and style. ” I corrected her, saying I came in with clean hair, and didn’t have it shampooed here. When the stylist was asked to join us to confirm, she stood by the $36 charge. I understand that some people may not tip stylists, I myself always make an effort to, but I’m so turned off that she just charged me a 100% tip. I cannot tell you how upset I am, and I will highly recommend that no one visit this salon.

First time there being a hairstylist myself for 50 years, Emily has great talent she did a wonderful job of my hair and knew what she as doing! Great work

I was not happy with my haircut experience. My chair was spun away from the mirror and never saw my hair being cut the entire duration of my haircut. After about 8 minutes my hairstylist said I was done. I wasn't shown how my hair looked and then got home to discover that my hair was very uneven. I went back the next day to get them to fix it and was told at reception that I needed to make an appointment. I didn't have time to reschedule and was forced to go somewhere else. This was the first and last time that I went to Chatters. I had to go somewhere else to get it fixed, the barber that I went to asked if I tried to cut my own hair. I'm out $30 plus dollars at Chatters plus $25 at the second place I had to go to get it fixed. Not a happy customer.

Received a quote for the price of my extensions, was then ripped off in the end and payed way more money that I expected. Not happy about my experience here at chatters and the only time I'm going back is to talk to the manager and get my money back because this is absolute nonsense. Also the extensions I have, i got home and gently brushed my hair and one of them in the back moved down my hair. Not happy about my experience. I honestly wish I could give 0 stars.

Had my hair done here a decision I regretted! I am one of those woman who just have dark natural hair, so I new what I was in for when I went to put blonde highlights in my hair.a long sit in! My blonde looked like it was a bad box die when It was done, wasn't taken down to the roots and definitely wasn't strong enough to take out my natural color, also I had mentioned the style of cut I wanted witch I didn't get! I asked for bangs.didn't get those, i really felt the hair dresser didn't listen to anything I had wanted or just didn't care. I was socked, I didn't know what to say! Well if that wasn't bad enough $260 was my bill! By the next day I couldn't handle it and had to spend another 190 at a different salon! To have it fixed! Very disappointed!

Terrible. Was also their today and left with a color I never even asked for! I asked for black blonde ombre or purple if bleaching color didn't work out for me I walked out 6hrs later with dark brown hair and out 200$. I shouldn't have had to pay that I didn't even know this was getting put in and being felt like a test puppet cause no one had no idea what to do or where to start. For one why not be straight up that you don't know what to do and two don't just go do you and feel free to dye and do whatever to a customers hair if they told you their options. Will not be coming back for another mess up.

I took my daughter in to get her haircut today. My mistake. I ended up leaving mid service to take her home and finish the cut myself. I am a stylist and just didn't want to work on my day off. The stylist was sweet but clearly had no idea what she was doing. I recommend retraining. A graduated Bob is the hardest cut I ever learned and I would have appreciated an honest approach. If she wasn't confident in what I had asked her to do, than that should have been clear from the beginning. And if confidence wasn't a problem, it should have been. I shouldn't have had to pay for it but I did.

As far as the cut and color go the hairdresser did a decent job however I was disappointed at the high price. 185.00 for medium foils and a haircut is a bit steep for Spruce Grove and you never know what you are paying until it is done. Probably will not be returning.

I called on a Saturday afternoon hoping for a Sunday appointment to fix a home haircut gone wrong. They were able to get me in and I was helped by a great stylist named Taylor. She gave me a gorgeous haircut that I absolutely love and was very friendly and nice. I will be back for sure!

Chatters in spruce grove go to Emily. She was amazing with balayage today! Loved how pleasant she was.she did my son’s blonde foils amazing in the past then did my hair a beautiful black and light brown balayage today. She was worth every penny. She took the time and consideration of my hair to know what it needed and how to not fry my hair. My hair was jet black and she didn’t go extremely crazy. I will go to her every time from now on. Good job girl! I had so many compliments today, including my husband who doesn’t like chemically treated hair lol. Go see Emily! She coached me through the whole process and she was so good I gave her a hug at end. She showed me twice what my hair looked like from all aspects. She is a true great hair artist. Great experience thank you Emily!

I just want to say that if the hairdresser is having a bad day because she doesn’t want to be there please don’t take it out on your paying customer.

I've been in twice for a cut with Maddison and she's always so great at her job. She's very attentive, precise and kind. I'll be sticking with her!
