Came for a vision exam which was fine, but they wouldn’t provide me with any details on the $20 off your order. Was cheaper for me to order my glasses online myself then through them. When i should them the price difference between the 2, they said i was wrong and that number is a lie, lol.

Had to reach out to customer service for my $20 off voucher which they said would be sent via email, in which i was then told it only worked with in store orders. The lack of information and the delay in my order is enough for me to just pay extra at pearle vision now.

Terrible customer service. I haven't bought glasses in a couple of years and now that I have insurance again I waited until Black Friday to take advantage of the sales for the frames I wanted. My clearly purchase went through without an issue - only to hear from an automated email 4 days later that the glasses were not in stock and my order is canceled. Even though the glasses are still showing as available on the site. After several emails back and forth that were going nowhere, I decided to call. Long story short - I am STILL trying to get a hold of someone with Clearly who can tell me whether or not my glasses are being processed.

I normally have good experiences here but my most recent visit prompted me to submit a review. I waited a solid 10 minutes for a salesperson (they are difficult to identify because they don't wear nametags or professional attire) and when someone finally came out, she greeted me. Once I explained my situation, she went to look for a specific frame, then started a conversation with another customer about what she was wearing! The conversation went back and forth for a while until the customer remembered where she got her jacket. I was pressed for time and needed to get in / out as soon as possible and it was *really* frustrating to witness them chatting about clothes while I waited.and waited.

I had a fantastic experience today with Sandra Vigil. I needed to get a reader and sunglasses. Sandra was very knowledgeable and really friendly. She had some great suggestions and I ultimately found the glasses that I needed. Thank you for such a positive shopping experience.

This storefront has always been helpful! My daughter glasses were broke. But we had an old pair of the same frame and they were able to pop the new lenses into her old frames. We have been seeing the optometrist here since they opened as well, very nice shop

I recently visited the Calgary store very happy.

I explained I was about to have an eye exam at a different optometrist and I asked for my PD measurement. Which the friendly assistant happly provided I was given a measurement of 63mm.

At my eye exam I asked the same question and was provided with the measurement of 68mm.

Great eyeglass buying experience, and great value for money. Olive at the store was very patient in helping with the choice of frames and lens, and she took great care to make sure proper measurements are taken (order 51448953). Highly recommended to check out Clearly when shopping for glasses.

WOW! Worst service ever, 3 people working, not one person made eye contact or acknowledged me. I had to ask for help, once I was helped I was then asked to wait as 2 ladies were with customers. Then once one lady was free, she told me to wait for the lady that was with a customer, I asked if she could help me and she said to wait. Then another customer came in and she helped them. I walked out, worst customer service! So many other options, Bailey Nelson, Pearl Vision, Oscar Wylee, Lens Crafters.

It was our first time there, we were looking for some glasses for my mother in law, Heather helped us all through our purchase, thoroughly explaining everything and she had the most wonderful customer service! She made sure everything was properly ordered and taken care for the glasses to arrive on time. Thank you so much Heather, we cannot thank you enough for the wonderful service and we are definitely coming back to see you next time we need another pair of glasses.

Just wanted to say that Angela the licensed optician did a really good job at explaining what glasses best suited my needs and lifestyle.
I’ve had a lot of trouble finding the right pair and Angela helped make that process really quick, easy, and efficient. Without sacrificing any part of the customer service interaction.

Clearly as a company deserves 0 stars.

They claimed to have sent us all 3 pair of glasses. However, we received just 2. They requested proof of packaging which clearly fit only 2 pairs. We sent pictures of packaging.

Around 3 weeks later, we got our daughter’s glasses not thinned even though we paid for it.

We went back to the store and they promised us they will be thinned next time.

We’ve got our daughter’s glasses again without being thinned!

How can Clearly messed up 3 times? !

Absolutely dissatisfied and disappointed with Clearly service, we’ve asked for a refund.

We’ve waisted waiting around 2 months to get our daughter’s glasses, around eight hours going back and forth to Clearly store, around 3 hours talking on the phone and sending emails to Clearly, who clearly enough doesn’t care about their customers.

I cannot recommend anyone Clearly.

However, Angela, who attended us at Clearly Chinook Mall in Calgary AB on Dec 31,2022, to get our prescriptions and what glass frames we wanted, was fantastic. She deserves 5 stars.

Says to book an appointment, so you do. Then no one serves you, while u wait 30 minutes (apt was only 20) and watch them serve all walk ins that came after you. Don't waste your time.

Get your glasses here. Clearly may be cheap in price, but the quality isn't cheap. Customer service at clearly is great too. I entered the wrong prescription when ordering, and clearly customer service was understanding about it. I bought specs with my contact lens prescription. They replaced my pair with the correct prescription for free, even though it was my fault.

My boyfriend and I went in to get new frames and lenses and Sandra was so helpful. She let us know about their current promotion and I was able to get a free pair of sunglasses and 20% off my lenses. Selection is great and Sandra made our visit so easy. Will be referring my friends and family to this place and to Sandra as well!

