Clive Burger

Was told this was a Calgary staple. It was okay. Burger was good but I didn't like the toasted bun. Fries were over cooked and the container was half filled of Clive sauce. One bathroom was missing a seat and quite a bit of graffiti. Plus was that the staff were polite and friendly.

Tables and chairs need to be cleaned. Toilet had no seat. Food service was slow. Fries were overcooked. Clive sauce you have to pay for now! This was a happening place, not sure about this place anymore….

I order from Clive quite often and today was the last time I ever order from here. I always put a note on my order to put a normal/lesser amount of mayo on my burger and they NEVER follow instructions. Why do y'all put so much mayo on your burger? Who hurt you? You’ve lost a customer.

I come here quite often, today one of your staff was yelling about how many unopened DMs she has on Instagram from men. Only one person was actually working, I expect better from this place.

Update: she just said that the in house orders are stupid and not to tell Reese she said that.

Update 2: we've been waiting 30 minutes for our order because they're prioritizing delivery orders

After being a loyal customer for a year, we will never be coming back.

Best burger in Calgary, maybe the world. When my friends visit form out of town I bring them here with the promise of “the best burger they’ve ever had”
After a few bites, they agree.

Get Clive sauce, add cheddar, bacon and a fried egg, trust me.

We have eaten here multiple times and it’s been nothing but amazing. We make a special trip downtown to eat there. We recommend Clive to everyone we know. But this time was different. My burger was pink, and the rest of my families burgers were cold. They usually toast the buns but this time they were borderline frozen. With how expensive the world is today taking our family here is not cheap. 98$ for five people. Needless to say We won’t be back. Very disappointed.

We went in September 2019.
I had a burger and poutine and both were very good! Especially the hamburger was juicy, voluminous and exquisite!
The poutine was delicious, but I left a lot of it.
Even then, the price wasn't that cheap.

Clive used to be high quality but several times we’ve ordered the food has been awful. Missing toppings, stale bun, careless construction. Needs new staff or management.

Overly greasy and salty fries accompanied by watery gravy. Burger was just ok, onions are better sliced not finely chopped where they fall out, it’s not a taco.

Was craving a burger. I have covid so I decide to do delivery. The place is only 4 minutes away. The burger arrived stone cold inside and out.didn't have 2 of the condiments I ordered either. Makes me feel like they just put any random burger they had lying around too long into my order.really put a bummer on an already unpleasant experience I'm going through. So sad I wasted 30$ on an order.

Very slow service for a fast food joint.took more than 15mins to get our order of 1 burger.place was not even busy.they have open kitchen so i was able to see that they were not organized at all.
Comming on to the burger.it was ok for a veggi burger. Although the price was way over the top. 16$ for a veggie burger with cheese and couple of topping.
Overall hyped place with ok food.

Rich is the best, great service, food and a quick conversation as my food was being made. I’m not disappointed I drove from Temple NE during stampede at 6pm for this food. Love the Clive sauce Will be back!

Always delicious and consistent! Perfect burgers always cooked just the way I like it, crinkle cut fries are delicious and always in paper to ensure that crunch! Keep up the great work to your team! Burger science at its finest.

I'm Celiac and their gluten free burger buns are the BEST. Big, fluffy, and didn't fall apart. I recommend for anyone Celiac.

Took 45 min to get my burger. Staff told me they are understaffed and over worked. When I finally got my burger they pulled it out of the warmer saying they called my name as I sat right there.

They have the thinnest burger patties I’ve ever seen. The biggest turn-off about this place was witnessing a staff who was cooking the burgers wipe his sweat off with a towel on his shoulders with bare hands then went straight back to cooking. Literally touching the food, no gloves whatsoever. This happened multiple times while we were there. I hate to leave negative reviews like this but this is just down right wrong. When stuff like this happens in an open kitchen, imagine what goes on in the closed ones.

They can use a bit more spices in their burger to give it a better taste. Plus, definitely the poutine should have enough cheese and gravy to be considered as a poutine. So, overall I am disappointed.

Best burger I think I have ever had. You can actually hold it and eat it. Not like restaurants that make their burgers way too big to eat. Super bun. Holds together for the entire meal. Lots of fries.
