Best place in the city to get a piercing. Taylor is absolutely wonderful. She is very particular and precise so your piercings are even and as painless as possible. She's easy to talk to and very knowledgeable! As an extra bonus they don't use piercing guns here

Had my first massage today with Monyca and it was great! The salon itself is fun, very clean, and has an overall elevated feel. There had been a small mix up with my appointment time and phone number and they offered a discount on my bill including hair care products, which was not at all needed, but was largely appreciated. I have already booked more appointments and would recommend. Overall great massage, awesome customer service, and very cute salon!

I took my 11 year old non-binary child in to get a short hair cut. They have thick, wavy hair and I was so impressed with the great style they were given. They absolutely LOVE it and had the best experience with their stylist Erika. I’m so glad we chose Concrete Blonde!

I’ve been going to Concrete Blonde for several years, and in fact have an appointment tomorrow that I’m excited about. I have always wanted to take a minute to provide a review but get so busy, however want to do so now. From the moment I walk in the door to the time I make payment I’m treated like a VIP. Reception is friendly and Brooklyn, who has been my stylist for years always leaves me feeling beautiful. Everyone is professional, accommodating and knows the meaning of good customer service. I never hesitate recommending Concrete Blonde.

Super friendly. Went for an ear piercing, technician was super professional and easy to talk to. Received an email with info on aftercare and when the earring wouldn't unscrew from the posts after 6 weeks, made an appointment and the technician helped unscrew it for free. Excellent customer care!

My first time to Concrete Blonde but for sure not the last. I had foils done and a haircut and style. The best hair cut I ever had! I picked Melissa since she is called the shorthair queen in one of the pictures and she owns this title!

This was my second time at concrete! I had an appointment yesterday and truly love my hair as there’s nothing I wouldn’t change. (Full foil, haircut and style) Chelsey did an amazing job and I will definitely be sticking with her. She managed my hair really well honestly the best anyone has in a long time. (My hair is thick and naturally curly so I always feel bad for the time commitment). I 100% recommend booking in with Chelsey!

Always have great experiences here except today. The appointment was 15 min late starting and I wasn't even given the stylist I booked with. No front of house staff communicated delays and I was just getting up to leave when they found another stylist to fit me in. The stylist was amazing and I'm very happy with the service but if I showed up 15 min late I would probably have to forfeit my appointment so a little frustrated about the delay on their end.

Concrete Blonde is my new place to go! I’ve had a facial and pedicure and just got some highlights. It was an amazing experience each time! Such a great atmosphere and the staff are so friendly. Their deals each month are amazing! I’m excited to go back!

Sorry, but our pedicures weren't the best. Cuticles were trimmed way too close resulting in bleeding at the base of the nail.

Horrible service today. Honestly shocked by the service and treatment at the salon. I will say that I’ve been coming here for a while and have always been happy. Usually just call in for an appointment. I decided to bring my 70 year old mother who usually gets cheaper haircuts and uses box color…wanted to treat her to a salon quality solid color and cut for her birthday. Big mistake. I booked online for a time that worked for us, got a bunch of names and we picked based on time. Turns out, as I was arrogantly and condescendingly informed AFTER, is that a simple cut and solid color of my mother was $230 because “the stylist (Dani) I chose was the most expensive one but it doesn’t say online so I have to call in to find that out”! No transparency. It doesn’t say online who is a master stylist or not. Just figured it couldn’t THAT much because it’s so straightforward.
When I picked up my mother after an hour and 45 minutes, she literally came out with a $230 haircut and no color. Was told that we asked for a root touch up when it was a solid color (again blamed on me). Why would I request a root touch up for her when the whole head is grey! I mean common sense. My mother told the stylist dark chocolate color…. I just couldn’t believe that they honestly and ethically took $230 for that. They fixed it after I complained and got some eye rolls from the front desk staff (not the stylist - she was accommodating and friendly) who even told me that it would have cost $20 more for the solid color but they were giving me a break. My mom had to sit in the chair again and got out almost 4 hours after original booking time for only a cut and color (doesn’t even have a lot of hair) ON HER BIRTHDAY. Just all around horrible, arguing from staff at the time. Definitely not worth the money spent sitting in that chair for almost 4 hours just to get arrogance and attitude from staff. Thumbs down.

