The last few years I have had the absolute pleasure to have Elayna be my Hairstylist! She has mastered my lived in blonde but also has not hesitated when I want a change or a fun pastel colour. She is VERY informative on how to maintain my colour and to keep my hair healthy through the changes that we make. Coming from someone who loves to have fun with their hair I would recommend her to anyone who is also as free spirited.

Reign was absolutely amazing, he brought my curls back to life, very efficient with time, and service quality. I am in love with my fresh style!

Dec 10th, My girlfriend came home crying/ fuming because her stylist really didn’t listen to her. At all. I had to convince her it looked good, at the time it looked okay, but after a week it looked terrible, it’s like her scalp roots were the same colour as the faded colour but the roots were dark and patchy going around her head, imagine; light red for an inch off the scalp, a dark5 inch band after that, and then red fading into blonde.not good.he disregarded a lot of things she said when she’d stop him because what he would be about to do was not something she asked for at all. The total opposite actually.she was stressing the whole time. She had reference photos of exactly what she wanted, her hair was already the lightest of blondes as she had it for 6-7 years. All she needed was her roots bleached and blended as she wanted an inch or two of natural root blended into the red colouring for easier upkeep (she had about 5 inches of over growth), which honestly shouldn’t have been a problem as her roots are a dirty strawberry blonde (that’s the colour she was also wanting to get a strawberry blonde balayage of). He highlighted in between the roots with bleach and then once the roots were almost done developing he added more bleach all the way to the ends of her hair (her hair is damaged at the ends not to mention very light blonde, what kind of stylists bleaches blonde ends that are clearly not suitable to be bleached?). When confronted once she noticed as he was rinsing he told her he didn’t bleach the roots, tried to lie to her! The roots were patchy not blended at all, and now that the red has faded the root banding looks ratchet (her words). Tried to dye her whole head red even though the reference photo clearly had a lot of blonde on the bottoms, when she stopped him and asked what he was doing, he asked her what he was supposed to do because he already mixed the colours, like she was a burden for wanting something done that she’s paying for. Fix it!? So she’s not crying in your chair threatening to walk out because she’s not getting what she wanted. She paid the $330 it costed anyways because she’s not the person to cause a scene but she was distraught when she got home from ever going to a hair dresser again. Do better! There was more incidents during this session but she wrote a review on trust pilot so, if anyone wants to see it all that’s where you go. Avoid Sherwin if you’re wanting something that needs some explaining because he won’t get it unfortunately. Added photos of what she wanted for reference vs what she got.

Elayna Coleman is by far THE BEST hairstylist I have ever known. I have been going to her for all my hair needs for almost a decade. She is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. I will go in and tell her how I am feeling about my hair and I have 100% trust in her to do whatever she thinks will look good. Elayna does an amazing job at explaining her recommendations, whether it is about why she thinks your hair might need a little extra trim or why one colour might look better than another. If you are on the hunt for a new stylist ELAYNA IS YOUR GIRL!

Elayna is amazing! I visited Chatters South Common over a year ago with a bad home bleach job, but Elayna saved the day and transformed me into a beautiful ash blonde. Not only is she incredibly kind, but she also makes her clients feel at ease. Elayna is very knowledgeable about her work and is always happy to explain any part of the process. Finding a stylist who truly listens and understands your needs is a rare find, which is why I consider myself fortunate to have discovered Elayna.

Worst experience…. Feeling terrible…we’ve wedding next week my wife got hair coloured but they just messed up the colour.won’t advice anyone to go there especially if you don’t have any prior experience …

I booked in today for a hair trim, layers and curtain bangs. I showed the stylist a picture of what I wanted. I went in with hair almost to my waist. She had me take my glasses off for the wash and cut, and I understand that because the arms get in the way. But I couldn't see what she was doing and by the time I put my glasses back on, it was far too late.
She took off about 8-9" more than I asked for. My hair is now shoulder length and I now have to either get expensive extension work done for my fall wedding, or postpone it until my hair grows back. I'm so upset: (

Went in to get a haircut and I love it. Ashley was awesome, she talked through the process and gave me tips on keeping my hair healthy and soft. Highly recommend her!

I got my haircut for the first time professionally since before the pandemic, and Jemina did not disappoint!
If you have curly hair, she is your girl! I LOVE my new hair!

Brought my daughter in for a haircut on her curly hair. Completely uneven, I honestly could have done a better job myself. Very disappointed

I came in with a grown out bleach blonde hair when I asked for a brunette coffee/chocolate mix so that my natural hair could grow out nicely. Not only did my hairdresser help me make a different decision on the colour style (thank God, this is so much better) but she also perfectly shade matched my natural colour so it still looks amazing after a month. Jocelyn is great!

