Excellent food, nice surroundings. Offers a good variety of food cooked well with wholesome ingredients. I had the Traditional breakfast fried eggs, sausages, toast and.fruit. It was delicious and the sausage was good quality along with the other items.

Amazing breakfast with a nice cozy atmosphere. The staff is very attentive and the food was delicious.

Ordered their back bacon egg benedict. The egg benedict itself was good, but their potato could be better. Some of them are crispy outside but some are just soggy. The fruits were not for the season, therefore they don’t taste good. The ice coffee are just regular coffee on ice and syrup so I would say it’s overcharged. Would recommend order just regular coffee instead.

The server were very nice and friendly and been very helpful. The also place seem clean and tidy.

Overall it’s not a bad experience but since it’s a place for food I would give the restaurant a 4 stars since their food and menu need some more work.

Eat here almost every time we are in Canmore! Breakfast is always great, our favourite is the eggs Benedict. Service was great and quick! Will be back again for sure!

Delicious. Great service. I had the wild mushroom soup and you could taste the morels in it. Great restaurant in a new (to us) location. The 'uprise' sourdough was amazing.

Duck poutine= salt, salt, salt. Crispy potatoes are heavily salted, gravy is heavily salted, confit itself also salted. Combo was too much.

Blueberry pancakes contained about 3 blueberries within the pancakes and a sprinkling of them on top. Real maple syrup is upcharged.

Coffee, meh. Tasted burned.

Service was great, view also fantastic.

Ordered the American breakfast, the best thing on the plate was the pancake, everything else was just ok.

It’s a very busy place. We went there for breakfast and waited in the line for 10-15 minutes. The servers are nice. I ordered the American breakfast. It includes pancakes and toasts. But when it came I realized it would have been better if I just ordered a pancake dish or a toast separately. The food tastes good however. The serving wait time was long too. And I asked for more turkey sausages instead of bacon.

Honestly, I go out to a lot of breakfast places and by far this place has some of the best breakfast I have ever had in my life. Everything was perfectly cooked, service was great, and paying was smooth. Whether your a tourist or a local this is the place to go for breakfast.

This was an excellent experience we had. Ordered multiple things (egg, omelet, vegan). Everything was super awesome specially their omlet was super fluffy and well cooked. Definitely a must place to go.

We enjoyed a delicious breakfast with the perfect balance of sweet and savoury. Cinnamon sugar crepes, fresh fruit and eggs Benedict.

Took our parents here for breakfast at their recommendation (even though they had just come the day before). It was busy but we were sat fairly quickly and served fast.

There was an expansive menu so there was something for everyone and we all enjoyed our breakfast. This will likely become one of our go to spots every time we come to town.

The food here was amazing, however, the service was subpar, which is the reason most people decide to go out for dinner.

We waiting 10 minutes before we were acknowledged when we walked in. They did accommodate us on the patio as we had our dog with us which we appreciated.

After sitting down we waited another 15 minutes before someone come by to take our drink/food orders. The man was very short and rude to us. The restaurant states all day breakfast and lunch, however that’s not the case. I asked to order something off the lunch menu and the waiting plain out said “no” nothing else. I asked why quoting the sign out front that clearly states all day breakfast and lunch. He said “Not until 12. ” I ended up ordered something else but you shouldn’t be advertising something when it’s not true.

It was a week day morning when we stopped by for a late breakfast. Considering it was the first week of June, the place was not that crowded with only three other tables were occupied when we arrived. The staff, 50ish gentleman served us for our meal who was rather friendly and attentive to the customers. We had 'the Traditional' on the menu which we enjoyed in a slow paced and relaxed environment. My favorite was the potatoes. Eggs and sausage were pretty much the same where you go, but how the potatoes tasted could tell a lot about the quality of their kitchen staff. I definitely would return in the future.

Amazing customer service. Fresh fruits. Underwhelming eggs Benny. Crepes were just ok. Cretons were not salted enough. For people unfamiliar with ‘French’ cooking, this is more Quebec than French. Either way.

We came here on Canada day morning. The patio was almost full, while the restaurant was half full, but very warm inside.
We order egg Benedicts and the Surprise French toasts.
Egg bene was good. Perfectly cooked with well balanced hollandaise sauce.
Surprise French toasts come with scrambled eggs and ham in between. Personally not big fan of sweet maple syrup mixed with salty ham and scramble eggs.

This is our second time here.

We arrived and were lucky enough to be quickly seated.

Tarrance was our server and got us set up with water and took our beverage & food order.

I was feeling hungry and ordered the Meat Lovers Omelette with toast and my wife had a smoothie and the oatmeal.

