Things have defiantly changed in the Auto Industry over the last year. Dealers in the City of Calgary have been increasingly hard to deal with and to find a reasonable price on a new truck. Basically they give you a price and that is what they will sell it to you for, no negotiations because stock is still low and people are still buying.

That is why I chose to shop in the smaller centers surrounding Calgary. Eventually I ended up meeting with Jim Findlay, the New Car Sales Manager at Cochrane GM. I can't say enough good things about Jim, things were easy, fair and what he said he would do was what he provided. He made things actually fun, in fact the entire experience was completely different then what I'm used to because there was never any high pressure, just a relaxed atmosphere from all the staff I met. Everyone there was incredibly friendly, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. I never had a feeling of being pressured into the purchase.

I would suggest to anyone that if they are looking to buy any GM product that they should seriously consider going to Cochrane GM first. The buying experience there is completely different then any dealership I have bought from and I have bought a lot of GM vehicles. One thing that sticks out is the calls that I have received from Tyler Smith in Sales who helped with the sale. He called twice after I took possession of the new truck to see if I had any questions about it and if there was anything he could help me with. That was a first for me, after sales service from a car dealership, that what sets them apart from others.

Thanks to Mason Raymond, Jim Finlay, Brennon Monkman, Tyler Smith and Gus the Dog for making this a great experience. Cochrane GM will be my dealership of choice for my next purchase.

I have to say that buying my first car here in Canada was challenging because I didn’t have any credit history. But despite this Cochrane GM give me a friendly hand, helping me to find the best way that worked for me. Thank you Lyndon, Brennon and Greg for all your help.

Tried several times to deal here management says one thing parts and service do not here what management says.
Was told this morning to vring vehicle in and it would go into the shop right then as had an appointment for this past saturday at 9am but parts didnt place the order so tires never arrived till today monday at 11: 30am called service at 11: 51am said i would bring vehicle for 1pm said no problem when i drop it off it will be looked after. Dropped vehicle off at 12: 45pm and at 1: 30pm vehicle still sitting in the parking lot. Asked for the keys and left called Chuck and explained that no matter what he promised service didnt listen or care.
Lots of Gm dealerships out there i guess the new owner wants customers from far and beyond.
Promised tires for wednesday called several times and they arrive monday, sevice says they will install asap but nope more lies.
Shop and people and get an estimate in your hand prior to dealing at this dealership

I’m sharing an over the phone experience with the receptionist at GM I found her very unprofessional and condescending on the phone with me today. We own two vehicles with GM and get regular maintenance from this dealership and it’s always been a 5 star experience except for today.

Just recently purchased a 2023 Trailblazer LT. At this moment this vehicle is very hard to get in and Jim Findlay went of his way to find me one! Jim is as professional and helpful as you can get hands down! Gregory in finance was patient and made the process easy with no stress. Worst service of my life, rude unprofessional and will tell you lies. Including Mason (part ownership) this was the absolute worst experience of my life. If you’re a women they will be little you and make you feel so small and that you know absolutely nothing about cars. I will definitely not be back there and if I where you I wouldn’t deal with them either and this is there service department (bill service manager won’t even look at you when you go above and beyond him) but mason laughs in your face.

My family was in the market for a new full size truck so I contacted Cochrane GM to see what options they had available. From the start of the process to the end it was really enjoyable and stress free. Lyndon Elliott was incredibly helpful in asking the right questions to help us decide on what we wanted and had the answers to all our questions on the trucks they carry. Excellent work and great customer service. When service department was super busy they passed my file to the sales manager and he bent over backwards to make sure I was well taken care of. It was a company vehicle and he arranged a loaner because we had to wait for parts to arrive.
I will definitely go back for service and will definitely call the sales manager when I’m shopping for a new vehicle.

DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP! I went through the entire process of putting down a deposit, buying a permit for interprovincial insurance and then two days before I was going to pick it up (from Saskatchewan) they told me there was a deposit that was put down on it days before me and I actually would not be able to buy the car. I was originally told that my deposit would allow me first right of refusal if someone tried to swoop in. No one informed me there was any other deposit on the vehicle or that there could be any issue like this. Just lies the whole way through, clearly they don’t care about their customers or their reputation if this is how they do business. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Don’t trust Kam in particular, incredibly unprofessional.

The service staff were so friendly and welcoming! It was such a positive experience and you truly feel like a valued customer. I would never have imagined a tire change would make me feel compelled to write a review but I was pleasantly surprised. Would highly recommend Cochrane GM!

Love everyone at this dealership. Anytime I go in they are always so friendly and helpful and do quick work on my vehicle.

My recent visit stood out the most. I had to bring my one year old daughter with me while they did some work on my car, and each employee that walked by us, all made a point to engage with my daughter by either playing peek-a-boo, offering her a snack a book and a stuffy.

They updated me as often as they could as I’m sure they could see my
busy one year old was ready to leave.

The service manager Jim, was outstanding to deal with.

I have been to many other dealerships over the last 10 years and I have never received the level of customer service and satisfaction that I do at the Cochrane GMC.

This the second time I've felt compelled to write a review for Cochrane GM, a first for me. Had an electronics issue with my Cadillac that was causing me a lot of trouble & car was stuck in my garage as a result. Spoke to mechanic Rich, who told me how to resolve the problem in a matter of minutes, an answer I couldn't get from anywhere else, including GM help line. Saved me a tow and lot of time. All my future GM purchases and service will be at this dealership! Amazing service.

Cochrane GM was great to deal with in this tough market. No cost adjustment or mark up on vehicles like other dealer, just honest and great staff to deal with.
