My son and I fished here for two days. I can't believe how healthy this lake is. The campground is clean and well managed. Alberta Parks is doing a great job. I should mention that the boat launch is in great shape and easy to use.

Great scenery. Most of the campsites are nice and big. The sites are spread out from each other so you aren't right on top of your neighbors. Showers are a bit far away from most loops so keep that in mind when booking. The only washrooms in the loops are outhouses - some people can't handle that, but I don't think it bothers most campers.

Absolutely beautiful, well maintained sites, boat launch. When we went fishing; everyone caught fish and sadly the fish had to be released. Enjoy beautiful Alberta.

Excellent campground with great hiking trails and very private sites. Even when the wind blows the sites we're calm. Nice beach for the kids

Beautiful waterfront hiking trails, group use areas and beaches. Great place to take your dog for a swim, enjoy a camp fire or BBQ. A true hidden gem in Northern Alberta and worth a visit.

We live for camping but I honestly have to say this is the worst provincial campground we have stayed at. Everything is so far away, the showers are dirty, the road in and out is absolutely terrible, it’s so washboardy. The actual sites are pretty nice but really all the good I can say about this campground and the trails. It needs a major overhaul before we would come back again. Sewer would be nice too, the dump station is so far away and as I said the road is horrible so can’t even tow the sewer tote to dump it. Most provincial campgrounds are nice, sorry can’t say the same for this one. Update 2, Well I was pretty quick to judge, after walking the trails and settling in, it feels much better. Although I still think it needs lots of work but it does have potential for sure. Maybe for a few days would be good but not more than that with the issues of sewer dump and road conditions, but the trails are amazing for sure. So if your driving 600 km for more than a week you may want to consider another campground but for only a couple of days, fantastic. Sorry I can’t give more that 3 stars unfortunately. Update 3, last full day here and honestly going in and out on this road is so frustrating, shakes the truck, shook the trailer coming in but if you have to go in and out of the park I don’t know why they can’t put a grader through to smoothen it out? The outhouses, what can I say, it’s an outhouse but they could hose them out every now and then. So many spider webs and bugs as though hasn’t been cleaned all season, absolutely filthy. Other than the facilities and the road, a nice place but I won’t be back any time soon. They really have to fix this road, even that would be a huge improvement. Thanks and happy camping.

Stanley’s Park of Cold Lake to me: p I love walking trails out there but in Spring you will have to watch not to step in dog’s s**t. Apparently it could be bear’s too.

Beautiful, well groomed trail network for hiking. Camping is also fantastic with a trailer or tent

Small but nice beach and day area.

My daughter loved playing in the water and my son enjoyed swimming under it, he even found a golf ball.
Clean bathrooms/change rooms were good to have.

Great spot for the family. The air force doesnt fly on weekends. During the week you can have a personal air show over the lake.

Large camping lots. Clean and well maintained toilets. Similar to other provincial campgrounds. Family orientated with educational opportunities.

Nice hike around the lake - some great viewpoints. Does take you through the campground but most of the time near the water. Glad we risked lousy weather as we got some sunshine finally and it was worth it.

Do not let your GPS take you here, wrong side of cold lake, if you are looking for the campsites it's the south location

Beautiful walking trails. Nice camp sites. We love the walk in tenting sites. Wonderful opportunities to see local wildlife.

The sites are really clean, and very private. The A loop is a little tight for travel trailers, and backing in to the sites was challenge. For everyone that I have seen so far.
This is a really beautiful place, far enough away from City lights that the night sky is a pleasure to look at.
Lots of trails, and the lake is great too.
There are few beaches nearby, some have boat rentals as well.
The city/town of Cold Lake is not too far away, so if you forgot something.
Looking forward to coming again.
