Made my annual 7 hour round trip to see Jody at Cinnamon Girl for my brow and eye liner touch up. As always the shop is gorgeous, the staff are wonderful and my permanent make up is refreshed! It’s worth every minute of the drive!

I have been a repeat client for over 10 years and will continue. I was a nubie to cosmetic tattooes and followed her work for three years before deciding on a service. I had her do microblading, eyeliner and lip blush and I see her yearly for colour boosts for all three. She is professional, always on time and enjoy our visits. I had the absolute pleasure of having Elissa micro blade my eyebrows. As a first time customer, slightly nervous and excited for my first permanent make up, Elissa made me feel extremely at ease. She first drew in my eyebrow shape with make up to show me how it would look like and proceeded to walk me through, calmly what she will be doing during the process. To my surprise, it didn't hurt - in fact, I felt so comfortable and talked to Elissa the whole time! The sensation was more of an uncomfortable scrape that came and went and before I knew it, she completed my eyebrow tattoo so quickly, efficiently and beautifully! Elissa and the receptionist walked me through the after care and my second touch up (4 weeks post) got booked immediately and I had the exact same, amazing service and I absolutely love my eyebrows! The shape is beautifully shaped and now I don't have to worry about drawing in my eyebrows for special events! Thank you Elissa for helping me feel beautiful, confident, strong and happy! A bit disappointed… I had come in with photos of how I do my brows with makeup to specify what I wanted for my brows and I got something completely different (tail too high, and front slanted too low… not at all what I showed in the picture or asked for). It would have been nice if they took the time to really understand what I was asking for and make sure. I even came back right after my appointment to try to get it closer to what I wanted which helped and I appreciated. However, there are now parts of my brow that I wish I could erase, such as the tail being too high (it literally looks like I have two tails if I don’t brush my hairs up). Maybe it was just mercury in retrograde but I don’t know how it came across that I wanted it that way. They don’t look bad at all and they still look a lot better than before, but it’s slightly disappointing to have paid a lot of money to not get the exact results I was hoping for. I appreciated their amazing technique though! The hairs look very precise and natural.

Elissa is extremely professional and personable. I would recommend her to anyone!
I also must share if your nervous it might be painful Elissa has the most gentle technique. I have had my brows microbladed many times before and she was the most light handed.

I can’t thank Kayla enough for my amazing powder brows! They’re life changing! I used to draw my brows on even on days I didn’t wear makeup because of the lack of hair. I feel much more confident going bare faced now…. It’s so freeing. Trichotillomania has met its match!

I initially saw Jody for eyebrows and if I'm honest I left with the same feelings as others. I found her to be very cool rather than friendly, she spent 15 minutes doing my brows. There was no stencilling and I had to request that I see some samples so I could show her what shape I liked and didn't like. I left feeling awful. I chalked it up to her having a bad day, but others have commented similarly. As far as her procedures, I felt safe and it was very clean in the clinic. Her brows were okay. I have continued to go to Cinnamon Girl but asked for other artists. They have always been very friendly. One artist in particular has given me the best brow shape. As far as the office cleanliness, and professional representation, it was top notch.

I drive from Medicine Hat to get my eyebrows microbladed at Cinnamon Girl and it's 100% worth the trip! All of my appointments have been seamless from booking to finish. The staff are professional and not intimidating like some spas/salons can be. The clinic is very clean and inviting. Friendly service and the quality of tattooing is fantastic! I will continue to have my colour boosts here.:)

I've been going to Cinnamon Girl clinic for years, like before microblading was even a big thing yet. I got my original set from Jody and as scared I was they turned out awesome. I've been to multiple artists there since for my yearly touch ups and every artist has been so great. The reception staff is always accommodating especially Collette, very warm and welcoming. My last color boost I got done was by Kayla and they might be my best set yet! She is very sweet and such a perfectionist she'll will make sure you are happy with the results!

I had Elissa do my eyebrow microblading, and I am so happy with my experience and the results! She takes the time to map out the eyebrows and really takes into consideration what kind of look you are going for. I loved chatting with her during the procedure, as well. She took her time working on each eyebrow and did not rush. Overall great at her job and a very friendly person!

After reading another bad review, I felt I needed to share my experience. I paid over $900 for a first time microblading. Jody did not mark my brows to insure symmetry. I actually had blood dripping when I left. Jody was cold and would not discuss colour — she was finished in 15 minutes. I did not go back, and she did a full refund. I have since had my brows corrected — totally different experience! IMO Cinnamon Girl over charges for amateur microblading. Please check out other professionals before booking with Jody.

Jody is a talented Artist who operates in a bright sterile environment. I trusted her with both the design and color of my eyebrows, just before I went through chemotherapy. Her work kept me confident through my treatment and I continually receive compliments on my brows, often having to point out that they are not 'real'. Colette is the goddess at reception who runs front-of-house, and is always wonderful to chat with. HIGHLY reccomended.
