Clareview Bottle Depot

The workers here are 10/10 amazing, fast, hard workers with a friendly smile but they don’t seem to have enough employees at this location to support eachother during the holiday/weekend rush… there were huge lineups and they were doing their best to keep everyone moving but I felt for the staff. I hope this location hires more workers at least on these busy times.

A bit difficult to get into and they do not refund the deposit on many items that a deposit was paid when purchased.
And, YES; there is really an Alberta Inspector. This recycler and many others actually are regularly checked for their activities. Unfortunately, many not refunding the deposit for several types of containers that a deposit was paid for at the time of purchase.

Would be more stars, what little staff they have are friendly and hard working employees.they just need to hire more so the current employees don't get overwhelmed and quit.

This place is awesome out of all the bottled vehicles I've went to this place it's gotta be the best it has the best employees with the best attitudes and you're just great people that work there I recommend everyone to go there and they even have a drive-through

Been going here since I was a kid. Drive through is nice for large loads and staying warm in the car during winter months. Staff members aren't conversationalists, but are always friendly and professional. If you go mid morning or mid afternoon chances are good that wait time will be minimal to none.

As long as I live in this part of town, I'll take my empties here.

Good modern bottle depot, computerized counting and pay slip, have added a computer payout terminal, scan barcode slip and payment is completed, fast and efficient.

The way the count the bottles at this location is impossible to get the right quantity for you. It's just a ripping of.
They fill their bin before they add it to their computer system, which means they just enter whatever they want for you. Sent a car load and got less than $100.

Great service. You pour the bottles, they count em, move em, and give you cash for it. Very efficient.

Place is kind of hidden, but a hidden gem

I can only suggest AVOID drive thru, as you'll get caught up in a pretty annoying line up, especially if you only have a few bags.

3 in, 3 out due to covid restrictions. Pretty efficient but a better sign on the door might be more beneficial.

During covid we should remember to be polite. Unfortunately the lady at the door, was unprofessional and rude. There is no need to have a snarky attitude and keep repeating yourself. I heard you the first time.

Slow disorganized and they should have an automatic machine like the others that once you have your bottles counted you can redeem your money.

Social distancing measures are in place. Now there are only two people counting bottles for walk in. Takes a little longer. There is a drive thru!

I have always had very good service here. This is the only bottle depot we go to. One time I needed to use the bathroom. I was brought in promptly and used the facilities. Nice staff

Very poor customer service. They have a massive line up, call the next person up and sends the staff for a break (the break is fine) but dont leave customers waiting there for 40 minutes while they have already unloaded and are now stuck there. COMMUNICATION IS CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE! NO PEOPLE SKILLS AT ALL. Then for voicing your concerns get attitude from the staff. Worst place ever! All you have to do is say something to let people know, or dont call them up as if you are ready and then make them stand there for 40 min. Unacceptable.

Oddly this is one of the hidden gems in business. They were open when my regular bottle depot advertised to be open but were closed (see other review). So I went here. Yes, it looks like a location out of the Walking Dead, but they were quick, courteous, and well organized. Thank you for being open and actually accurately indicating your hours of operation on your voicemail.

The lady that served me spoke no English and was by far the slowest person I have had from any bottle depot. She got the job done and I believe her numbers were accurate but definitely dont come here if you have a lot of bottles to return. As well one bottle wasn't recyclable, she told me "garbage". I asked why all she said was hold on I asked the guy next to us and the lady kept shouting hold on hold on. She then very slowly walked away to grab someone that spoke English. Turns out the bottle was biodegradable.

Not a bad idea to come here.

Good bottle depot with hardworking people. Accurate counts. Although busy, you won't have to wait.

This has been my local depot for almost 10 years now. Their service is pretty good and I'm never worried about the counts.

Only been in edmonton 6 years. This is the only place I go to. I feel I can trust them. See you tomorrow.

I frequent this place a couple times a year I count before I go and they are always accurate, friendly and always give suckers when I bring my kids usually a fairly busy place

I’ve been going to the Clareview Bottle Depot for nearly 20 years now. Fast, friendly, and trustworthy. What more could you ask for?

Fantastic service from all of the staff that helped make our bottle drive very organized and successful! Thank you so much for all you did for our team! Will be returning very soon for another bottle drive!

I go to this place for years, however they miscalculate 9 times out of 10. I suggest don’t take in large quantity because at lease 25% will be “donated” to them! Only bring in a small amount at a time, then its ok. I was reading all the comments and many write they are great at counting? And many write they were ripped off! I went there many times precounting my bottle so I don’t just have a feeling being ripped but have a fact to know for sure! Its not about the 5-6$ dollar, its the dishonesty that botthers and in one time I mentioned to them and “oh my God” they are ignorant! And please don’t write an answear that you don’t rip off and bla bla bla.and its counted in front of customer bla bla.because it is a fact like I said I brought there PRE-COUNTED! However I gave one star because I think the people who work there are sometimes nice, maybe they are just told to miscount or they truly don’t know how to count I don’t know but I don’t think its the worker’s fault!
