Beautiful place to go for a walk but make sure to bring bug spray and appropriate footwear as the trail quality can change quickly. If you’d like to have a fire, there is communal firewood available near the fire pits by the lake. Some trails have some inclines so keep that in mind if anyone has mobility issues.
Those were great pictures left by people before. So I took my family there for a picnic and paddle boarding. This is what we saw when we arrived. Nothing but disgusting green sludge… and thick! I’m not sticking any body part in that.
If you want to fish for stocked rainbow trout; this is your place! Although a drawback is the number of accessible shore fishing spots. Use a worm, bobber and blade set up and small hooks. Check the regulations on limits, size and tackle!
Love the trails, washrooms at the parking lots and the trails are marked well. The advanced Red trail feels endless but very senic with steep areas and super quiet. Would be fun to bring my bike next time and I assume the trails are good in the winter.
Easy to find with lots of parking. The trails are well mapped, wide and nicely maintained. There are picnic tables by the water, and outhouses that are open year round.
Nice variety of easy to moderate (a few hills) trails. Nice scenery. We also love that they provide firewood for the fire pits located close to the parking area!
Good xc skiing only if you are within an hour or two of the track setting machine, tracks are soon trampled by pedestrians and dogs and illegal horses. This in spite of metre square signs to the contrary
