Enjoyed the VIP experience although it's a little pricey. At Landmark the seats are just as comfy and you can get free refills on popcorn and drinks. That would be a bonus if Cineplex offered the same deal. The heated seats were a nice touch though and the servers were great.
Revamp review Last 3 times they leave the lights on so much you can barely see previews and yes some people like them. Not to mention straws that degrade before drink is done and now have been out of the V. I. P peach drink for weeks on end with diffrent excuse each time.
By far the best VIP theater in Edmonton. Amazing seats that are so comfortable and great for a date. Serves beverages and food menu with delivery. Games area could use some more attention so people can actually get set up to play. And it be nice if they would dim lights for previews.
Well covid protocol, understaffed one person on door to deal with disgruntled patrons, and everyone has to wait pop and corn is stupidly priced since when do we pay 50 dollars for two pops and popcorn worth 5 bucks to complete the expirence, but hey if you shall giver!
I love going to the movies, it's an experience that you can't really replicate at home. Over the years it's become suuuper expensive, but once in a while it's great to get out with a date or family and see a good movie on the big screens. The VIP is crazy expensive, but an experience every adult should try at least once, you can have a beer delivered to you in any other theater after all! See you there.
We attended the VIP restaurant before going to the AVX theatre for our movie. Our server was very friendly but the service for our drinks was quite slow. We received our appetizers before our first drinks. The food on the other hand was very quick and tasteful.
I don't know what it is about movies, but they always seem to bring out the worst in me. For some people, it's just the company of friends and that familiar setting that brings them joy. However, movie theaters can be a fun place with an exciting social atmosphere and a great film series. I had a very interesting experience here recently which gave me reason to reflect on my experiences going to this treasure trove of entertainment for all ages.
I always have a great experience here. I really enjoy the VIP theatre, the spaciousness and the great service. I also really like the Atmos theatre experience, the sound is so clear and really helps bring the movie alive. It’s clean and feels relaxed but orderly at the same time… if that makes any sense? Lol
It was a quite Sunday. 7 of us in my family went to see No Time to Die! Very clean theatre. The best part was there only us 7 in the theatre! Had fun and enjoyed the movie and the whole place!
Had an issue with a seat, but the staff did their best to rectify the situation eventually moving us to different seating. This place overall is worth it just for the amazing staff alone.
One of the best Cinemas in Edmonton and a great place to spend time watching movies and eating popcorn with the family. My children absolutely love coming here.
Sprung for the VIP experience with dinner and a movie for my birthday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Food is reasonably priced (and very good), drinks are good but expensive, but that’s not unusual for alcohol anywhere.
The VIP theatre is very nice. The recliner seats are comfortable and the in-seat service is a nice “VIP” touch to the traditional movie experience.
If you haven’t tried VIP, I certainly recommend giving it a shot. I won’t do it every time, but it lives up to the name!
In addition, every staff member I interacted with was friendly and professional. No complaints about this theatre whatsoever.
Loved the VIP experience! If you go on Tuesdays the cheap movie night applies to the VIP experience as well. Looking forward to watching many more movies here!
Got Popcorn to go the other night from skip the dishes. I asked them to take their 2020/Covid frustrations out on the butter pump. Boy they did not disappoint! Thank you!
Went to see a movie yesterday and we felt so safe and welcomed! Everything was clean and we were definitely social distanced, plus way more space. I felt safe going to a movie and will be going again when it opens up! The staff are also very helpful and were attentive to anything we needed. It was a safe place to go to get out of the house on a cold day!
We went to enjoy a movie VIP style. In my mind they shouldn't call it VIP. You have to get up and miss 15-20 minutes of your movie to go to the bar only to order a burger and a drink. Service was absolutely horrible, was as if no one worked there, yet if you peek in the kitchen there's about 8 waiters bullsh*tting with the cooks. Takes another half hour to bring one over priced burger and 5 oz of a watered down drink. So if you plan on spending half your paycheck to watch a movie on a reclining leather chair and miss half the show, I'd recommend buying a leather couch and subscribing to Netflix, you'd probably get a better deal!
I had a question about the family private movie and this theater is the only one that has thier phone number listed and they also actually answer the phone. The manager was so helpful and so friendly and I wish I had gotten his name. Thank you so much
Food was good for a fast food enjoyed the gravy is interesting, I think they added a bit of cayenne to the mix just enough to taste a different type of gravy I approve.
It's clean, open and the staff are amenable, more than friendly. Not afraid to talk with you. Sometimes the popcorn is astronomical, worth skipping dinner for.
I’ve gone to see 9 movies since the beginning of October and 7 of the 9 times I’ve gone I’ve had no issues. One visit was a popcorn issue and the other was a lighting issue. Overall, the staff are quick, efficient, and even apologize for mandatory COVID cleaning. I enjoy my movie watching experience nearly every time.
Generally a nice, clean theater. My experiences with staff have all been positive. However I did see a mouse during a single visit, but the location is pretty well on top of a giant field and in Edmonton you get used to the occasional critter. Would still recommend this location:)
The theater is not usually too busy and even when it appears crowded you likely don't have to wait too long. There is the option for comfier seats at a higher rate, as is in most theaters, but the regular seats are not the worst
VIP tickets not worth the money for service. The staff was to busy talking to each other to actually take anyone’s order. Numerous people including us had to constant ask them to come take our orders and almost didn’t get the order in prior to the end of the order time. Staff was rude. The greeting guy at the vip entrance was extremely rude and actually came up to us and asked us what we were doing when we sat down to order our food. Go to St. Albert or go to Windermere avoid this one if you can until they get better staff.
Manager was very helpful with my hearing issues to see endgame in vip cant remember his name but he was a very cool guy and enjoyed what I could hear haha
I watched a movie in the very comfortable vip theatre. When i got home i realised that i forgot my wallet there and raced back. An amazing staff member, Haley i believe (sorry if i got that wrong) let me in and helped me look. A good samaritan had turned in my wallet and i am thankful to all of the great staff for a great experience above and beyond! Thank you also to the good samaritan that turned in my wallet!
Was greatly disappointed I ordered tickets online to go and watch End Game, on arrival I order 2 fish bowls price for each is 18 total would be 37.50 the bartender handed me the hanheld debit machine it read 67.50 I had her correct it to 37.50 and added a 5 dollar tip so 42.50 I waited throughout the movie did not end up recieving my drinks at the end of the show I walked around and looked for someone to possibly talk to and could not get a hold of anyone definitely will not be returning back
I will return but the starting audio was horrible! Loud screeching like 8-bit game sounds made the first 10 to 20 minutes bad in the theater room. It was not like this the first time I went hopefully it doesn't repeat.
Huge rave to the manager of the VIP theatre. Made our first time there so awesome! And even bigger rave to them having actual gluten free options made in a separate fryer.
I love the VIP side of the theater. Awesome food, good seats and in seat service. Well worth the $25 ticket price. The other side of the theater is your average cineplex theater. Nothing special there.
Really clean for a movie theater, but definitely splurge for the VIP. The regular seating is so creaky and uncomfortable that I barely made it through the movie, and the rows are so close together that you can't relax your legs in fear of kicking the people in front of you in the head.
If you have watched a movie at the Windermere VIP and were impressed then prepare for an upgrade. Who can say no to fresh popcorn and comfortable seats when settling in for a show! Every VIP seat is a power recliner.