We were on our second coffee when the food arrived.

We both cleaned our plates totally clean.

Thanks for an enjoyable brunch, as we are now set up until supper.

Easily one of the top 2 restraunts in town, their service is amazing, food is even better. They clearly enjoy their job and are fantastic servers and bartenders. I highly recommend this restraunt. It is just amazing soooo good

Had eggs benedict with Montreal smoked meat. I might even prefer it over the traditional bacon! It was really great and I would definitely recommend coming here. Maybe not the best eggs benedict you'll have in Canmore, but it's still really delicious and you get to eat with such a beautiful view!

This place was close to where we were staying - we went in with average expectations and left saying that we know we will back back here next time for breakfast!

Heard about this place from a gluten free group - totally lives up to the glowing reviews! They are knowledgeable and accommodating about cross-contamination issues and even have a number of actual gf items on the menu, such as waffles!
I had a hard time choosing with so many options, but eventually settled on the Mountaineer plate.

Went there two days in a row for breakfast while staying in Canmore. Had the eggs benedict / with a different crepe combo and was delicious. Super fast service, accommodating to our 7 month old and very friendly.

Liked the place but it is very busy. The food was great and it isn't too expensive as well. Not the best breakfast in Canmore, IMO, though.

Service was okay. The server was very curt. He couldn't even acknowledge that he heard our orders and I was unsure - then he just left. I understand it's busy and they need to continuously clear tables but at least give satisfactory service. After punching in our bill, he left the machine on our table and walked away. The machine didn't end up registering the tap and server wasn't around to reset. Had to figure it out myself. Didn't come over once we paid, had to cut the receipt ourselves. It isn't too big of a deal but it's also, part of their job.

A delicious brunch! Its always challenging finding a brunch spot that can accommodate our love of brunch and my wife's food allergies. Chez François hits the mark.

We ordered the vegan scramble and breakfast poutine (pictured) and we both equally enjoyed our plates. The coffee was also very tasty.

The staff were kind and attentive from start to finish and added to the fantastic experience.

I came here with my family and we had less than mediocre experience. The food was just okay, overpriced for breakfast. The service was not good. We had to ask for water, and it was never refilled. Same with coffee. We got some milk for our toddler and it came in a small cup. He eventually spilled it on himself, the table and the floor. 3 waiters saw us and we asked for some more napkins to clean it up. They never came. Nobody came to mop the floor either. I was shocked to see the price for a tiny glass of orange juice - $4.50 and a tiny cup of milk for the kid - $3! We will not be back!

This place had amazing food. We stopped for breakfast and we will definitely be going back. The service was incredible and fast!

Nice and spread out, very quiet, great place for a nice family breakfast.

Went in for eggs Benedict. The server asked how I wanted my eggs, so I said I wanted them soft. While waiting for my breakfast, I finished my drink. A different person brought our food to the table. My eggs were done hard instead of soft. I did not eat them and when the rest of the meal was done and the server returned to pick up the dishes, she asked how the food was. I told her that I was disappointed by the eggs. She was visibly angry with me and asked why I didn't tell her this when she checked on us. We replied that she didn't check on us and she argued with us saying that she had. No apologies for the mistake, just blamed me for not chasing her down. I didn't even mention that I wasn't offered a drink refill through my meal.

Friendly service. Very basic breakfast options. Good portions. Parking available. Vaccination passport required to dine in.

What a gem! First time to try Chez Francois and I would go back again and again to try other food on their menu. I had the "Traditional Breakfast"; the food was well-prepared and the presentation was beautiful. The ambience is relaxed and the servers are very professional. I highly recommend this restaurant!

One of the best places to go for breakfast if your in town! I just had the backbacon beni poutine! I had to go back the next day for seconds! Definitely recommend

Chef Francois seems like a nice little hidden gem in Canmore. The food quality is par for the area and depends on if your staff are engaged that day or not but it was today. Coffee cups are way too small for a busy staff who don’t come around a lot.

Staff was good. Food on the other hand is a different story. Ordered Nutella crepes, hardly any Nutella was served.

Very good. The spinach crepes were excellent. Had the bechamel which I prefer and find that it's rarely an option I even asked for extra which my server was happy to provide. Very nice menu and scenic Terrace available also.

Food was mediocre at best. Passable if you’re looking to simply eat something for breakfast, however if you actually want to enjoy the food you’re eating I’d highly recommend going elsewhere. I ordered an omelette which was bland. The fries were however fairly tasty and probably the only thing worth commenting on.

The food at Chez Francois is quite good. The potatoes were excellent a definite must try thing if you visit the restaurant.

