We are from Chicago so we had amazing Nehari and then in Houston but their Nehari topped all! Seriously really amazing and Karachi style Nehari! And Great service too! ’ Thank you for an amazing experience!

This is by far The Best place for Pakistani Nihari and Haleem. Hands down

Chillies has authentic Haleem and Beef Nehari. If you want to enjoy the best of these two dishes, must visit Chilies. Besides these two dishes Pani puri or Gol gappay are excellent. Best in town.
It would be great if they do some uplift in the restaurant. Eating at chillies is like you are in a food court. Many restaurants offer self service but they keep the necessary things in handy where customers can pick. Here you have to ask them.nothing likr salt, paper, napkins, glass or plates are kept on the tables.

This place is a hidden gem. I ordered Haleem, Biryani and Falooda. Everything was on point! As a traveller in Calgary, looking to get the authentic Pakistani food, this restaurant was spot on!
Owner is also very nice and courteous.

Will definitely come back again for Nihari.

Best Halim ever, I have tried halim from lots of Pakistani restaurant in Calgary and this is the best home made I ever had.

Low quality oil is being used, got diarrhea after eating. If you want to get sick eat here.

Good food with okay service environment needs some attention. If you like delicious food must visit this place.

This is the only place that offers Pakistani street food. I have not been to Chilies in years.
The quality of the food is still the same great taste.
Only thing I would recommend would be to change the decor

Great food but the restaurant seating needs some upgrade. I have seen more take outs than dine in though. Haleem was very tasty.

Best Nihari and Haleem in town. Will try other stuff. Only suggestion would be to have a live Tandoor and improve service, keep trained waiters instead of your family. Rest the food was really nice.

Been coming here for several years now and hats off to these people for the consistent taste and experience they offer. The biryani and nihari are always spot on and prices have continued to remain reasonable. Whenever I have friends or family visiting that want authentic Pakistani food, I bring them here and have never been let down. Wish these guys continued success!

This rating should actually be zero stars! The people served us food that was reheated and lacked flavour as a result. There aren't many sanitary practices in place as no one was wearing a hair net and I saw somebody scratch their beard and make my burger! The tables also didn't seem clean as they were sticky. The plates were also dirty. This isn't even a restaurant as they ask you to come to the counter and do your order there and then have you carry the dish back to your table. They don't even tell you it's ready and expect you to know which dish is yours. The lack of cleanliness and reheated food are the major flaws.

Good taste. We ate beef Haleem and chicken biryani. We were hungry and we enjoyed both of the food.

The best haleem I’ve had outside of Pakistan! The owners are such kind people and the food is simply delicious. The haleem is a must try as well as the chicken tandoori wrap! Highly recommend

If you want Pakistani street food, this is THE place in Calgary. Haleem and Nihari are top notch too. You cannot go wrong with this place for a family dinner or a celebration.

BY FAR, HANDS DOWN THE BEST FOOD! We ordered their nihari and haleem, both were OUTSTANDING, one of the best nihari and haleem we ever had anywhere, and the kids had the tandoori chicken roll, and the beef seekh kabab roll, they really loved the rolls too! The service was quick, food was very fresh and hot, the owners were super friendly and caring, making sure all the guests at the restaurant we’re satisfied. We were stuffed because portions were great but we still craved more so we ordered more to go, it was THAT GOOD! Prices were very reasonable for the quantity and quality. Highly recommend this place!
The owner suggested we try their bun kababs next time because they are quite popular, we will go for those on our next visit!

Authentic Karachi food taste. Tried Biryani and Nihari. Both were very delicious and tasty. Loved it! We also tried Kheer which was also yum.

Must visit if you ever missing Karachi taste!

I visted them this week. Nihari and Haleem was exellent. I will recommend this place to every one.

Horrible. Went there just because all the other restaurants were booked for Iftar. Should’ve read the other comments that the food was reheated, even the naan was reheated. Disgusting food just like the service. Had to go and get the dishes and plates from the counter. It was all a joke.

Please ask if he is buying even halal chicken. One of my friend told me he bought chicken from wholesale club and was not halal chicken he bought. This was my favorite place to go but never again. I have trust issue now. FYI- I didn't see him but one of my friend did. If he is buying halal than I am sorry.

