First, the top and bottom of the movie were cut off, there were subtitles that were unable to be read. Second, I shouldn't hear the other movies playing while my movie is playing. Nor should I be feeling the vibrations/rumbles from another movie while mine is playing. Third, the popcorn was overcooked. My first time at this location and I'm gonna stick to the North or South cinemas from now on.
SAW Sound of Freedom when it came out July 4. Seeing it again for Canadian national cinema day, August 27.
The content is the most important social issue we're facing today. Angel studios insist on everyone being able to see it so use this bar code to get your free ticket or to pay forward.
The kids run wild in the theater, and nothing gets done. You can't even enjoy a movie. I won't be going to this theater anymore as it has happened on more than one occasion. Horrible experiences.
We went to watch Oppenheimer here. The projector was tilted during the whole movie and no one checked or bothered to fix it. We still watched the whole thing but it kept bugging me throughout the whole movie that the screen is very tilted to one side and wasn't even focused well enough. It didn't cover the whole screen so the movie projection was quite smaller than the size of the screen. 1/10 experience. Would never go here again.
Holden at the food station was hilarious and fun to talk to. The lady at the front was also so nice but didn’t catch her name. Great customer service, thank you.
Love this theatre! Helpful staff were able to check that we were indeed in time to catch the beginning of our movie. We were cutting it close to make it to a matinee showing, and he was able to tell us exactly how many minutes the previews would run and that we had just enough time to pick our seats and grab our snacks) Super!
I understand the theatres would be busy on $4 Cineplex day, but I felt completely unsafe while attempting to watch my movie. There was a security guard at the entrance of the AVX theatre yet this security guard did absolutely nothing. I came into the room with people sitting in my seats, there were a bunch of teenagers walking around and making hand signs at the front of the theatre on the screen. I also felt super unsafe as there was teenagers that were attempting to fight multiple people. There was a video on instagram circulating that a mother and daughter had to fight a bunch of teenagers because the teens were being disrespecting and threatening to fight the daughter. I am unimpressed and not happy with my experience. I was barely able to pay attention to the movie let alone afraid that I’d get attacked on my way out with all the kids trying to fight people. If you’re going to hire a security guard, make sure they actually know how to do their job instead of having them stand there like a statue at the entrance.
Staff is incapable of controlling the teenager’s. Kick them out. Some people actually want to see the movie and staff does absolutely nothing about rowdy people. I’ve seen kids literally filming the whole movie and they send one guy to say “stop” and nothing more. Went to see Smile a while back and had to leave the theatre it was ridiculous. Horrible way to handle a business. I’ll go to landmark instead:)
The movie was great, but the wait time for concessions was extremely long. The crowds of movie goers were a lot to handle for the young staff. Many minors in attendance were disruptive.
Nice location. Not as busy as others. We went to see little mermaid. The concessions are quite expensive so be prepared to spend about $20/ person for a popcorn pop and candy. Make sure you have scene points card so you can start saving on future tickets. I don't like how only the top two racks of candies are available to pick from when ordering a combo. Very misleading. They really need to organize that better. Maybe put the treats that you can only choose with combos up at the front and not 4 rows where the bottom two are the rows you really want but they aren't included. Also the lady at the front asked me if I wanted to pay extra to add butter to the popcorn, but when I was passing by where you give the tickets to walk in, there are butter stands with all the condiments. That was very confusing so don't pay for butter, just get some before you scan your tickets off to the side.

The theatres are great. Awesome screens and awesome sound. The actual movie viewing experience is always great. I find the ticket takers aren’t very nice and I know it’s kind of expected, but the food prices are ridiculously high. $20 for $2 worth of popcorn and $3 worth of pop? Crazy.
The service at the concession stand was not that great, but more importantly: there was a helium balloon that had floated to the ceiling in the theatre and no one removed it. The picture was obscured by the balloon.
We went to this location to watch a movie that was only playing in select theatres. Our experience was not the best as opposed to other theatres we frequent. The popcorn was not fresh for a very busy time and the workers were distracted half the time while taking orders. The seats were not comfortable and there was barely any leg room so you were constantly hitting the person in front of you and if anyone is sitting behind you then they’re hitting your seat. It’s very crowded and congested so beware of that. It’s your basic movie experience. Nothing special or outstanding about it compared to competitors.