The service however was completely lack luster, our waitress very sporadically visted the table and missed a couple orders completely. All in all our breakfast took an hour and fifteen minutes to arrive.

Very disappointed to much money for the food you get especially breakfast almost 20$ for the food and 3,50$ for a tiny coffee and asked for more and gote a major attitude about it maybe because we had a child with us? Had to wait for a 30 minutes with empty tables inside and out and I love eggs Benedict but not a fan of cooking eggs in vinegar

Went for breakfast and we waited about 45 minutes to get our food which isnt the end of the world but then I found 2 hairs in my food. I was very disappointed with the entire experience, and when I complained they didn’t seem to care a great deal and only refunded me for the item that had hair on it. I was there with some friends, for that type of experience I feel the whole meal should have been taken care of instead of getting $15 back for hair on my eggs.

Lived in the area for 2 years, always hunting for a decent breakfast spots, this is by far this best option between Banff and Canmore in my experience (so far).

REAL HOLLANDAISE! Perfectly poached eggs on both occassions I've been there. Fruit is fresh and vibrant. Potatos are usually deliciously crispy (although have been a bit soggy at times). Duck liver pate and croissants are a great side too. I went for the extreme and tried the Liver and Onions, and wasn't quite what I was expecting but still good. The au jus was delicious and the vegetables were al dente and well seasoned.

Looking forward to exploring more of the menu (which will be difficult considering how good the Eggs Benedict is)!

Service was not good, had to wait almost half an hour to get the bill and only ended up getting it because we flagged someone else down. My order was completely wrong as well so that was disappointing. Food was average

Can I give negative stars? I am a local and I was really excited to eat here because it has good reviews. I sat at the bar for 10 minutes, trying to catch someone's eye. Servers said hi and smiled at me, but no one took my order, so I left. It's awkward enough to dine out alone, never mind being ignored by everyone. I will never go back and I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The location, the staff, and the breakfast were all outstanding on a busy Sunday morning. I will absolutely be returning, or I guess checking out their new location since, sadly, this one will be closing down.

Wife and I had brunch here Sunday morning. We each had the combo breakfast—two crêpes and a Montreal smoked-meat eggs benedict. Absolutely delicious. Wonderful, friendly service. The best breakfast I've had in years. Highly recommended!

Great breakfast. There are so many choices from fruit salad, yoghurt granola to egg Benedict, pancakes, French toast. Food is delicious and quality. Service is very good. Price is not cheap but reasonable. Recommended.

Excellent food and great service! We came here 3 days in a row and server Jenn was super friendly and helpful to recommend additional things to do in Banff. Highly recommend! I got the raspberry pancakes-not too tart, perfect amount of raspberries. Also, the yogurt was like nothing I've ever had - so delicious!

We waited over an hour for a really disappointing and overpriced breakfast. It was the eggs benedict.the sauce was quite nice but portions were tiny and the egg rubbery. Would not recommend. Our server was nice though

Eggs Benedict is his speciality but they were bland and cold. A little lemon zest and salt would do wonders. Service was quick and friendly though.

One of the absolute best places in Canmore or Banff to have Breakfast. Nothing on their menu is bad, trust me. We went there three mornings in a row with a party of six and tried about everything! The staff is great too, ask for Jen!

The best salmon cheese omelette I’ve ever had. Really good food. We went there for breakfast two days straight.service was amazing first day, second day was a let down.

Really Poor experience. The wait for food was over 50 minutes and the restaurant was not busy. The staff was eating in front of house. Not once were we updated on our food status. When our food arrived it included a burnt toaster waffle, slimy eggs and poorly executed crepes. We had to track our waitress down to share our concerns, none of which we acknowledge. The waitress was cold and rude. I send an email to the owner in regards to our experience, believing that that our experience was not the norm or the owners hopes. I never heard back. Better food and service at a truck stop. Not worth the trip.

Before leaving Canmore for a long drive home I was looking for a breakfast experience. Well, I found it in Chez Francois!
The menu has alot to offer, small plates for those not wanting to fill up and large plates for those who like to indulge a bit.
Great service and friendly staff, reasonable prices and relaxed atmosphere.
I recommend the eggs benedict, can have them one of 6 ways.

Great breakfast spot, especially if you are staying at the Quality Inn as it shares the same parking lot and you get a 10% discount if you are a hotel guest. The staff were great at accommodating my no bread or potato request and supposed me with extra fruit instead. It was a small touch but greatly appreciated. Pay the extra charge to upgrade your sausage to the turkey maple bacon, soooooo GOOD! Also, as an advid tea drinker- I loved the giant size of mug that my tea came in!

Service was good. Good was lacking in flavor and who served soup with no crackers or bread with no butter?
