Was shorted $80 when taking money out of the ATM. I was supposed to receive a $100 bill but a $20 bill came out instead. An "investigation" was not conducted until about 3+ weeks later after calling a second time and having the issue escalated. They claimed no overage was found, which is expected when 1) it was human error in the first place that caused me to receive a $20 instead of a $100, so they could have easily miscounted when determining "no overage" or have had other mistakes where people were given too much money in their ATM transaction (no one is going to return extra money if the ATM gives them a $100 bill when they only requested to take out a $20 bill), and 2) the investigation didn't take place until about 3+ weeks later (original complaint in was mid July, and the "investigation wasn't until early August), so wouldn't be accurate to when the issue occurred anyways.

The teller Marie was outstanding. Such a busy day and she was so sweet, kind and genuinely cared. Please hire more of her. She turned my ok day into great. What a great person.

My partner and I are genuinely grateful to Henrietta for helping us open a bank account for newcomers. Not only did she open our accounts, she took the necessary time to teach us how banking works in Canada. She gave us great advice on how to manage money here and how to prevent fraud, which is rampant across the country. First time a bank worker treats us with such care and dignity. What a marvelous soul Henrietta has! Also, this branch is spick and span compared to the filthy ones downtown.

Horrible branch and the manager needs to learn how to do her job and take care of things instead of passing the issue to a teller horrible service lacks intelligence and professionalism. Young male teller needs to lose his attitude too.

Staff were wonderful and very helpful fixing another branches problem. Security guard is a pig though staring at women is highly inappropriate.

Terrible experienceand rude teller! They asked I use the ATM for my USD withdrawals and the machine paid 20 dollar bills. I asked the teller to change it to the new 100 dollar bills and she lied she didn’t have any. I had to tell her I saw new bills when she was pulling out the old ones before she grudgingly agreed to help

Terrible service.
I use this branch for is good location. Tell staff and account managers are terrible with the can't wait to get ride of you attitude.
Can't answer any questions. Can't advise either. Tell me to go through the booklet and go figure.
Maybe banks now are less professional than a dollar store.

I am deeply humbled and have so much gratification for all the hard work that Henrietta Gyamfi at CIBC Transit #00319 on 16th Ave N. W.did for me acquiring my property in Strathmore. We both faced a challenging time and I'm glad that we took that journey together as I would not want anyone else to help me with my financing/mortgage. Not too many people would come in on there day off to make sure that my financing was going through the proper channels at a very short period of time when the financial institutions were facing a lot of additional work with regards to the increase in property sales and purchases during COVID. My thanks seems so small for what Henrietta accomplished for me. THANK YOU TO YOU AND THE 00319 BRANCH.

WORST CIBC BRANCH EVER.
Rashna Doodha is also one of the worst staff there. Very unprofessional, and rude.

Not trained and knowledgeable on their banking policy and requirements. Very rude to clients and discriminates people based on how they look. Looks down on people who they thinks does not have money.

WARNING: Do not go or invest in this branch EVER!

This bank is very discriminatory. Specially RASHNA DOODHA, do not ever book any transactions with her. She discriminates against clients who are not of a PR status/citizen. She refused service for a friend when she found out that he was only on open permit. Very disappointing and hurtful.

DO NOT GO TO THIS BANK. DISCRIMANATION IS RAMPANT.
We've had the WORST banking experience with this branch specially with their financial advisor, Rashna Doodha. Said representative was so rude, judgmental, and unprofessional.

My friend and her husband went there to create a Joint Account. But Rashna Doodha rudely declined to offer ANY kind of services to them and were told that she would ONLY help them once the husband is already a permanent resident (the wife is already a PR). Per her, she can only help the wife but not the husband due to a different visa status.
It was not a bank policy, rather, it was Rashna's choice to not give service.

She was very discriminating of the husband. The couple went to other banks (TD, RBC) and they were able to accommodate the couple's request.

Discriminates clients according to their residence status. RASHNA DOODHA (self proclaimed financial advisor) is rude and unprofessional. She judges the clients and would outright refuse any service for clients just because of their residence status. She thinks highly of herself. DO NOT DO ANY KIND OF TRANSACTIONS WITH HER

Despite opening my own account easily and without trouble at this branch, we have had nothing but problems since trying to open an account for my minor child in early July. Even after sitting down with a very nice lady in person (Henrietta) to resolve the issue, days later the account was frozen again. The hot line staff say they will email my branch to have them reach out for resolution as the trouble must be solved in person, but nothing has come of that. It is impossible to get through to anyone on the phone there. The website does not allow you to make an appointment, and says to call, but no one ever answers there, and after several messages being left I've not been able to speak with anyone to make an appointment let alone to resolve the issue. The issue seems to be that a 13 yr old child must produce government photo ID to open an account. After sitting with Henrietta, she was able to wave this requirement by taking my ID instead as my child did not have a passport or other photo ID. Then, days later, someone else froze the account for lack of ID. My child has not been able to access her money or even her mobile banking app since. I've since gone to a registry to obtain ID for her, which I would love to provide them if someone would just call me back to make an appointment! UPDATE: Went down to the bank in person. A very nice lady at the door set me up with a kind man named Olu who resolved our issue. They had closed my child's account, and kept her money - never called to say as much! Olu was able to open a new account, activate her account, card and mobile app and assures me her money will be returned soon. I am happy it is resolved, but the amount of time wasted with this place for such a simple task is really frustrating.

4 people standing at the front talking and laughing, 2 people behind the counter ignoring everything around them and countless other employees walking around ignoring the growing line of customers waiting for the single available bank teller that is having way to many problems that she couldn’t figure out alone. Really bad customer service.

Love this branch. Everyone is so helpful here. Alex always has a solution for all the problems. Rashna is so helpful. Overall everyone is very nice, knowledgeable and helpful.

The staff here are incredibly helpful. They will help you think of all the angles and avoid the pitfalls. Very responsive and friendly too. I can't remember a time when I received better service from a bank. Megan and Fairyna are total pros!

This has been my bank for over 20 years. I have always had great service. The bank is always clean and the staff very friendly and helpful.

I have called several times regarding my debit card and have received no response even though I've left voicemails. Ironic that today is Customer Appreciation Day for CIBC banks. Needless to say, I will be finding a new local bank/changing banks. I dont want to be with a bank that doesn't answer/help their customers, I'm sorry that this branch represents CIBC as I'm sure they have lost many customers due to the terrible customer service.

Just opened an account at the branch and came in a few days later to ask some questions. No one at the front desk to greet me. Saw some faces about who didn’t acknowledge my presence. Went in further and looked onto the offices. A woman, Henrietta, seemed quite annoyed that she had to stop whatever she was doing to help me. Just wanted a couple questions answered regarding online banking. She was rude and disrespectful and impatient. What a terrible representative for CIBC. She should not be working at any job that requires dealing with customers. I will not step foot into that bank again. Having only limited exposure to its staff, it was enough for me wish them all dismissed from employment so that they may take a few courses on how to conduct themselves professionally.

The customer service representatives in this location are friendly and courteous. They are knowledge of the CIBC's products and services. When I have further questions on product, the customer service representative is willing to listen and respond to my questions. I feel I am always recognited as a customer with their professional, friendly, and efficient services.

No stars, horrible service.don’t get me wrong, I’ve banked with CIBC since I got my first account. Almost 6 years.this branch will write ALOT of notes on your account. I’ve never had any notes up until a week ago. Anytime I go to the bank or call, they ask me non sense questions. I’ve canceled my account and no longer bank with CIBC.