This place is just nasty. I've gone back 4×. I was a blonde but now dark brown. Nobody can fix it. So refunding my money. I've never been so disappointed with Chatters at South Common. Edmonton.

Neila was my amazing hairdresser! I was very nervous getting my hair cut and styled for the first time in 2 years but she was kind, patient and listened to every concern I had to create a style that I love and felt very comfortable with. She made the experience very welcoming and proceeded to give me exactly what I wanted.

Geeta did both my daughters' hair cuts today, and did a PHENOMENAL job. My girls have challenging hair, but she made excellent suggestions for style, and they left the salon feeling like a million bucks. She made the whole experience wonderful. We will definitely be back!

I never let anyone touch/cut my hair and this is my first time going to a Hair Salon, and I loved my haircut definitely coming back.

I went here to find a new shampoo and I’ve never felt more respected as a customer than I did today - the ladies here were welcoming and knowledgeable. I’ve had problems with my pureology shampoo (I believe an allergy) and was searching for something that would be really light and soothing for my scalp. The girl made no judgements and was empathetic towards my hair struggles! I really appreciated her help!

The staff is very friendly and helpful. I'm new to the city and Curtis went above and beyond by telling me places around town to check out. Thanks for the advice!

My stylist was very nice and he did an amazing job with my hair! I have a lot of cowlicks and stubborn hair.whatever he did made them more adaptive to control with the rest of my hair.

Hands down, Apsara is the best stylist I have ever been to. She is quite booked so not easy to get in but she has a knack to blend colors. I did balayage and I love the highlights. She is quite efficient and pays full attention to her work. Quite good with layer cuts too. Anyway, no complaints whatsoever and can wait for her schedule to open up. Keep up the good work girl!:)

Ebster has magic hands. And he’s cute too. I give him a 10 out of 5… he listens and cares about his guest and I highly recommend him. Did I mention he is cute? !

I wished I could have given this place zero star base on my experience today. My hairdresser did an awesome job I had no problem with her, it was another staff member who kept turning the heat down. Mind you it is -39 degrees outside and by being on the main floor every time a customer came in the cold air came in, I was literally freezing. I voiced my concerns and the heat was turned back up, as soon as it started to get warm that specific staff came and adjusted it to her liking. I did not pay my money to be freezing if I wanted that experience I would have gone and sat outside for free.

They would not do a haircut for kids 1 hour before closing, they rather surf the internet on their personal phone. Pathetic staff

My first visit here and now my go to pkace to shop and the cashier who helped me was so nice and friendly.

Geeta has been my stylist over the past 6+ months and as a stylist, I’ve liked my haircuts and colours w/ her and she is talented. Up until my appt this morning, I’ve had no issues w/ her nor have I had any surprises at the till which sometimes can happen. I had been seeing another stylist for the past few years but due to COVID restrictions, had lost my job and when Geeta heard that I struggled to afford my current stylist, she offered her haircuts at a discount as long as I continued to book w/ her.

No products or other hair services were discounted. Just her haircuts and that was enough so I continued to faithfully book w/ her every 6 weeks for a cut and of course toners and colour appts too over this past year. This morning I was told walking into my appt that Geeta no longer was offering me a discount and that I’d be charged full price for my haircut this morning.

To make matters worse, she even confirmed my appt herself yesterday afternoon over the phone and didn’t tell me of this change. I was completely blindsighted. She had no reasoning either other than she didn’t feel like giving it to me today. People are always welcome to change their mind but notice would have been nice. Honouring the price for the appt and telling me for the next appt, that I would have a price increase would have been thoughtful and professional.

Since Geeta represents Chatters, specifically the South Common location, be careful booking there. Pricing is not always what’s listed or what’s agreed on and can change instantly w/ the extra money expected to solely come out of your pocket. Oh and don’t forget the poor attitudes and judgemental looks from the staff when you complain that the price wasn’t what was agreed on.

Brennan! Great haircut every single time I keep my style short and always get compliments on it. Consistent, amazing and friendly service.

Made an appointment. Realized it might conflict with another appointment. Called and girl immediately cancelled my appointment. I wanted to reschedule buy she never gave me a chance just hung up. I didn't even get a chance to ask if it would run into my other appointment.

My kids were told to get out after they are done with their hair cut as other customers "might get angry". We are customers too. Kids are kids, if you don't like kids helicoptering and checking on their mama just cause it took me forever to get my hair cut done then kids shouldn't be allowed to book an appointment there. Not child friendly salon.

I'm very upset with this salon, the usual stylist that I see wasn't there. So I was given a woman named Celine. Telling her exactly what I wanted, thinking she understood. But she did not, she didn't do what I wanted. I'm very disappointed with this experience. Then to top it off, my usual time i spend here is 2 hours but I was there for 4 HOURS! Then with not telling me what she was doing until she started adding up my total bill at the end and she did things that I didn't even ask for. With that I paid way more money then I usually pay for, when I wanted to speak to a manager. The key holder told me that she wasn't there, to call tomorrow. Why is this person aloud to open the salon and be in charge but cant deal with a unhappy customer. Very disappointed.

