Love these people and everything they do for our furry little friends! It's awesome that they keep the puppies where you can interact with them. I go by on occasion to play with the cats and puppies. #adoptdontshop!
The wash and clip was fine but the professionalism of the groomer was extremely poor. We like supporting the humane society but won’t be going back for grooming again.
We adopted our dog Toby (formerly Arrow) last year from Cochrane Humane Society. The staff were all so wonderful and the process was the best combination of thorough yet efficient. Toby has been the best addition to our lives and we are so thankful for everything CHS does.
Didn't seem interested in adopting us a new family member. Honestly it felt a litte judgemental and discriminating (I am Handicapped) I couldn't enter the premises in my wheelchair, I had to struggle greatly with my walker.
When they came out to the Stony Reserve, i tried to get information if they had a dog spay program, asked for a one time help with dog food.the volunteers were very rude to me.did not want to provide information, instead they were very mouthy! Telling me I am taking advantage and i should not have dogs.if this is the attitude they have then maybe reconsider coming to the reserve!
Adopted the sweetest little kitty boy today. Great experience with all the staff. They were very attentive even when they were super busy. They let us stay in the cat room for hours bonding with our new furever baby. 10/10 would recommend if looking for a place to grow your family.
Great organization with friendly, dedicated people. Everything they do is for the benefit of the animals involved. Many programs offered besides just adoption.
They were very helpful and understanding about choosing a cat. One of my cats passed from illness, and I needed a cat as a buddy for my second cat. They were great helping me meet and choose the right match. It has been two weeks and everything is going great.
Bless their heart at this location. Went in to check on an animal that I found in distress, but it was closed that day to the public, but someone still came out to talk to me and give me an update on the animal. Both ladies I talked with were so sweet and kind. They reassured me that the animal was in good hands. Thank you to all the staff and volunteers who make the lives of these animals matter.
I recently adopted a cat from Cochrane Humane and it was a wonderful experience. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and guided me through the processes. I was able to meet the cats and have time to play and get to know them before deciding which one was the best match. I am so happy and love my new cat and am so happy to provide her a #furever home. If you are looking to adopt this is a great place with no pressure. The team has also followed up to ensure kitty has settled in and to check on her adjustment to her new home. Great experience and i love my new cat!
I have adopted from CAHS for years, and recently started fostering for them too! The staff and volunteers are EXTREMELY friendly and lovely! They ensure all questions are answered, and will provide all the information you need for the animal you’re adopting or fostering. The communication is fantastic for volunteers/foster parents. I have gotten to know some of the wonderful regular staff here, and they always recognize me when I’m in town and visiting!
Their foster program is amazing, and fostering saves lives (both theirs and ours)! I started fostering when my late rabbit passed and I was not ready to adopt yet. The animals I’ve fostered have repeatedly saved my life in many ways - great for mental health!
Fantastic experience adopting my new furever friend here. The staff are compassionate and very helpful. They truly set their animals up for success through behaviour training, wonderful foster families, and post-adoption training options and behaviour support. Definitely consider adopting your next pet here. They have lots of dogs awaiting new forever homes, and it is only a short drive from Calgary.
The staff work tirelessly to meet a constantly increasing need. The volunteers seem to be really amazing and dedicated as well! I saw volunteers there walking the dogs when it was -25. This is a great organization to support.
