Definitely the best haircut experience I've ever had! Much better than your ordinary barber shop, especially if you're looking to provide your hair stylist with specific instructions and you'd like for them to stick to them. My haircut cost $60 dollars and included a wash, if you've never had one it's worth it purely for that experience alone. My haircut was an 11/10 and after I was told that If I come in in a month a trim would be free which is great. I don't think I'll be returning to a regular barber anytime soon, definitely recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a high quality haircut. The staff is great and friendly and the atmosphere is unmatched.

If you’re planning on leasing a spot from Jeff Wade DONT. He will scam you out of your deposit anyway he can. He is the shadiest person to do business with. He’s raised our rent twice in a 6 month period. First time with 3 weeks notice and second time with four weeks notice. Legally he has to give 3 months notice. He refuses to give my deposit back so I’ve put a lean on the building and we’re going to court. Save yourself the headache.

I've been going to Elsa for a while to do microlink extensions. Her work is flawless and she's so fast! I don't ever want to go back to a sew in. I got hair from her custom hair line and I've never seen hair like this before. The density and thickness is consistent from root to tip! I know I'll be enjoying these extensions for many years

Elsa with lsu.suhairandbeauty did my Bridal Hair and makeup on September 2022 and I have never felt so beautiful in my life. I only trust Elsa now with all my beauty services as she truly is an artist in her craft. It is very hard for me to trust people with my makeup as I feel they always do too much. Elsa, knows how to treat all skin types and brings out the best with eye shadow colors, contour and blush. My Bridal makeup was flawless! My hair style was timeless and it stayed in place the whole day throughout evening without any touch ups. Elsa also did my 1/2 of my bridesmaids and the other half had to go to another stylist and let me tell you, they had her touching them up and my other girls were wishing they had seen her too! Thank you Elsa for being such a great person, making me feel confident and being the sweetest. HIGHLY recommend your Bridal Day to be with Elsa. All the love, Char-

My wife woke up early on the day of our wedding to get her hair done, and lone behold Elsa was a no show leaving the bride absolutely crushed on the wedding day, it’s not something that can be fixed very very heartbreaking it’s an embarrassment. (Maybe they should pay $800 to have pictures retaken)

Since moving from Toronto, it has taken me 6 years to find a hair stylist that understands my type of hair texture in Calgary without further damaging it. I was referred by a friend to Elsa at L’Susu Hair and I am so thankful that I tried her services. Elsa is extremely knowledgable (and trust me I asked a ton of questions and all of her answers were on point) and she is extremely personable! L-SUSU Hair and Beauty Studio is the only place I go for my hair needs - wigs, wig installs or weaves. I've been going to see Elsa for probably close to 10 years now and her service is exceptional. I see Elsa at Lsus salon in citizen salon and she is amazing! Had extensions done for 2 years and she was the best price, colour matching and made it super fun if you wanted to change things up or change lengths. My hair was also great condition once my hair grew and extentions came out. Give her a try for long beautiful extentions and colour!

I got hair extensions done at Studio L'Susu Hair by the amazing Elsa Hailemariam and oh my word they changed my life. First, Citizen Salon is such a great space, it's so neat and clean and houses many wonderful stylists. Secondly, Elsa has been the most amazing hair stylist I have had the pleasure of working with. My extensions are absolutely lovely and have made me feel so confident and amazing. I've seen Elsa just a few times, but it feels like I have known her forever, she is a bubbly amazing person who makes you feel so comfortable from the moment you book your appointment to the moment you leave the chair. I have been getting my hair done for the past 4 years, at Studio L'Susu Hair by the incredibly talented Elsa. I have had everything done from cuts, colours, extensions and makeup. Every time I leave the studio I'm left AMAZED by her talent. You also need to know that Elsa is the kindest, most selfless person I've ever met. She is simply wonderful. Elsa is amazing! She's recently made me a ponytail extension and it is perfect she color matched my color and it's perfect. I've also had braids and extensions done by her shes truly talented at what she does!