Dr. Emily Jeong is one of the best optometrists I’ve met!
She is kind and really cares about your needs. I appreciate her listening to my eye issues and helping me find the appropriate care that suits my needs.

On Dec. 6th I visited Clearly in Chinook and Sukhpaul helped me select a new pair of glasses. He was very knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with and I am very happy with my new glasses. In addition Sukhpaul also quickly and skillfully reattached a temple arm on my old glasses. Thanks and Much appreciated

UPDATE:

I would give them zero stars if I could!

After 4 short months my sons glasses are broken! It took over a month to get these glasses to begin with. I had just ordered a back up pair when this pair broke on their own. When I called Clearly they proceeded to blame my son and told me they need to investigate the broken glasses before replacing them and that they would still take another 10-15 days to arrive. They have zero customer service and you will just talk in circles! I will be canceling my new order and taking my business somewhere that puts their customers first.

I suggest if you need glasses you shop around for other options besides Clearly.

Very rude staff at this particular location. Clearly in general is great, but I would suggest going to a different location than Chinook.

My husband and I went to the clearly store in Chinook to get our son his first pair of glasses. The woman who helped us, Sandra couldn’t have been more helpful or patient. She was absolutely fantastic and knowledgeable, really made it so we had a pleasant experience since neither of us had much experience shopping for glasses. 10 out of 10 recommend this location, the store and Sandra!

I saw 2 doctors here, as I went in after getting new glasses to have them re-evaluated, I was having difficulty adjusting. Both doctors were helpful, especially Dr. Glen Ong, whom I saw the second time. I ended up keeping the glasses and did adjust after a while, but it was helpful to check in about it. All of the staff who helped me were very friendly and took a lot of time to make sure I was getting what I wanted/ needed. Even after these 2 exams I had to go back several times and they were always very professional and went above and beyond to help me with anything I needed. I really appreciate their excellent care and customer service.

I have super sensitive eyes and it can months for my eyes to adjust to the slightest lens change. I bought from clearly and was not expecting to like the lens. My eyes have never felt so good. When I take them off I don’t get that eye pain or strain. I highly recommend getting progressives from here. Staff are absolutely fantastic. No pressure and they want u to be honest when fitting to make them completely comfortable. They had to send on pair back not because I asked but they looked and said the line was not right. Awesome. People

CLEARLY IS THE MOST AFFORDABLE GLASS!

I bought my glasses near Black Friday and it was around $250 for a pair of prescriptions glasses and sun glasses!

The manager her name is Svitlana was very patient with me when I first came in the store asking about the price. I went every where around the mall to compare about the price, CLEARLY was the best. So I book my appointment with Dr. Glen for an exam and I got $20 credit towards my glasses in clearly. I got my glasses through mail and it arrived a week early! I am very excited with my new glasses.

My girlfriend also ended up getting her exam with Dr. Emily. Svitlana was there to help her get a new pair of Ray-ban glasses!

I hope to see more of the Ray-ban section, some of the Ray-ban frame that we like was too small.

But overall was very a pleasure to shop here, thank you so much again Svitlana!

2nd time to this location. First time was told couldn't enter without an appointment. Ok! Months later decided to make an appointment online. Showed up on time to receive ZERO help. What's the point of
having an appointment? When I approached a sales rep she was not of much help and said she needed to help someone else who walked in after us. Won't be going back and will most definitely take my business elsewhere.

I don’t normally do this but I received one of the most incredible customer service a few weeks ago, so I’ve decided to post this review. I’m sorry it took this long.
I purchased four frames with the help of Sandra V. Sandra was helpful, friendly, knowledgable, patient, accommodating, professional and incredibly attentive to my needs. She wasn’t pushy at all, and put my needs before anything else. I could be a very indecisive customer, and this fact makes me very sensitive to other people’s time. But, Sandra V.made me feel at ease - there was absolutely no pressure whatsoever. Sandra V.was very reassuring and made it clear to me that I had all the time I needed to make my decision. She constantly reminded me not to rush. This made me feel so at ease that I completely forget how uneasy I initially was due to my indecisiveness. In response written to the review below I must say how dare someone feel the need to leave such an evil review. To describe someone as “portly” is extremely rude and is an attack of words. Keep in mind, we are still in a pandemic so please be mindful to those who work in retail. Please let’s just leave the ignorance at home. TERRIBLE customer service! Don’t purchase your glasses here if you expect to receive your order on time or want quality lens wear. The young sales reps at this store also just want to sell you any lens without any professional knowledge about their lens types; service delivery; or where the frames are manufactured. My glasses were incorrectly measured and they deliver your glasses to your home on purpose so that you don’t get them at the store like most eye wear stores do. In fact, you can’t even get an appointment now to go into the store because they say are booked because of Covid!

The Customer Service is unfortunately hit-or-miss. The rep who helped me pick out my glasses on my first visit was fantastic and helpful. My order came in after about a week and a half, but the fit was too tight so I came in to the store a week later to have it adjusted.

