Cornerstone Weddings

We had a great experience with Cornerstone Weddings from start to finish! They are awesome! Huge shout out to Sarah! She was our wedding coordinator and she is absolutely fantastic! They make planning your wedding day easier. The communication was great and they were always willing to help. Our day was amazing! The food was delicious and the staff were fantastic! We got married at Cross Country Stadium at the Nordic Centre. It was everything we wanted and more!

We got married last March with Cornerstone and could not recommend them enough. We planned an outdoor winter wedding at the Ranch with Nicole and she even made sure we had the perfect cloudless day in-between a stint of -20 weather and a day of pouring rain. Having been a part of many weddings over the past couple of years, this seemed to be the most seamless experience. Nicole was incredible at answering every question accurately and in a timely matter. The planning was so simple and they accommodated all requests.

The day of was perfect. The ceremony at the Canmore Ranch was incredible and beautifully set up. Somehow, the reception was even better. We had made and brought our own decorations in conjunction with some of theirs and they set it up perfectly! Exactly how we had imagined it. Nicole (and the ENTIRE cornerstone team, seriously, you all made our day perfect) made sure that my wife and I could enjoy the wedding without having to worry about a single thing. And we didn't. Set up beautiful, food (buffet we had!) was incredible and everyone was stuffed!

Ideally we never have to do this again.but I know where to go if I ever did have to.

I cannot thank Cornerstone Weddings enough for our perfect wedding day! Our wedding ceremony was held at the Canmore Ranch followed by the reception at the Cornerstone Theatre, which were both spectacular. We were lucky to have Natasha as our coordinator and she was BRILLIANT. Incredibly patient, organized, quick to respond to any and all of our questions, and worked with us/our vendors/family/friends to execute our perfect day. The food was delicious, the music kept everyone dancing until close, and the overall ambiance was pure magic. Cornerstone exceeded our expectations - we can't thank them and Natasha enough!

Thank you to the Cornerstone for our perfect wedding day! We cannot imagine having had our wedding anywhere else. The Canmore Ranch and the Theatre are both absolutely beautiful, however it was the entire team at the Cornerstone that made the difference for us. Our coordinator Becky was so accommodating, organized, and truly invested in making sure our day was perfect. Every other staff member we came into contact with from the front desk, to Gaston the DJ, to the event manager also went above and beyond for us. Running weddings nearly every day out of the year they have everything running so seamlessly, while also putting in the time and effort to make sure your event is perfect for you. We received rave reviews from of our guests on the venue and the food!

Nicole was our coordinator and she was just perfect. The day was exactly what we wanted, dinner was incredible and the DJ kept everyone dancing for hours. Very happy we chose to come here for our wedding!

Cornerstone was the absolute best decision for our venue! Throughout the entire planning process it was seamless. Natasha was our coordinator and so easy to communicate with at any time we needed. She helped us plan our wedding from a couple provinces away.

Nothing short of AMAZING! All the staff were friendly, easy to communicate with, responsive, food was unreal, and DJ was outstanding!

I had someone there to answer my questions and help make our special day as stress free as possible.

Guests approached me all night and continue to message me to tell me how amazing the venue, ceremony spot, and food was.

I have been told numerous times by our guests that this was the best wedding that they have ever been to. Could not have done that without all of the amazing people at Cornerstone.

We booked our wedding in Canmore, everything went smoothly. Our wedding coordinator worked along our side to ensure all of our details went together, the events manager and staff were all extremely accommodating and helpful. The Food was AMAZING! I could not have a had a better wedding day and I’m so thankful we booked through cornerstone weddings

Everything at cornerstone was amazing, my only concern was the DJ. Gaston, got our first dance music wrong, actually the only thing that mattered the most on our music choices - he still got it wrong. We practiced for months to perfect the dance to only dance to the wrong song. We already felt it when we met with Gaston via zoom that he lacked communication. But we trusted him despite that, yet failed. He was saying he has 20+ years of experience yet on our email chain he was complaining about having 9 different entrance songs on our entourages. He was causing unnecessary stress to the bride and groom when we paid this person to do his job correctly and not complain.

If there was one thing I could take back was using the in-house DJ.

We could not have been happier with our Cornerstone Wedding! Communication was always great leading up to the day and our coordinator, Becky, was incredibly accommodating when last minute details arose. And the day itself turned out better than we could have imagined! Everything was decorated so beautifully with the decor we provided, the food was delicious, and the staff during the night was great! We got a lot of compliments, especially on the dj. You honestly can't go wrong choosing Cornerstone.

We had our wedding reception at the Canmore Nordic Centre in June 2023 and Joanne (both of them) and the rest of the team at Cornerstone made our day so amazing and stress free! Highly recommend them for a wedding in Canmore, especially a smaller one at the Nordic Centre. It was so perfect and the food was delicious and the staff were amazing. Loved our whole experience with them, they were so easy to communicate with during our two year planning process and made us feel stress free on our big day.

We had our wedding here in the middle of January and couldn't have asked for a more magical experience! Cornerstone went out of their way to ensure every aspect of our day was taken care of - and no detail was spared!

Our coordinator, (Nicole) worked with us over the booking period, all the way up to and including the day of the wedding and was instrumental in making sure that the day went off without a hitch. Nicole's attention to detail was exactly what we were after in setting up an incredible experience for ourselves and our guests from Calgary and far abroad.