Place is neat. For Filipinos who are familiar with famous hair salon back home, I highly recommend Dennis! He know exactly what kind of layers i wanted and I am satisfied! Will definitely come back to this location!

You can always find very good things there but I was a bit concerned about the amount of people that were walking around in the store

My stylist Lesley Power is AMAZING! She can do anything. Her skills & knowledge about hair are superior. If you want a fantastic colour and cut she is your girl. She knows her stuff and is always full of suggestions & great ideas while giving you the best experience and making you looking fabulous! I highly recommend her. You wont be disappointed.

Best hair colour I've had since 2015! I have been looking for a hair colourist that understands what I want and gives me lots of information when going through the process of colouring my hair. I have had many issues with getting the wrong colour or bad recommendations but today I was in great hands and it's all thanks to Geeta! Super friendly and really took the time to get my colour right. I'm coming back in February for sure.

I have booked with Lynn several times and had great haircuts. Twice now I have chosen to cancel because I was not feeling well and wanting to respect everyone’s health I chose to cancel rather than risk someone getting sick. I attempted to cancel on their booking website and could not make it work so instead I replied to the text reminder hours in advance of my appointment and even the day before.

Today, I get a call saying that I can no longer book in advance because I have had to cancel. They even incorrectly accused me of “no-showing”. When I attempted to explain my thinking I was rudely cut off and told I was incorrect. I could understand this if I hadn’t cancelled in and advance or hadn’t called to let them know it was due to health risks but did not appreciate nor deserve this attitude.

I will always choose to put my health and the health of everyone I may come in contact with first.

I’ll be finding a new salon that values my health and those in their salon before they worry about money. If your own system worked it would be different.

I saw Dennis at the South Common location. I got a great haircut, and their prices are very reasonable. They followed Covid-19 protocols excellently. But the best part of that visit was the outta this world scalp massage! I've had many scalp massages over the years and that one was THEE BEST I've ever had. Go see Dennis for a great haircut, good conversation, and the best scalp massage you will ever receive!

I just had my first haircut at Chatters South Edmonton Common. Dennis cut my hair and he is absolutely fantastic! He was on time, he was fast, he listened to what I wanted and made it happen. Im super happy with the cut and style and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dennis. I will be back to see him again.

I would like to thank Miss Haley on her assistant. She was a wonderful customer service representative very helpful knowledgeable on the products. What really impressed me was that she made me feel very comfortable as after I had to tell her that I appreciated how lovey she had treated me. I had been to the chatters in windermere and felt awful I felt like I was taking there time. I am not the most glamorous lady but in my mind I feel that I should still be treated special. I work with the public in a hospital and try my darkest to treat all my patients equally not making any judgment on there appearance for they are all important. So thank you so much Miss Haley for making me feel special.

I really love how my haircut style done today by aldherck Ygrubay- Sr stylist.he easily understand me what style should i wanted for my haircut and he gave some suggestions of what to used how to maintain my hair healthy. I will definitely recommend him to my family and friends and coming back here again at chatters south common.

Sadly I'm not very happy. I was pretty upset about the color and end result.after exspressing my dislike I atleast got the color toned better, this time, but still not happy. I can just live with it because it's not bright orange. I can say my hair is not really damaged it's still fairly healthy so that's a bonus! I know 177 dollars "apparantly" isn't a lot for balayage (thats also half price it was their special) but it is to someone who saves up and dosnt have a lot. Wich dosen't matter anyway because it doesn't look like bayalage it looks like streaks. I was told that this is what balayage is but it's not what I thought it was or wanted and didn't look like the pictures I brought. I'm giving 2 stars because my stylist tried hard to make me happy but something was amiss in communication. I was really surprised I actually ended up paying full price for something I wasn't happy. To me balayage is lightest at bottom wich is what I wanted. But stylist tells me that's ombre.

My hairstylist Jen was super cool. It was my first time at Chatters and I went for a pretty extreme change but she nailed it! She was kind and helpful throughout the whole process, and easy to talk to which made me comfortable. I will definitely be back to support this girls passion/career of being a hairstylist!:) 10/10

Chatters is ok, good selection of products but when it comes to the stylists they are definitely not all they same. I've tried a few over the years and no matter how many pictures I've shown I've just never been able to get anything close. I used to think oh maybe if I grow out my hair maybe that would help, but nope. A few months ago was my last visit and I think my final one, as I could have sworn I requested a similar cut to the one before and gave the length of hair in inches like we had discussed before. Left with a shaved head.something I've never done in my life.the stress oh it over the past months have been less than good let's just say. As a warning to anyone who's unsure, of trying them.have pictures because they dont understand words too well.

