I have been buying water/re-filling water from creekside Co-op for over three years, recently the water quality in filter water refill station is horrible, tastes just like regular Calgary tap water. When I raised the issue to OLAMIDE (manager on duty) She did not seem to care, she acted like I am some sort of inconvenience to her. Very disappointed. No wonder many businesses closing in Canada.
Miss/Mrs Olamide responded quickly when there was a line up in-front of the customer service desks. In fact, she delivered excellent customer service beyond my expectations and with this positive impression, I will always shop at the store. Keep it up your good work
Very good, well organized store with all groceries needs and pharmacy. Very clean and well located with plenty of parking lots. Prices little bit higher than other groceries store like Superstore and Wal-Mart.
I love this store, however, the reason for the 3 stars is their sub buns, they are always late to bag them so they are always so dry, please fix this as it is very frustrating.
Horrible treatment of customers. If you remove an item from the checkout machine's tray before paying, it refuses to let you pay. And it also doesn't accept gift card purchases.
The employees here are very nice. There's always someone at the butcher shop who is willing to show me where the items on sale are. One time the butcher even packaged the cut of meat I wanted since there are no more on the shelves. The price on some items are more expensive than in other stores hence the 4 stars.
Pretty good selection of just about everything, this are defiantly cheaper elsewhere but over is clean and a friendly environment, nice to see the self check outs being cleaned after each use. Easy to get sports select tickets too.
Every member of this Co-op are always so nice. Always have awesome quality selection of meats and other things. Prices are a little high for someone on a budget but at times prices are great. Great place to shop though.
One of my favorite places for grocery shopping in Calgary. Lots of fresh produce and great selection of meat and fish. And most importantly this place is clean.
Nice store, clean, well stocked, outstanding meat counter. Grocery receipt still about 25% higher than superstore prices, but better experience at co-op.
Rude! Perhaps it's an "off day" but I've never encountered such rude customer service and inability to want to assist a customer. Without calling out specific individuals I felt as though ganged up on but two service reps. Again perhaps an "off day" but a experience enough that I felt compelled to write a review. Normally a great experience at this store, and I hate to review an entire store based on a single event with two individuals but this has caused some doubt as to whether I should return.
GM is super rude. We understand these have been trying times due to COVID-19 but apparently overnight they suddenly enforced a policy where you're no longer allowed to use your recyclable bags. No one at the front told us about this. Also did not see signage anywhere for this. So was having a lovely time at this store until while we were halfway finished bagging our groceries in the checkout line the GM walks right up to me and my boyfriend and just says very loudly and aggressively to me while I was bagging, "Please do not do that.they even told you at the front not to use those" to which I was completely shocked and confused and was suddenly aware I felt like I was being shamed. "No they didn't" I responded and he just passed us by and continued to loudly speak to us saying, "It's for everyone's safety" as if I was being resistant to this policy that was enacted only hours ago and I was now publicly/openly defying it by choosing to compromise their customers safety. I'm completely okay with playing by the rules and following measures but at least give your customers an opportunity to being educated about the policy first before publicly shaming them as if they're not complying. You've could have also been a bit more discrete and friendly given thats a main part of your job on the floor of a store. Also can't help but think he was so quick to shame me for using recyclable bags but came right up to my face to shame me in the checkout lane. If you were so worried about public health then why did you compromise the 2 metre distance rule that's heavily enforced during the COVID-19 pandemic? Really disgusted with the "customer service" I experienced here tonight and left feeling upset. I should have received more respect. I'm also disappointed as usually the staff here is pretty great but I recommend the GM take up some sensitivity training in the future given this is a leadership role for their staff. Personal opinion: Really as if recyclable bags are so unhygienic and have been proven to contribute to the spread of the pandemic (currently haven't seen evidence for this), but I understand (now) that it's suddenly a CO-OP Grocery policy. Absolutely no need to overreact though. We're in a pandemic-show some compassion and more kindness than usual towards people and what we're all going through. If you're using your measures and store policies as a way to shame people after you've quickly judged them as not complying, then you're doing it wrong. I just can't believe a GM thinks this kind of rude behaviour towards his customers is perfectly acceptable and I'll be shopping at the Sobeys up the street from now on.
The produce here is always fresh unlike at Stupidstore. Staff are friendly and helpful. Lineups are short if there are any. Also a great place to pick up Calgary Transit bus passes and tickets. They also have a travel centre here where I booked a European cruise ship vacation for my lovely wife and I.
Extras here include their olive bar and the amazing selection of Canadian cheeses at their "Cheese Board"
More than a little overpriced on many items, only to get some of what you overpaid back once a year (odd logic). The store is relatively clean, and staff are for the most part nice (like everywhere else). However, the area of concern is the bakery (or the place where they heat up parbaked items). The bakery lacks leadership in terms of safe food handling practices. One incident resulted in an emergency room visit for selling co-op branded chocolate chip cookies with peanuts, in packaging with no warning of what was hidden in the chocolate chip cookies. When coop was all we had in our community I was a regular visitor, but with so many options now, we barely wonder in anymore.
I went here to pick up a case of 12 cans of Coke and was in shock as it was $6.99. I spoke to a cashier who had nothing to say about it so I asked where Walmart was and she did tell me so I went there and a case of 12 cans of Coke at Walmart is $3.97. It just proves you have to know your prices. Co-op did have a dan of beans on sale for a $1/can which is a good deal. So yes I highly recommend that you know your prices before shopping. Flyers are available online for most stores. It did not cost me $3 to drive to Walmart so Walmart was a lot cheaper and thus is their regular price.
