Cookshack BBQ

We gave them a last minute order right before Christmas for a staff lunch. They were obviously already very busy but were unbelievably accommodating and worked their tails off to make it happen for us. Lunch was amazing as always and we couldn't say enough great things about everyone there and the service that was provided to us!

Such a solid place. Leduc is lucky to have not only barbecue with such dialed quality, but warm service from great staff.

What a wonderful place. The food is fantastic (especially the Mac and cheese) but the service is somehow even better! The ladies we met were kind, friendly, and hilarious! We will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Absolutely phenomenal food. Staff are super friendly. Stopped by on a lunch break and omfg it is sooooo good. The brisket was perfect, the mac and cheese was creamy and had a hint of spice. The jambalaya rice was good (not my favourite but I'm a slightly picky eater). Will absolutely be stopping by again and again.

The food was excellent, fresh, high quality ingredients and well made. The ladies working the front are hilarious and super nice. Come hungry, leave full.

The service here is fantastic. Amazingly friendly and very happy to oblige requests.

Very clean establishment. Even with a crowd, tables were kept up, floor was swept and trays taken back to kitchen.

I come from Texas and am accustomed to a certain style of BBQ. This is not Texas BBQ. I don't think there is a Long smoke here. With that said. I did enjoy it. It has flavor, it is very tender and was enjoyable. You can tell they take alot of pride with this place.

I reccomend giving it a shot.

Such a hidden gem that always serves a phenomenal lunch. Highly recommend the brisket with mac and cheese and coleslaw.

Ordered food for my staff (~9 people) the day before. It was ready when I showed up. They even gave us serving utensils! Everything was packaged up very well and boxed up. Excellent work!

I thought it was expensive for how much we got but the food was delicious. I’d recommend to any company looking to bring some food in.

What a great surprise! My son in law had heard that this out of the way BBQ place was really good. None of us had been there before but I decided to give it a try. The eating area is open and down to earth. You have to go up to the counter to order and pick up your food. But what fun! The lady at the counter was really helpful, answering our newbie questions and giving us a spoonful of a few different things we were curious about so we could decide on the side dishes. She was a treat and her friendly and inviting attitude really added to our experience. The portions were generous and none of us left able to eat another bite. The main and the sides were delicious and the 10 or so BBQ sauces were great to try. Everyone agreed that Cookshack BBQ is a keeper on our favorite restaurant list and we'll be back.

I've been eating here regularly since this place first opened. Many others from our office as well. Great food, service and atmosphere all the time. Jacqueline and her team are the best.

Didn’t know about this gem of a place until a friend of ours from Ottawa who is visiting told us about it. Great food, great atmosphere (love the music) and great prices. Great menu selection. I personally don’t like smoked meats but the ribs and pulled pork for sure are not very smoky. Will be going back!

What an absolute gem. You walk in and immediately smell the aroma of that juicy brisket from the back! Extremely nice ladies up front and an amazing selection of sides and sauces. Super delicious! MUST STOP HERE!

Great food! The line can get long during rush hour but that's how you know you're in the right spot!

I took the family out for some BBQ and wasn’t disappointed! The service was great and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and had a plenty of options. Ribs and pulled pork were my favourite. The mac and cheese was delicious and considering what we ordered the price was super reasonable. We will definitely be back in the future I can only imagine how busy they are during a lunch rush!

Don’t usually leave reviews for restaurants but just had to for this gem! Super friendly service and an amazing but simple menu of BBQ goodness that made it hard for me to decide on what to order… Landed on the brisket, mac and cheese, coleslaw and cheddar cornbread with honey butter! It didn’t disappoint. And the sauces to accompany the brisket were soooo good (I only tried 2 lol). Will definitely be back next time I’m in the area! Thanks so much Cookshack!

I have heard about this place. Luckily, I was in the area to try them out.

Price is a bit high for lunch, but not their fault.
The meat price has been outrageous these days.

Food, I had rib, and it was fantastic.
I did not need any sauce as I just loved as it was.
Next time, I will try brisket and try their sauces as well.

All sides are made from scratch, which makes it special.

Will I come back?

Where do I start? Brisket, St. Louis Ribs, Mac and Cheese.the list goes on.

They best authentic southern BBQ in town.

On a whim I stopped in for lunch takeout. A friend had recommended this spot, saying the bbq was top notch. I concur, it was pretty tasty. The lady who served me very friendly. Great ambiance, with old time-country diner vibes.

I got the ribs, a brisket sandwich, a few sides, a number of sauces and some corn bread.

The ribs were ok. They were a bit dry, but I did arrive fairly late after lunch and I did have about a 20 minute drive back to the office. So that's on me.

The sandwich was phenomenal. I couldn't stop eating the thing, and it was huge! Absolutely friggin' loved it. Lots of beef, a ton of flavour, and with the root beer sauce, even better. 4 stars for this alone.

The mac n' cheese was not good. I love a traditional creamy southern-style mac. This was not it. Not cheesy at all, pasta was cooked decently. Tasted a bit like they used too much Johnny's Garlic Spread. Meh.

The coleslaw was fire. Absolutely amazing. The cabbage was really crisp and perfect amoumt of dressing. The cheddar corn bread was dry and forgettable.

The sauces were quite tasty. My favourite was the root beer sauce.

Next time I will stay for dine in. Overall not a bad lunch spot.

At the end of the day.brisket is what I want. This is the place where I get it.

Great staff, although this place can be packed at lunch time. Come at 12: 45 and enjoy a quiet setting as everyone jets back to work.

The Mac n cheese awesome. And their beans, I buy to just take home and throw on everything. Delicious.

All the sauces make the brisket a choice for anyone.

Been coming here off and on for a year, probably 10-14 times. Its a fantastic place for a great meal, with friendly staff and great food. Will continue to support this company. And they've catered our 50th anniversary meal. It was amazing like always. Thanks cookshack.

OMG. This place. If you work in the Nisku area definitely check out for lunch! Go early! Almost all the tables were full at 12: 15! It’s so good! The meat is so good and the Mac and Cheese is peppery and I highly recommend! I can’t wait to take friends and family!