I went to this place twice and both times had a great experience. The last time, I got Charles as my hairdresser and he really did a great job. I got a quite dramatic change, going from super long hair (middle of my back) to nearly pixy cut short. I'm so glad I trusted Charles with this, because he is very talented and listened to what I asked.

I've never gotten my hair done here. I do buy Joico hair color. The prices are reasonable and there is an excellent selection of color choices.

My hairstylist Candice was very friendly and easy to talk to. She did a great job washing, cutting and styling my hair. I was looking for a product to help with a specific problem and she was able to recommend a really great product that so far has helped! I will definitely be coming back to Candice to keep up with my new hairstyle. Thanks Candice!

I loved Dennis. He listened to what I wanted and gave me suggestions on what he thought would look good on me for my face structure - it was really appreciated. I also told him that I had a stressful so he gave me an extra long scalp massage; He needs to know how much I appreciate that.

I went here a couple weeks ago for a haircut and have waited to write my review so that it wasnt super emotionally charged. I had frankie cut my hair and I showed her multiple pictures of the cut and style I wanted. I have had my hair styled every which way as well as undercuts. The entire time I was there she argued with me every step of the way. I asked for a buzzed undercut with a number 2 cover and she straight out refused and did a number 3 then blended in the back. I told her I wanted my haircut to shoulder length and its 2 inches longer. She completely refused to do anything I asked for. I asked probably 5 times for the number 2 clipper cover. I asked for shorter bangs and she didnt do it, she was also supposed to wash and style my hair included in the cut price and never did. As I was leaving she said "dont forget we did a number 2 for your undercut" and I just looked at her in shock, I literally had asked her for a number 2 so many times. I truly never recommend going here

I had an appointment today at 12 pm, the stylist took until 12: 25 to finish up with the client before me so I sat there for a about half an hour. The whole hair cutting process probably took a total of 15 mins, the rest of the time was spent blow drying and straightening my hair until 1: 43pm. The appointment is supposed to last only an hour give or take. I showed the stylist 3 pictures of what I wanted (very similar style to what I always get). I thought he understood what I wanted since it’s really not that difficult and the only major change I asked for was 3 inches off the bottom because of all the split ends. This is probably the laziest and most embarrassing haircut I’ve ever received. Never in my life has a stylist ever cut bangs/ side bangs/ hair at once with no touch ups. He slicked down the front of my hair so that when I checked in the mirror in the salon I wasn’t able to really tell how bad it looked until I got into the car and checked in the mirror. I wanted to go back inside right away but I was running late because the appointment ended at 1: 43! It should’ve ended at 1 pm, 12pm-1pm. I called back about half hour later and was able to reschedule an appointment for 5: 30pm when someone was finally able to make it decent. The pictures speak for themselves.

Got a chair with Dennis last minute. He was very nice, knowledgeable and an overall personable individual. My appoitment lasted around the hour mark which is what was stated, I received a super relaxing massage/wash, cut and style and I couldnt be happier. The front of house stagg was also very helpful and freindly. Would recommend and return again.

I went for a cut, colour and foil two Fridays ago, the lady who did my hair was very quiet, I had to wait awhile, but most of all I am noticing that the colour in my hair is already fading.

I’ve been going to this Chatters for a few years now, and have never been as disappointed in the outcome as I have this time.

Take the time and research before putting your hard earned money into this location.

Frankie was enduringly patient as I kept adjusting my haircut. In the end, it was exactly what I was hoping for! The service was quick and professional. Great experience.

Walked in to see what they had for men's hair products. In the store for about 10 minutes, no staff came over if they could help me out with anything.

I got my hair cut and coloured. I ended up going back for a fix on the cut, they almost didn't do it since it was just over one week (no wash, I just needed them to cut the back since there was a chunk that was too long). The colour initially was very dark but with every wash it has gotten lighter and lighter. And now the grey hair's I went in to have covered, hair dye seems to have washed out. I have died my hair before at different salons, and normally I would just have normal growth and short grey hairs appear. Ive talked to the manager multiple times but is unwilling to do anything about the poor colour. It was my first time and will be last time getting any service done at this salon. My bad for not going with the most experienced stylist.

This place is really expensive. They do nice cuts and colours but they really charge a lot of money. A couple times a year they have half price colours and I would highly recommend doing that. It cuts a $300 hair colour to. A much more reasonable price range.

I never get what I want when I get my hair done here.

First time years ago I tried ti get my hair darker.nope.was the sawe damn color and was so dissapointed I avoided it for years.

Thought I would give them another chance for a simple updo for my birthday.nope. I went home and completely redid it.and paid for it!
