If your trying to make a decision on what company to use for your renovation or new build home, find a more reputable company. Stay away! Over the years of working with the Cook family we have had to hear customer complaints and court battles that lead to contractors being left without payments to cover their own losses. They seem friendly until they say they don't have your money and tell you to lean the property to go after their customers, Beware!

We hired Cook Custom Homes to do a complete renovation on our home after being referred by a friend to them. It was a complicated process for us as we've never experienced a home makeover project before and didn't really know what we wanted. We gave them a budget, explained what we needed and supplied them with pictures of our style as advised. Thank god for Pinterest! Their team went to work, made it very easy for us to understand the process and were responsive and patient throughout. Thank you for the great work that was also completed on time.

We are very happy with how our custom home projects and custom basement development turned out. Cook Custom Homes builds a beautiful home and has excellent trades that were experts and wonderful to work with. We had 4 areas of our home under construction as well as developing our basement with lots of moving parts at once to coordinate. Brian oversaw all the projects and provided his expertise on every detail. He is a very nice man to work with and was always available to be there and to get in and work if needed as well. His son James also works with him and they are a great team. Very personable and hard working. Brian offered his advice on where you could save money or where you should spend the money on certain things. The whole Cook family has been a pleasure to get to know and to stop and have coffee with too during the busy construction day.

We hired Cook Construction to develop our unfinished basement a few years ago. We found Brian Cook to always be a straight shooter, down to earth and would make suggestions that took our ideas to another level. All stages of the development process from room planning to picking out the finishing touches were seamless and hassle free. If we were unhappy with anything (which rarely happened), he would make it right immediately.

Since our basement was so beautifully finished, many of our neighbours have reached out to Cook Construction as they want a similar experience and quality of work completed in their homes.

If we were to build a home or undergo further renovations to our home in the future, hands down we would only consider Cook Construction for the project and would highly recommend them to everyone!

Cook Custom Homes constructed an outdoor kitchen to tie into our existing covered deck. From the beginning of the planning stage, during construction and to the final completion, everything was seamless. Brian Cook was always available with any questions or concerns we had. The trades were always professional and did a fantastic job. This addition to our home looks as though it was constructed with our home and not added 3 years later. The roof was tied into the existing covered deck without issue, the stone and stucco match perfectly and the cedar ceiling looks amazing! The landscaping and flooring was done by Cook Custom Landscapes, Lewis was easy to work with and had great suggestions on design and selection. Couldn't be happier with our new living space and would not hesitate to use them in the future.

We can not speak highly enough of Brian, James and their crew with Cook Custom Homes. Prior to starting our new home we had heard nothing but horror stories about building on an acreage property. This was not the case for us at all. Our process with them was smooth sailing from day 1. Brian was very involved with every step of the build and would give us as much time and attention as we needed to discuss ideas, pricing, etc.to make the best decision for our home. All of the trades they work with are top notch, professional and helpful. They have innovative ideas but are very reasonable and respectful of staying within your individual budget. We had very few issues throughout the process and when something did arise, Brian was quick to respond and sort it out. We would highly recommend Cook Custom Homes to anyone looking to build or renovate.

Cook Custom Homes will do everything from reno’s on your existing home, to building your luxury dream home! As someone who works in the new home industry, I can honestly say, their personal and building standards are un touchable. Brian and James are two extremely honest business owners to work with. They take great pride in their work, are available to the customer at any moments notice and involve you in the process of turning your dream home into reality. Most often, they come out of a finished product with a new family friend!

I have only dealt with cook custom landscapes and would never recommend dealing with them ever. They are severely over priced and try to cheat you. Owner sounded like a very nice guy and he made a 80 feet waterfall for me in my backyard and he posted it on his Instagram as well. I was about to continue with him on landscaping of my 2 acre newly built house. But for some reasons I ended up demolishing the waterfall and thats when the truth revealed. I had another company to demolish, who when removed Boulder stones from waterfall, found wood pallets underneath. They had used wood pallets to gain height (height of feature was more than 6feet) instead of clay and then compressing. The wood pallets could have possibly given away down the road and Leasing to failure of feature for which they charged me crazy money. I sent text messages to owner, who usually was very good at replying, never replied or clarified on this.
I ended up hiring another company to build even bigger and better water feature in front at half the cost. Would advise other customers to do there homework before signing with them as you may be paying way more.
