Civeo Wapasu Creek Lodge

They've closed the entire main hall, everyone in main and east camp all have to use the same dining and bag up room in east until the renovations are done. Even less selection for dinner and lunches now and obviously longer lines to wait for food. They say renovations will be done in December. Here's hoping they are. They don't actually clean the rooms, just change the bedding and towels between checkouts and check-ins, not daily. They stopped supplying soap in the rooms so you have to go get it yourself from the cleaners. Seems every shift there's another cost cutting measure that's been implemented. Most workers at this camp are nice, but Wapasu really is bottom tier in terms of camps these days. Bring your own router if you want WiFi you just get a LAN jack in your room.

As a dry work camp it does what it needs to. Does feel more like a light prison. Food was OK. Was up there for 2 weeks and not once was anything touched in the room. The heat was stuck on full blast and couldn't be changed. But like I said it did what it needed to for the job.

Rooms have stains on every bed I have been given. Food is generally like gas station food or worse, and with the EDI down this issue is worse. Feels like being in prison, it is nicknamed Wapatraz for a reason I suppose.

Rooms ok.cleaning could be more often because of Shared bathrooms.
Food usual mass produced stuff.

The room is awesome.lots of room, a bigger bed, my own washroom way better than a lot of other camps. Food is decent from what I've had so far. Lunch bag up room has variety.lots to choose from. The biggest fault is no video game or TV room, no store to buy essentials.its frustrating having to deal.with vending machines only.

I'm severely ill right now and security and this camp doesn't seem to care. I'm not getting much help from my company the machines are having issues so I can't even by medication. This is like a prison I can't even leave to see a doctor. I'm most likely about to pack up right now and quit this job before I get any sicker don't want to drop dead here. I'm very worried right now and it seems they don't care if people might possibly drop dead.

Trade rooms have returned to jack and jill which means you share a bathroom with a random stranger who may be on a different shift from you.beds are too narrow and worn out, food has also gotten worse and sellection reduced citing pandemic as an excuse. Exec rooms are quite decent.

Stop your moaning, it's a work camp.what do you expect, the Hilton? !
Food is good, it's edible, a good variety, yeah it has its bad days but no different to a Mess.
Food would be great at the start of the budget and dwindle down to the cooks doing the best they can with what they have.
The rooms are small, you don't need a large room, you're here for 10 days. Executive rooms are good but I prefer the smaller ones.
All up, love it here, home away from home.

Wapasu is okay. Rooms are always clean. Staff isnt very friendly somedays and they have alot of security watching you. Good food

Limited cleaning staff, rooms cleaned once every 14 days, food is far from fresh. First time stay time stay room temp started at 25°C went down 2°C over night with window open.

This place is not for your tdavlers it a work camp for most but if you feel the aurge to try camp life this is a big one at 2000 plus rooms 3 kitchen areas and entrances with 5 gyms, y games rooms.golf simulation.out door hockey rink.snow shoe trailes and cross country skiing for the workers that stay there.only problem if you get some rooms you share a bathroom and your walk for food is a half a mile if your lucky.

Rooms are laid out strangely and it is difficult to read comfortably in bed. Food is merely adequate to fill the void not to enjoy.

Terrible food, rooms are never cleaned, the concept of customer service doesn't even exist. All things considered, worst camp I've ever been at

Anyone that says the food is good at this camp obviously Is trying to be nice or hasn’t been in many camps. The food is way below par for good. The rooms are hit and miss for cleanliness, but very unlikely to have a clean room. I have stayed in over 20 calls and this has to be the 2nd worse one.
Lunch never changes it’s always the same food every week and it’s rarely ever switched up. The worst of it is that there are multiple kitchens but they remain closed due to…? No idea. So there is always a over packed food area.
Why don’t they open the East Wing again? This would slim down on the lineups at the least.

No wifi, foods not very good, paper thin walls and during a pandemic were sharing bathrooms with a stranger. But remember these people care.

Rooms are lousy, Rain hits window and is annoying makes sleep lousy. A/C makes large bang noise every time it goes on. Food is lousy. Staff never cleans room, have to go to front desk to get your room cleaned and even then it doesn’t get done. Lunch selection is terrible unless you like butter chicken. Deserts are only good thing. Good place to go if you want to lose weight. They can never put fries and burgers on the same night. Or fries and fish. Must be a foreign chef thing.
Good thing iam not paying for this.
Rooms are jack and Jill and the government should shut this down because of that

Worst camp I've ever been to. Food is terrible. Camp design is ridiculous they make u walk a kilometer from the parking lot then another just to get to your room from the kitchen. Staff and security are very ignorant and the rooms and hallways are dirty lucky if your room gets cleaned once a week. If u have to stay here just quit your job cause it's not worth it

I was here for 8 days.food was fantastic.room was adequate.other reviews cutting down this place are probably from people who got fired or quit.

This is the worst camp ive stayed at in a long time. Terrible rooms and bed, no wifi and all standard definition tv. I know this is a work camp but you guys could at least try to make it some what enjoyable.

Terrible food, unhelpful staff, and the rooms are cleaned poorly and infrequently. One out coworkers was in prison and said the food and accommodations were better. I don't doubt it.

Camp rooms never get cleaned while you stay, food isn't the best, shared bathrooms. Worst part is it's half an hour from the job site and you don't get paid travel

Lines out the door to check in every time, laundry facilities rarely work, rude staff and the rooms are dirty they will try and rebuttal the dirty rooms with something about the cleaning schedule but if you are sharing a bathroom it should be cleaned daily and it's not and when you arrive to a new room it shouldn't have boogers on the wall or pubes on the floor

Most dinners are really good. Rooms are quiet. Pretty good facilities for recreation and exercise. Lunches usually have fresh fruit available but lunch meal selection is limited and could use a better selection.

Nothing good about this camp dont know what you're eating gotta guess beds fill with sands and the cleaning is good when it's done tho

About on par with your average work camp. Half the washing machines are broken and the cleaning staff don't do the greatest job. You can tell they are pressured to rush as many rooms as possible in a shift.

It's not the best. The West wing isn't even attached to the main hall, so you have to walk outside to get to the main hall. It sucks. And sometimes your key don't doesn't work so you have to come back to the front desk and walk it can take 15 min each way to get there.

Was about to accept a job at kearl, having serious second thoughts, why is my only question here, i luved at Albian Village and that can br called a lodge.clean organized and comfirtable place to live.kearl please clean this up.

All OK but, If you leave camp to go to Town you cannot return to camp. Kind of kept prisoner in camp if you want to keep your job. Bedeets only changed every 10 days (most camps every 7 days). You can only leave camp to go to the works site, turnaround, laid off or quit. Even if you live in Fort McMurray which is only 125 Kms you cannot go home on your day off (doing 6 & 1 rotation during a shutdown.)

They dont ever clean your rooms in the east wing. Have to change our own sheets which is fine.it is what it is.the issue I have is that they do not provide us said cleaning supplies or broom. Also, the food lineups move dreadfully slow. Very poorly managed company. The lunch selection is okay though. Fresh fruit which is nice.

If they ordered enough of the lunch/dinner you like it's ok.
I have stayed in many worse places. Jack and Jill washrooms make for a rough sleep schedule.

Among the few things I had a problem with. When I open my window because it's hot, I smelt sewer. After 12 days I had to request that my room be cleaned. Juice dispenser hasn't worked for 2 weeks. 2 out of 3 washing machines dont work.

Foods great, quiet rooms, accommodating cooks cleaners counter checkin staff etc. Befs nd T. C.s are small, beds kinda are BRUTAL, But hey o5s camp right.
