Comfort Inn & Suites Downtown Edmonton

It's a really great location. Rooms are great value for money. Very friendly staff.

We were not informed that the guest laundry dryers were out of service, and there weren't any signs posted to alert us to this fact.

Because of this oversight, we spent 3 times the required amount of money to attempt to try to dry our laundry, and still had to hang it in our room overnight to ensure we didn't have to pack wet clothes upon checkout. This is the reason for 3 stars on service.

They really didn't offer any alternatives to their own faulty equipment, and didn't appear bothered to suggest any other options. I asked if their in house laundry could dry my clothes, but they told me that they'd talk to laundry in the morning at 7: 30am, owing to the fact that it was a weekend.

I never heard back. We had to check out at 11am the following day.

We did not try the breakfast vouchers owing to our schedule, and the fact that my partner is immunocompromised and can't eat a buffet. That's the only breakfast option with a voucher. I can't comment on what discount that voucher provides.

The King suite bathroom is very well appointed with a very nice, large, Jacuzzi tub. However, the shower needed maintenance, the floor was slightly cracked, and I question the logic of putting the commode in the same room as the jacuzzi. Minor complaints, considering the price of the room.

Be aware that parking is paid, at $10.50 per night. There are lots nearby that do not charge as much.

Overall, I genuinely feel that it's worth your time to stay here and upgrade your room.

Nice room, great large jetted tub, too bad the spout is the size of a faucet. Expect the tub to take 45-1 hour to fill. No joke.

Made reservations for a specific room two months back for my fiance and I to celebrate our anniversary for three nights, got to the hotel to check in and instead of the four person deep jacuzzi we initially had reserved they said someone called and changed our reservations to two queen beds instead, they somehow got us into a room that had a jacuzzi but it was a shallow tub that could barely fit us, did not get a email comformation of room change, as a choice hotel member I feel absolutely disrespected, not sure how I can stay again after that experience.

The place is just as expected. Expedia has all the correct and appropriate star rating, so don't expect a luxury resort.
Our room was quiet and clean, just as requested. The staff was extra nice and did well and beyond making sure we were satisfied with the room etc. We stayed for 2 nights, not really spending much time in the hotel.
Is the hotel a bit run down - yes. Do you see a few transient people around - yes. But you are downtown in a large city so let's not pretend these things don't exist. The price was right, the rooms were clean and the people that work there are great. Also cheap parking and walkable distance to everything you need.

Motel could use a upgrade.the room I booked on line was not the room we got.room we got was spacious but could of used a upgrade.couch cushions had rips in them and furniture was scuffed up an old.lamp shade was coming apart.not worth the price I paid for it for 2 nights.

Spacious and clean rooms, close to a lot of cool places downtown. Good breakfast and staff is very friendly! Stayed here twice to go to events and both stays were fantastic.

I’ve stayed here a few times now. The rooms are a good size & beds are comfortable. The complementary breakfast is an added bonus.

(0) star. When I first walked into the hotel I thought everything was fine until I looked around, first of all the bed sheets were dirty, they had blood and it had a HUGE hole. The curtains had spark of food, As well as the microwave, the floor, and the dresser. Everything was absolutely Dusty like if they haven't cleaned it in months, like the lamps, the the wall, EVERYTHING.going into the bathroom there was hair everywhere, I couldn't shower because of this during my stay. Outside of the hotel there was A BUNCH of homeless, all day everyday. Couldn't even feel safe walking in the hotel. During my stay I also saw a worker "cleaning" the floor. The water she was cleaning with was absolutely dirty. It was as dark as the curtains in the room. 1/10 DO NOT COME HERE

We spent one night here while they did some work on our apartment. I was extremely impressed with the staff as they were willing to go above and beyond to make sure that their customers are taken care of. The room was perfect, sure the hotel is older and could us some updates and a bit of work but honestly it was still a great place to stay.

The rooms are clean and reasonable. Found the beds to be hard for my liking. I didn't like the fact I had to pay $10 a night to park a vehicle when you were getting a room. We were put on the roadside and found the traffic to be noisy. The pool is small but works for kids and always love using the hot tub.

Good enough for a place to stay. The hottub wasn’t great so they loose a star for that. But I’ll return when I come back to Edmonton.

The lobby was fairly nice and the room was clean. The room could use some touch-up's in the paint, etc as there were cracks and dings in the walls. The in-suite hot tub was very nice; however the drains in the room had a horrible smell coming from them! We had to keep the bathroom door closed because the bed was right outside of it. The late check- out was wonderful! As a note, you do need to pay $10/ night for parking here.

Stayed one night and was very disappointed. Purposely picked this place because of pool and hot tub which ended up being extremely lousy. It was very dark in the pool area and the hot tub was not hot at all, my bath water is hotter than that. Pool was also freezing.
Our room wasn’t clean either, there was coffee spill stains on the wall & trash behind the dresser/tv stand.
The shower whistled the whole time I was in there, and didn’t drain properly.
Vending machines did not dispense or even accept payment. Very frustrating.

Next time I will spend the extra money for something better quality…

I have to say.
I had a bad experience here because of 1 bad staff member. Gary the Manager took care of my issues and this has been a go-to place for me ever since. These folks WILL go above and beyond and Gary has been training his staff very well in Customer Service.
Gary and folks here will take care of you and show mutual respect.
If they are busy, tell them you understand the possible wait, tell them they are doing a great job, and let Gary and these fine folks assist you in enjoying your stay in Downtown Edmonton.
PS: Just ask about their jaccuzzi suites! Very nice (and fun!)

The STAFF at this place while cleaning your room will also take your valuables. Like your cell phones, camera, laptops, my brother who is handicap ️ stayed here. And he had a 24 inch TV donated to him from the kidney foundation. He went to his regular dialysis appointment and he came back the TV was gone. They claimed its not them they have good honest staff YEAH RIGHT? I've heard many others complain about their belongings gone missing. Be aware of your valuables if you stay here.

The pool is so cold it feels like the pool has been sitting in -30 winter weather. Couldn’t even get my thigh in after trying to slowly get in for over an hour. Needs to be fixed. It’s so dangerous for children who will jump in without testing the waters first.

BUGS EVERYWHERE! Bed and room was so dirty I requested a new room before I would take my shoes off only to get upgraded to a room that was worse.just sleep in your car unless your fine with body fluid stained blankets and stranger hair on your pillow case.

First off if you don’t care about what your sleeping on then I’d recommend this hotel. It was clean, friendly staff and free breakfast. We enjoyed the pool and the location was central.
But If you’re like me where my number 1 thing i need is a comfortable bed, DO NOT STAY HERE.
I stayed with my 7 year old son and my best friend and we all woke up in the morning so uncomfortable and stiff. We all tossed and turned all night. The beds are rock hard, the pillows weren’t much better and i will never stay here again. We had terrible sleeps and woke up very unrelaxed and just wanted to leave.

This place has bed bugs. I stayed here 3 nights and already had bites, found one crawling on my pillow and another one dead on one of my bags. Overall awful experience, dirty and disgusting with sketchy people coming in and out, screaming in the halls and nothing being done about it. Terrible.