Never again… I’m a 50 year old woman and the way I was treated and spoken to today was complete garbage. I was given a lecture in the main reception area and treated with such indignity that I even made the comment of how unwelcomed I was made to feel at this establishment. I was told I could leave it I wanted. I kept my appt only because the tattoo shops are way more expensive but I would have been treated much better. The customer care here was a horrible experience and I will tell everybody how I was spoken to.

Awesome salon! Achieved what I wanted on my first visit! Was at another salon for a year and a half, never achieved the results I wanted in a year and a half! Decided to try this salon and could not be happier!

I’ve seen Erica a few times now and it’s been an amazing experience each time! She’s so pleasant and down to earth! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all my experiences with concrete blonde and will continue to come <3

I had the pleasure of receiving a shellac manicure by Amber today. From start to finish, my experience at Concrete Blonde was exceptional. Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly by Emily and Chad and offered refreshments for myself and my son. The spa lounge was inviting and comfortable. The salon was well appointed, clean and offered a luxurious atmosphere.
My service began on time and Amber made sure I left happy with the final result. Will definitely be returning.

I’ve seen Tyanna a few times to have my hair coloured and cut, and she does an amazing job! She listens to what I want and is able to achieve it without damaging my hair. I’ve recommended her to a friend who now sees her regularly as well as she is that good! She is so kind and makes you feel right at home.

I had my eyebrows waxed by Sandi - who did an amazing job at achieving the shape I wanted. I hadn’t had my eyebrows done in awhile as my previous aesthetician moved away, and Sandi was so kind and made me feel so welcome! She is also hilarious.

All around a great place with delicious coffees as well!

Quick shoutout to Dani and Concrete Blonde! I went to Concrete Blonde for the first time today to get my hair done because Dani (my hairdresser) moved there and I couldn’t be happier she made the move! Dani has always done my hair exactly how I want it, mixing the perfect color and takes her time to apply it right. She listens every time I go in and understands that I love my blonde but I also love healthy hair so we always work together to find the right balance. She’s truly amazing and I’m so happy she chose CB. CB is an entirely different experience - place is beautiful, environment is fun, and the staff care! They even have a coffee/tea bar! 100% recommend.

I love this salon. The receptionists are amazing and so sweet. Thank you for putting up with me and my changing schedule!

I chose to book with Kristen as she had years of experience and I needed to freshen up my blonde for my vacation.
Though she is friendly, she did not have the time or care to do my hair. She had another client booked the same time as me, so I had to wait while she finished her other clients hair, she covered my forehead in root color on accident and didn’t fix it. It wasn’t a big problem as I know things happen and it is temporary! I asked for long layers and a little dusting of my ends because I’m growing it out - her scissor work was the CHOPPIEST I have ever experienced.she cut off 3 inches and the ends are blunt. I’m nearly positive my son could’ve done a better job. The color was brighter, sure, but the shadow root is so messy and looks the same as when I went in.
Overall, the experience was very disappointing and I will not be going back.
I am not one to make reviews or think negatively overall but I’m so bummed about the situation.: (

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the price. I hadn't been to a hairdresser since the beginning of Covid so it was really great getting my hair cut. I will definitely go back however just might change the stylist I saw. I like when stylists give you ideas for your hair type, I don't like when they make you feel bad about your hair and talk bad about your previous stylists, which is what happened. Ultimately though I will go back.

I have been seeing Tyanna as my hairstylist for a few years now and I always leave happy. She communicates clearly and I always leave with exactly what I want. When I haven't been sure what I have wanted she has been very helpful in offering ideas within what I like. She has a very relaxed personality and I feel comfortable around her. Concrete Blonde is also a great place, the front desk is kind and the place is very clean. I started coming because of Tyanna but CB has become my go to for other services now too.

Thank you Dani for doing such an amazing job - as always. She is always so professional, friendly and so amazingly talented. Cannot wait to come back!

I made a account just to leave Katie a good review, she did my hair beyond amazingly. She’s young so she knew exactly the look I was going for and understood me not wanting a lot of hair cut off. I have brown hair and went in for highlights, she suggested a balayage instead to get the look I was going for based off my reference photos and I’m so glad I listened to her. She also took extra time to correct small mistakes made from my last hair dye. She knows her stuff, easy to talk to definitely my go to hair lady from now on. I’d strongly suggest seeing Katie!