Elsa is absolutely amazing! I was hesitant at first having moved from Toronto, coming to Calgary. I wasn't sure what to expect. She was recommended to me by some acquaintances in the city and I was floored after she did my hair. I have now been seeing her for just over 2 years and my hair has also doubled in length and is the longest it has ever been in my life since seeing her. She is so accommodating and warm, making you feel comfortable in her chair as she reassures you and clearly communicates everything she's doing and asks questions about your preferences along the way. I've never been so happy with a hairstylist in the past despite having seen top stylists in Toronto. She also does killer makeup for photoshoots, weddings, birthdays or any occasion. She knows her stuff and keeps on trend in a fashionable manner, which I also really appreciate. Her talent is unparalleled and it's unbelievable that her kindness and hospitality matches. After seeing my hair one evening after coming from her salon, my aunt is also now a loyal client of hers as well and has been seeing her for over a year. Aurielle is the best! She listens and takes her time to do an incredible job. She has always provided outstanding service every single visit we have had with her.

I feel that April is an excellent person but she does not have enough knowledge for all types of hair, I have been painting my hair for four years and it had never been damaged in this way I tried to find the best option guiding me by photos because it came from Colombia and I didn't know where to go but I got very bad results.

Elsa Hialemariam has a horrible attitude which is bad enough but she recently installed a wig she made for me and it's falling apart! I attempted to reach out to her and have not got a response although the dm has seen written on it. Without even requesting a refund and simply hoping she would fix the issue. I heard a few stories about her but with it being covid and attempting to support black businesses I tried my best to go forth and make an opinion of my own. Bad idea. Nonetheless I now have a wig that costed me a pretty penny that will have to go in the bin.

I went here, great workers, great hair stylists, just a great place, not to mention the gorgeous scenery. I would recommend it very much if you want a good experience.

I go to Studio Jaxx here owned by Jacquelyn and she has work wonders with my dry damage hair. Now I have healthy beautiful locks. Great salon especially in times I've covid when you in a private room with your stylist rather then an open salon such a great opportunity for stylist to become business owners without having to open up their own home

I loved the concept of this salon, and tried 3 stylists. I experienced missed communication regarding appointments, wasn’t told the stylist had moved to another location and then misunderstanding around the cut and colour I was looking for. In general poor customer service and very little concern about customer retention. My impression is that these are young people starting their own business and they don’t seem to know or under stand the concept of customer satisfaction. I wish them luck but won’t be back.

This is such a nice concept. Your able to find hair dressers, tattoo artist and alot of talent creative in one space. So you can get your nails done them go next door for your hair appointment

Horrible customer service. Sent several emails and got 1 response which did not include any timeslots or a price. Simply was asked what service I was interested in, even though it had the details involved in the email. I was told lsu.suhairandbeauty was pricy but one of the best; so I'm not sure if that is the reason for the dismissal. Yet I feel as a business owner they would take the time to say I'm overbooked or unavailable. Versus have an individual continue to reach out. Quite disappointed to be honest. As a potential customer the behavior is unacceptable and management should be following up with employees to ensure people aren't having this type of experience.

A fantastic concept for a communal, yet private, salon space. I love that you can walk by all the rooms and see a variety of services being done and a broad spectrum of interior design choices. There are also a number of rooms with solid doors to ensure privacy when needed. Highly recommend you check them out!

This review is not towards the salon at all but towards a hair stylist. If I could give 0 stars I would. I had an appointment with Kirsty Duckett today at 2: 30.half an hour goes by and she’s still not at the salon. So I asked one of the other girls if they knew what time she came in and she told me that Kirsty had moved locations!? I was never informed. And my original appointment was supposed to be April 27th but she rescheduled to today and didn’t show up. I tried contacting her and still no response. HUGE lack of professionalism. I will never book with her again.

KIRSTY is the absolute best! She is kind, she is sweet, she is patient, and she works efficiently! She gets what you want and what you need and most importantly she understands what a TRIM means! She also gives great suggestions, she is so talented! A real artist!

I have been seeing Alana since I moved to Calgary. She is fantastic at listening to your wants, while providing expert advice and consultation. She has always been able to execute what I want from photos and tailors it to my hair needs. I wouldn't see anyone else!

Very cool concept and great location! I love that you can kind of browse through all the people working there and can also basically get all your beauty services covered under one roof! Love the free parking too as Mission sometimes gets busy.

I get my hair cut by Erin here. She is an amazing stylist! I have crazy thick curls and she always does she an amazing job with them.

Love this unqiue idea! If you're looking for a stylist go see Edina! She is a hair goddess. The sweetest youll ever meet and SO knowledgeable. I love her salon space too! I highly reccomend her! I look forward to exploring the other business's for other services in this building!

Amber from Amber is a color is amazing and talented! She fixed a previous hair dressers mistake! And gave me a beautiful Red Copper ombre! I love my hair!