On this second visit, the first rep who was helping me seemed to have trouble adjusting my glasses and couldn't get the right fit even after several tries so she called another rep to help her. When they came back, the second rep came up to me and took one look at my glasses before telling me that if she broke my glasses while adjusting them, it would be at my cost and they weren't liable. That was surprising to me as it felt like she was dissuading me from asking them to make anymore adjustments. It felt like she was annoyed because she felt like I was being too difficult with her coworker. A third rep stepped in to tell that rep that my purchase had occured within 60 days so that wasn't the case and encouraged the rep to just adjust it.

Someone who isn't confident or not great with adjusting glasses is okay with me as everyone starts somewhere but how and what they said after wasn't. I would rather they just say they weren't confident with making adjustments and encourage me to go somewhere else that could better help me. They could also just say they can't do adjustments for liability reasons from the start so I would have gone somewhere else to begin with. If that wasn't the rep's intention, she might have to think of how she comes across moving forward. After that interaction, I didn't feel comfortable asking them to make further adjustments. Really unfortunate as my initial visit had been great.

Update: The next day, I received a phone call from the store manager who was very empathetic and apologetic over what had happened. I was asked to come back in and and have another staff member to adjust my glasses for me. On this visit, the person who helped me was very kind and patient, and seemed genuine in wanting my glasses to fit me. The store manager was also there and was again very empathetic and apologized for my encounter with one of their staff. My experience on that visit was so much better. I felt like they were genuine with wanting my experience to be positive. They were really amazing!

Awful service and attitude from bald portly Caucasian male in a grey hoodie. First he helped me while taking on his phone which was very rude. Later, he clapped his hands in my face and told me to get out because there was "10 minutes left" (but there were still other patrons in store). Then he went on a rant about how he'd been "doing this a long time", which was just a way for him to condescend to me. Recommend Hakim or Bailey Nelson instead

With 10 optical stores in Chinook Mall (Calgary) alone, there are lots of options to choose from.

I generally don't write reviews, but my experience was so outstanding that I had to share.

I went to Clearly, knowing that they would be very competitive price-wise, and they arrange eye testing on the premises. I saw Dr Glen Ong, and I have to admit I thought I was taking a chance, based on his picture. He looks like a teenager, but turns out he's like Doogie Howser (now you know how old I am by that reference! Ha ha!). Very knowledgeable and detail-oriented. I would happily visit him for future eye exams.

Following my exam, I met with Eman Elkadri to shop for the actual glasses. Eman spent quite a bit of time with me sussing out options (easier to do with the covid restrictions, but I get the feeling that's her style).

I find the people one meets in the retail world can be hit or miss when it comes to the customer experience. Eman stood out from the typical mundane retail experience as she was a true joy to deal with. Personable, positive, and caring. But more importantly, she was genuine! She also spoke highly of the company.

There were lots of frames that would be ok, but one in particular absolutely hit all the marks for my active lifestyle. It was perfect.except for the price point. Eman could tell I was struggling with that aspect as I was getting ready to settle on one of the lesser frames. She excused herself, and after a few minutes came back with a solution that made it doable.

The experience with Eman, and the way she stepped-up, will be the reason I'll be back again. I would highly recommend Clearly (ask for Eman, and no, they aren't on commission). To be honest, everyone on the premises who I interacted with was very good. Eman just happened to stand out and create an abundance of goodwill.

Sandy, Pooja, Dr. Glen, Amanda, were all amazing. They took wonderful care of me. I had purchased glasses, but my prescription wasn‘t working. Eventhough my original prescription was from elsewhere, Dr Glen did the reexam and took care of me. Sandy and Pooja gave me best service with helping me find good frame and great quality lenses. Clearly has great team! I will always come here because of the amazing service I got.

Love that there is now a physical store to try on different frames. This has removed all my reluctance to buy glasses through clearly. Note an appointment is required. Pooja Arora was very helpful with no greasy salesperson vibes. Prices are fantastic and they suggest online coupon codes. Would highly recommend!

Incredible service, great selection and you cannot beat the PRICE! 2 pairs of glasses with blue light protection and all of the fancy coatings for $320.00. Sandra helped me find the perfect pair giving me tips and her thoughts along the way. She was patient and really wanted me to find the right fit. Highly recommend visiting Clearly! They are a Canadian company and donate a pair of glasses to someone in need for every pair bought. Can't get better than that!

Pooja was awesome. She guided me to exactly what I needed. I didn't feel rushed, I'm glad I came into the store when buying progressives which are more complicated than standard glasses. I don't think I would have bought online without a physical store to try on different styles. I ended up picking out a frame I never thought I would have chosen.

The staff at the Chinook Centre location in Calgary were great! I was returning a pair of glasses I'd purchased online (only because I wasn't satisfied with how they looked on me) and shopping for different frames.
The return was done without any issues by one staff member while another assisted me with finding new frames. Samy was very patient, and brought me many to choose from. I told him what I did and didn't like about each of the frames, and each time he would come back with 2 or 3 more that were more to my liking. I finally settled on 2 possible options and several of the staff offered their opinion on which one looked best, which really helped with my final decision.
The store was clean and the staff were sanitizing surfaces and frames that were handled. They were also checking the temperature of customers on arrival. An appointment was required, so the number of customers in the store was limited.