I went in this morning for a signature facial with Justine and also booked a haircut with Tatiana. It was my lucky day due to Tatiana having a cancelation. Justine was wonderful and very knowledgeable with what my face needed. Thank you so much Justine! Tatiana you are amazing as always. Thank you for knowing exactly how I wanted my hair without me having to tell you.

I recently had my hair coloured by Concrete Blonde Master hairstylist, Vicky. In all the years of colouring my hair I have never been so happy with my stylist. This was my second time seeing Vicky and after just two visits I can honestly say, she is hands down, the best stylist I have ever been to. She takes the time to understand exactly what you want and then makes it happen. There is no way you’re leaving Vicky’s chair unhappy… she’s too good! She has many years of experience and it shows. Needless to say, Vicky will be my go to hairstylist for the foreseeable future! The whole experience is always a great one. Professional staff, excellent management and even the coffee is great! Love this place!

I would like to give Cocrete Blonde 6 stars for the excellent customer service I received. A scheduling mistake was made and Chad and the team went WAY above and beyond to make it right. I was blown away by the kindness and compassion shown to me in an effort to fix an error. They made me feel like they really cared about me, my time and my experience and gave me the impression that I was valuable to their salon. Customer service like this is something all too rare. I will definitely go back again because of how they treated me today.

I was treated so rudely today by whomever answered the phone. This was my first experience with this salon and I'll be damned if I'll ever get my hair done here. No thanks!

In response, it wasn't what the front desk said I respect policy, it was her tone and how she said it. Also she asked me why I couldn't come to the appointment which was none of her business, get off your high horse and treat all of your customers with respect.

Can’t recommend getting your hair done by Bianca enough! She’s personable, professional, kind, and wants you to leave with the perfect hair. She truly is a shining star here! I couldn’t ask for a better hairstylist!

Im so upset with my experience here.i hate the colour, i hate the length, i hate how lifeless my hair is.i use to get complements on my hair, now people just say "oh, you cut your hair. ". Only thing i really enjoyed was she didnt force awkward conversation.

The kindest and most professional staff. Such a pleasant experience every time you go there. From the owners to all the staff, they go out of their way to talk to you and make conversation. The staff is highly skilled and each one of them does an incredible job every time. I wouldn't go anywhere else! Can't forget to mention how beautiful their salon and spa is!

Beautiful Salon and Spa in the park. Chad and the ladies are fabulous. Just what I needed after this long lockdown. I'll be back soon.

Have been going to Concrete Blond for several years! Such great service employees are very welcoming and super helpful!

I had an pretty good experience here, however there are some things I would like changed. So I went in for a partial highlight, the hairdresser suggested baby lights which I do agree was a good choice. The front turned out lovely and the lady was very kind. However, after doing my hair over the past week I have noticed some things I would change. Underneath my hair there is some points that look really chunky, but that's underneath so I am not too bothered by that. The big thing I would fix is at the back of my head, She didn't take into account how my hair naturally falls, so my hair spits apart and you can see the un-highlighted hair only. I should have figured the back wasn't perfect when she didn't spin me around with a mirror to see the back. I am lucky I backcomb my hair or this would be pretty embarrassing to wear in public. I might call and see if I can get them to fix it, but with my work scheduled its very difficult to find time I could go in to get this fixed.

Have gone to this location and had my hair done by Talana twice now. SO happy with the results. I really enjoyed my first appointment with her that I decided I would continue to go to her for my hair. I live in Sherwood Park but I don’t mind taking the the drive to get the hair results I want. I am very picky with my hair and have tried a couple different salons so I’m very happy to finally find someone who listens to what I want and does a good job!

Tyanna is incredible, I am so happy every time I leave concrete blonde, her work is exceptional (she’s taken me to medium/dark brown to a gorgeous blonde after three sessions). She’s tremendously good at what she does.

The staff at the front are so lovely and courteous, and they make the experience that much more enjoyable. I appreciate the small touches: asking to take your coat, offering you a drink, the cookies given out at Christmas.

Side note: tip your stylist people!

My first time coming into this salon this past month and I have never felt better energy in a salon! I was booked with Tyanna and asked her to get me as blonde as she possibly could and she did not disappoint, I have medium brown hair and she for me super blonde. Also, I must mention there delicious lattes. Great atmosphere, will definitely be back!