Ordered takeout chicken biryani, beef haleem and kulfi falooda for iftar for a small family of three

Pros: Food tasted okay, edible and had spice? Kulfi falooda was amazing.really refreshing

Cons: *Price* — paid 36$ for total.chillies is a bit pricier than expected. Food was reheated in to go container (the same as Khan Caterers/Ramadan caterers) and given to me. Since this is a well known Pakistani “restaurant” I thought they’d be making the rice/curry fresh.anyway. *Quantity* — the food fed three people total (one being a child). If you are three adults, this amount of food is not enough for you. For the price, I would expect a larger quantity amount of food. Felt like I was eating food from a catering company.

Overall, I I’ve heard much hype about this restaurant with not much to show for it. Might come back for the kulfi falooda though!

Very tasty and delicious food, just the sitting environment /area needs a deep cleaning, tables, chairs, floor and baby high chairs were dirty, very dirty. They were Sedona short on staff as only one lady was working in the restaurant.

Owner guy is very nice. Food is wholesome and fair priced. I enjoy a chicken burger from Chillies every now and again.

I never give ratings this low but really don't get the hype about this place. They are serving microwaved food from God knows when and it doesn't even taste that good. Had high hopes but disappointed.

Best beef nihari and haleem in Calgary. Everytime I go there it is always the same great taste. Owner is friendly and humble guy we call him (uncle). This time we tried there desi bun kabab it was great same as you would imagine on the streets in Karachi but unfortunately it was clean.

It's not recommended for families, but ok for bachelor's. The dine in place looks untidy and unhygienic. Taste is below average. Review is based on my couple of visits and same disappointments every time

Craving for some authentic desi food, such as nihari. Searched for high rated nihari places in Calgary. Found Chillies, interior wasn't impressive, Ordered Nihari and some other items, saw the girl doing some re-heating of Nihari, was a bit cautioned about it, taste was okay but the next morning all four of us had upset stomach. The rest of the stuff such as teas and pops were super expensive. 4.4 appears to be fake.

This is one of my favorite place but I notice the quantity of take out food is less now. I order Nihari and Haleem but only one person can be feed with that quantity.
Even for the kheer they charge $4-5 and the container is half full.

Worst Pakistani restaurant ever. Frozen Nihari was heated in the microwave and had lumps of some gooey substance. Naan was old probably a week old. Over priced for the the quality you get. Those reviews are probably owner’s friends. Please have an health insurance before you eat here.

Absolutely the worst restaurant I’ve ever been too. The interior of the restaurant is so old and dirty. Both the owner and the female preparing the food didn’t have masks on. Tables were dirty and hadn’t been wiped. No Covid pre-cautious at all. Only tried this place because friends recommended the food was good.
Me and my husband got the haleem and the nihari. Food wasn’t fresh and tasted weird. Saw the female preparing the food just heat up our plates and then call us to the counter. Didn’t even have the audacity to bring it to our table. Horrible service. Was a bit pricey for the quality of food. Pricing did not match the menu. Terrible place. Stay clear of this place unless you want to waste your money on awful food. There’s much better places to enjoy Pakistani Food.

The food was indescribable. After eating the buttery buttery chicken and beefy shawarma, I sat on the toilet for the next 7 and a half hours. I lost 15kg in one day. But sadly, I developed cancer. I recommend it though!

Love the food variety here! Their chicken strips are marinated fresh in store and great and juicy!

Great place tried the both kebab paratha roll and the shish kebab roll. Hakeem was excellent.
The Naan was a little too crispy but otherwise a great experience.

I'm writing this review from the restaurant after I devoured my food because I cant get over how AMAZING the food is. And I RARELY write reviews. As a Pakistani who has eaten biryani and nihari hundreds of times in her life, I say this with confidence. Fresh, hot, tastes like home, doesn't taste oily like other Indo-Pak places. I'm from Toronto and we have supposed to be the "best" in ethnic food but nowhere have I tasted Pakistani food so good.

Also, please please support this business, especially in the pandemic because it's a sweet older lady working all by herself. And also her husband. I guess that's my only complaint, she shouldn't be working alone. Nevertheless, the price is very very fair so please tip generously!

