I've never had a bad experience here personally but I mostly visit for groceries. Yes, you have to wait a bit for meds but be realistic - they're only filling 100s of other prescriptions a day. I really came here to write specifically about the lady working the deli yesterday; she cut some meat for me and then another customer interrupted. I had said thank you + that was fine to the worker because l had what I needed, then proceeded to walk away. A moment later she came from around the counter and walked up, asking if I had got everything I needed. I said yes again but was impressed by her customer service. Most workers wouldn't follow you to make sure you were satisfied. 5 stars for her!
I went to buy syringes and needles for the first time and get helped by Barbara and Cheryl, they both are professional and friendly!
Days later, i was looking for alcohol wipes, but couldn't find them I then went to ask a gentleman with glasses by lefted counter. He did not hesitate to show me where they at all. Thank you all!
Your in the service industry dealing with people that need help and guidance. Leave the arrogance and attitude at the door. Im sure it wont effect the staff but i just moved my over a thousand dollar a month acct.to walmart.nice job coop
This is the most impersonalized pharmacy. Everything is set up for their production, not for customer service. Very difficult to get through on the phone to a pharmacist. Prescriptions have had the wrong instructions. I never know if they are ready. Will change as soon as mine existing ones run out
Always had prescription in short time. Friendly and good advice. Try to get multiple months of medication if possible because there is a charge of something like 12 bucks in price for each group of orders each time. Same charge elsewhere I believe.
I tried to buy insulin needles and was denied, wanted to buy a box like i always do except i got the male pharmacist there which will only sell me a bag of 10 needles that will only last me a week. When i asked why he wouldn't sell me the box that i buy every month there like ive been doing for years he said i might go out and sell them to other people i feel like becausei have tattoos i was being profiled.wow no wonder people get hiv you're declining people to buy needles, i worked in pharmacy for 5 yrs you cant just not sell someone needles. This guy should lose his license and be reported, ill get his name next time im in. Calgary news should seriously do a story on this guy. The co-op is a great store but if this is how you treat people than you've lost my business and my families. Time to switch to superstore like everyone else has.
So disappointed with my recent visit. I called in my prescription 3 days in advance and arrived at this location to find they hadn't refilled my order. To make matters worse I was planning on purchasing probiotics from their section and the pharmacist refused to ring my item through. He told me to take it through cashier instead because he was busy. 1st off I don't see how 1 item will slow down his day and he was dealing with my prescriptions at the same time it would just make sense to put them through together. And 2nd there was no one behind me and the store was dead. I found him to be very arrogant, lazy and the service lacking.
When I pointed out where I was coming from he told me that probiotics where not part of the pharmacy section and part of the beauty and cleaning isle.what a lame excuse.
I shop @ this Co-op because I live in Kingsland and am a member. The pharmacy have been very helpful in terms of keeping in touch with me as to my diabetes care. However there were times I could not get a hold of staff as they do not have a lot, especially early in the morning and I was not able to connect by phone. They do excellent delivery of my prescriptions as I use insulin and it has to be refrigerated. Older Co-op and I do like the staff.