We really can't rate the venue highly enough. Everything from the food, the locations, the way that Nicole worked with our vendors seamlessly and the intricate details of the day were all exactly what we had hoped. Thank you, Cornerstone, for a fantastic experience!

We love working at weddings at Cornerstone theatre with our Photo Booth and audio guestbook. The staff is always amazing to work with and the food is always to be desired!

We got married at Cornerstone in February 2023. We had an outdoor ceremony at the ranch and the reception at the theatre. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! They were exceptional from start to finish. Becky, Joanne and the entire staff were amazing. They were accommodating throughout the process and we did not worry about a thing! With the help of Cornerstone this was without a doubt the best day of our lives!

Can't thank the Cornerstone Theatre enough for making our daughters wedding dreams come true. You brought our vision to life with a couple pictures and some written directions. Everything was beautiful. The meal was outstanding and the staff so friendly and accommodating. Nicole you were wonderful so helpful and kept us and everything on task.

We seriously cannot say anything that will live up to how amazing Cornerstone is.

From the very beginning they made us feel so confident in booking with them. We didn’t even get a chance to see the venue in person until 2 months before our wedding but were always reassured by the coordinators that we had picked the right place! We were shown around over FaceTime and sent photos of EVERYTHING before seeing it in real life. I know that sounds crazy, but planning a destination wedding, it was just impossible to get there to see it.

Joanne was our coordinator and she was more than I could have ever asked for! I swear I sent her a never ending string of questions and she answered every single one with confidence and really helped take the stress out of the wedding planning process so we could just have FUN! The days leading up to the wedding would have been a complete disaster without her.

The day of she was so on top of everything that I could really just enjoy the day and not worry if things were going to be getting done. When I walked into the ceremony, my breath was just taken away by how beautifully they had set up the ranch. I couldn’t have asked for anything more perfect! Same for the reception at the theatre… their team really created something magical! We have heard from every one of our guests that it was one of the most stunning weddings they had ever been to! (I cannot take any credit for that… it is all Cornerstone!)

Dinner was also really amazing! We chose the middle tier of the buffet options. A lot of times the food at weddings tends to be put on the back burner, but not here. Dinner was one of the highlights!

We had our winter wedding at Cornerstone Theatre and we couldn't be happier. They made our rustic dream wedding come to life! Nicole, our coordinator was very kind and accommodating. The rest of the staff also knows what they're doing and were very helpful on the day of. The foods were great and the DJ was commendable. Our families, friends and guests were overall happy with their experience. I would highly recommend them!

We will start by saying that the actual wedding day at the Nordic Centre ended up being wonderful. The staff were excellent, flexible, and worked extremely hard to make our day special. However, the lead up to the wedding was an absolute disaster.

Our first meeting was an extreme disappointment. The coordinator in charge of guiding us through the initial options was uninterested, and did not spend any time setting up decor for us to view. The overall feeling of the meeting was that we were keeping her from something more pressing. Unfortunately the food tasting was no better. The chef refused to provide any insight into what we were eating, reporting that the coordinator could explain the different meals. Unfortunately she did not know what each meal was either, and was unable to provide us with any information. To make matters worse, the food ended up being cold. The coordinator seemed unwilling to work with any of our requests or alterations stating that Cornerstone is under strict restrictions as to what they can and cannot do at the Nordic Centre without even attempting an alternate solution. Overall, the first experience with Cornerstone was horrible, however, the GM Pamela graciously allowed us to come back for a second tasting. The second experience was much more pleasant than the first, although the new coordinator still appeared unwilling to work with us and the Nordic Centre to make things work for both parties.

The communication between ourselves and our coordinator leading up to the wedding was stressful. It was clear that she had a lot on her plate and was unable to be reached even by phone. We ended up contacting Pamela again to help answer some questions as she was the only one available. Additionally, a couple months out from our wedding we were informed that a bike race would be happening on the grounds just outside of our reception venue. Cornerstone was very apologetic, however, they made absolutely no effort to try and work with the bike race coordinators in order to mitigate sound and crowd control. When we asked whether we could section off parking for some of our guests, Cornerstone was unwilling to entertain the idea. Furthermore, they did not inform us fo the construction happening around or ceremony and reception sites and we were surprised to find out the day before the wedding.

The food at our was wonderful, and the staff were pleasant and respectful. However, we actually requested steak to be one of our entrees and ended up being served roast beef. When we asked our coordinator the next day what happened, she said that she was "a vegetarian and didn't know the difference". This is both unprofessional and disrespectful to ourselves and our guests. Cornerstone was nice enough to provide us with a small discount for the mistake.

The actual wedding day turned out to be fantastic, however, the issues and conflicts leading up to the wedding day were unnecessary and extremely stressful. Luckily Pamela came to our rescue a few times, however, Cornerstone needs to employ coordinators willing to work alongside the Nordic Centre as it appears there are a lot of restrictions that prevent them from doing certain things in that space. Additionally, there either needs to be more coordinators employed, or the ones working there need to do a better job at juggling the management of multiple weddings. We are both reasonable people and felt as if we were asking a lot just for the bare minimum. I would not recommend Cornerstone to any friends, however, we are very appreciative of Pamela for helping to make our day special and ensuring that it ran smoothly.

Absolutely amazing wedding venue, Christian was our planner and I cannot recommend him enough. Beautiful space and they work so closely with you to achieve your vision. The DJ mixed the music perfectly and our guests loved the food, people kept going back to the buffet! They are very organized, but flexible with changes and were very adaptable to last minute changes. Thanks again Christian!