Went for dinner with my family. Ordered desi bun kabab and beef nihari with naan. Food tasted so close to the authentic Pakistani food back home. Interior of the restaurant is not that amazing but if you’re craving for authentic Pakistani food this place is a must to go and try. Highly recommended.

Extremely slow service, there was only one guy who was working bare hands, we only visited them for the food but the food is not good anymore and so is the boring ambience, found a hair in the rice too, just dont wanna come here again, I wish there were better places to go in Calgary

The food here is amazing. There aren't many staff so if you need something you just need to go ask and they will sort It out.

Wow probably the best chicken biryani I’ve had that comes the closest to home cooking. Not too oily and the flavours were balanced. The beef nihari was fire.

Always great going here. Food is delicious, and there is a lot of variety to choose from. Be warned though. You may have to wait a lot during visits on weekend nights.

Really good down home style food. Everything made from scratch. Delicious fried chicken, and some really good milk shakes.

Nihari, Haleem and Bun Kababs are very good. Try not to look at the kitchen behind you, feels like they are at the bare minimum for health and safety for food standards.
Hope Alberta Health can check the kitchen before someone gets really unwell.

This place is a must visit. We had the chicken biryani, band kabab and tandoori chicken and beef kabob wraps and they were delicious! The ambience isn't what you would call classy but the food and service is amazing with friendly staff and owner. I'd definitely go there again and would highly recommend anyone who's craving good quality Pakistani/Indian. PS they also have lasagna!

Food is ok but a little over priced. Not recommended to go if its busy and you are hungry. Will have to wait a long time.

It's great tasting food Haleem is absolutely fantastic.
They cook everything fresh so be patient.
Their kulfi faluda is very good as well as their zinger burger.
My favorite is beef hoti role it tastes so good that you want to eat 2 but after 1.5 you feel stuffed.
It's a bit pricey but so worth it. Try it for self and let me know what you think.

I came from Houston which is the Pakistani hub in the US. Any of y’all that have been there or lived there know what I’m talking about for food standards and food options there. I’m also a foodie and cook myself. The food here is quality and amazing to say the least and also do they non desi options which are just as good!

Nihari is the best I’ve had compared to anywhere being the flavor and the tenderness of the quality meat shanks. You can usually tell quality of a place by condiments too such as their spicy mayo and garnishes which are always fresh and tasty.

As for the wait time, well they make it fresh to order people. I mean quality food doesn’t magically appear on the plate unless its prepared or nuked in the microwave.

The owner is cool guy and I like him. He is no nonsense guy and takes care of his customers. The service model they have is great. The reason is whenever most desi’s try to do fine dining or the server model here in Calgary they usually end up having fob owners and paindu international students working who don’t speak proper English and have idea of North American service standards, therefore defeating the purpose of the server. I’m happy with model and always tip and I guess that’s why I always get taken care of.who knows

PS try the falooda!

Food is pretty expensive as compare to others. Owner is greedy and serves 2-star quality food. Also, this is the only Desi restaurant in Calgary, who charges tax on cash payments too.

Went with family today and ordered chicken korma, nan, chicken biriyani, chicken ceaser salad, fried chicken with potato fries. Chicken korma was pretty much ok but the biriyani and the fried chicken was a disaster. And on reaching home we all had gas trouble and stomach ache.

This place is amazing, clean, delicious food and nice staff. The loaded burger was actually loaded and filling. I rate this 5 stars because it is amazing.

First time I went to this location. Their food was tastefully good. Fast food to desi delight is delightful.

Yummy food but the restaurant needs a proper exhaust system. Even after standing there for 5 mins and the clothes smell like food for hours that's why I only pick up and never eat there. Owner is a very nice and courteous guy.

This place has good Pakistani food. I loved the Nihari and kheer. It is a must try place. Keep the good work guys.

Been once or twice. An average place and nothing special about it in terms of the food or location. It's not busy, super quiet most of the times. It's worth trying it at least once, you may like the food

Haleem, biryani, nihari and quorma, all of them were very tasty. Had coiple of nights dinner. Open late till 11 pm. Don't forget to try their tea:).

Great food and one of the best restaurants in Calgary. Best nihari, halim and desi bun kabab. The only downside is slow service. Better to order ahead so that food is almost ready by the time you arrive at the restaurant.
