Stayed at hotel and was barefoot life with doing nothing wrong great place to go for blues music stay elsewhere female manager extremely RUDE!

Great spot. Have live music alot. Also the little bar beside it is great for sports. Have a great bartender, Tevie, there and lots of VLTs as well.

We went here after dinner for my birthday to watch the band “Catalyst” play (very talented). Such a great vibe inside the venue, great service and great crowd, I love that there’s multiple different age groups who go here so I don’t feel like the old lady at the bar.lol

You.could feel the party atmosphere as soon as we walked in. Staff was friendly but professional. Restrooms were clean. Convenient and clean.smoking.area.
Band was Iconic Rock (I think)
and they were a-ma-zing!
We had a fabulous time!

You have to spend your afternoon at the Saturday Jams, a blend of professional and amateur musicians in a blues festival atmosphere.

Haven't tried the food menu but the bar is great and a half decent selection of draft. Christina is awesome and has great conversation. Certainly will be back.

Just remember to bring cash as there is no debit. But there is an ATM

What a venue, popped in for an evening of entertainment.
Friendly service, well priced drinks, like music and hotdogs.
What more could you ask for.
The sound was well balanced. Made the night really enjoyable.

A big thanks to Heather and all the staff. We had such an amazing week, great room and staff. We will definitely be booking with yous again better then any 5 star hotel. If we know anyone that is heading to Edmonton we'll send them to yous

The only downside was not being aware of cash only on the patio. Wasn't prepared for that

Had a great time on the new patio. Wish we could have ran a bill rather rather than paying for each drink. Cash only is super not convenient.

I rented a monthly room here upstairs on January 18/23. I brought some stuff to the room on the 19th and made sure to shut out the lights because i’m always respectful of someone else paying the electric bills. I came back on the 20th only to notice the light was on in my room. As i unpack my things, i notice an old Samsung S3 was missing that had approximately 975 song downloads on it. On Saturday the 20th, I encountered a chance meeting in the hallway with Heather, the resident chambermaid who proceeds to tell me she only has 20$ to her name and she doesn’t know whether to eat or get drunk with it, along with the fact that she is behind on her rent there as she lives there also. I stayed about three months there and befriended another resident who also told me that loose change had gone missing from their room and they now hide their change. On April 1/23 at 12: 45am, this Heather walks out of the bar 3 sheets to the wind and calls me “Horseface”, whatever that was all about? Also, they have a handful of ATM machines in the bar that are supposed to charge $3.75 per transaction, i was charged $4.75 on 3 occasions with the statements to prove it. I complained to someone, and in her uppity attitude reply stated, they’re not our machines. I called the company who supplies the machines and spoke to a woman named “Agnes” who said she would bet back to me and never did. Just my experience here at the Blues On Whyte/Commercial Hotel. Oh and one more thing, I actually left the Samsung S3 battery for Heather in the desk drawer when i moved out and if she reads this, she now knows why.

The music is amazing and the service was fast. I'm not big on cover charges for the disabled.especially since I only usually manage an hour or so in a place like this, or I would have gave it a 5 star

Classic Whyte Ave joint! The band was awesome, drinks were great. Always a fun time, great for people watching.

Great place to hear good live music. The patio music is different from inside but still awsome and great service with a smile. Also wasn't treated weird 4 being by myself like almost always.
