Cossins is a business with integrity. I've used them in the past (see below) and have been happy but the best experience was today when I had Jim come in to quote me on replacing an older non-Cossins window with water between the panes. I thought it needed a full replacement but Jim told me it wasn't necessary and directed me to another business that could just replace the glass for much cheaper (Cossins doesn't do that work). I had not idea (!) and would have happily paid for a complete replacement. I really respect a business willing to pass up a job and recommend a cheaper/better alternative out there for a potential customer. Well done!

I've also used them in the past for a basement window installation a few years ago. The installers were on time, professional and I'm still very happy with the windows.

Garbage patio doors.
We had Cossins patio doors measured and manufactured 3 years ago and installed by our renovator IWE. They do not seal and freeze shut in the winter making our new patio unusable for months at a time.
The Cossins repair people have come out several times to do adjustments and renovator has came back to deal with mould issues. We were told that this was the best they could do.
We are now replacing the doors with new ones (from a different manufacturer obviously) with zero compensation.

We chose Cossins from a group of six window companies we looked at as we felt comfortable with construction methods, quality and having a local company do all the work including installation. We felt they were very professional and accommodating. Responded every time to my multitude of questions. The installation was done on time and to a high standard. I would highly recommend Cossins.

Our aging home underwent a vibrant renewal with the replacement of all the windows and front door by Cossins Windows Ltd. The efficient two stage process went smoothly, competently and in a friendly manner from beginning to end, from the intial consultation with Jim to the installation of the windows and door by Kyle and his team, followed by Claude and his team. I highly recommend Cossins to others as others did to me.

We had all our windows and our front door replaced
last September. Andrew, in sales, is a great guy and a
real asset to the organization. The windows seem to be fine overall. The front door is the problem. The crew left it to the last, and seem to have rushed the
installation so as not to have to come back the next day. It appears to be out of alignment and it takes a real effort to operate the doorknob. Unless we use the deadbolt, we can’t be sure the door is closed. It was even more difficult in cold weather. The weatherstripping at the bottom of the door failed recently and needed to be replaced today. This shouldn’t have happened after only a few months, and probably has something to do with the effort needed to shut the door. A Cossins employee has been out twice and has been unable to correct the issues.
I have been discussing this with the owner (Tim).
He tells me another guy will be here tomorrow to
work on the door. I’ve already taken 2 days off work
for these attempted repairs.
When this is resolved, I will update this.

I had Cossins install two exterior doors the day before yesterday. They used some kind of product that filled my house with a chemical smell that won't go away, they broke a big chunk out of my siding beside the front door, broke the drywall and the inside corner bead beside the front door on the interior side, and the installation of the door also resulted in my brand new flooring to have popped and lifted up off the subfloor. I am questioning my decisions to go with Cossins Windows and Doors and while I'm still waiting for their response I couldn't, at this point, recommend anyone else using them. I will update this post once I've had the privilege of hearing from a representative of the company.

We had Cossins install windows 8 years ago and they still look fantastic so I am confident that this product will last a long time. The sales team is low-pressure, friendly and knowledgeable. My daughter is getting her windows done by them and I would recommend them to anyone else. We found their wood windows to be exceptionally high quality at a competitive price.

I would HIGHLY recommend Cossins windows, we own a walkout bungalow and needed all new windows and doors throughout. We shopped around but once we connected with Cossins and discussed the process, pricing etc.we made the decision to proceed with this company and we are so happy we did! The staff from Joanne (reception) Jim (Sales) and Brad and Tim (Owners) and the installers they did a great job with communication, friendly disposition and an overall job well done.
Awhile later we had a problem with one window and without hesitation they had rectified the problem by replacing it! This company stands behind their product! I will, without question use Cossins in the future!

In the aftermath of the Calgary NE hailstorm of 2020, Cossins Windows was eventually hired by my insurance contractor to replace 1 window and 1 large patio door. Tim was great during the assessment (also gave advice on an unrelated window issue). We all have had to wait for supply and labour but I was called early to take advantage of a cancelled job the next day. We were, and the crew arrived reasonably at the end of their time window. The crew (Ian, Paul, Sharla) worked well together and didn't mind me watching some of the work and asking questions. When they encountered a couple of issues they stayed positive, and stayed until their scope of work was done (partly in the dark with snow and temps starting to fall). A good job on clean up as well. The next day the re-screened patio door was delivered first thing after a prompt confirmation in the morning.

4 stars as I'm waiting for everything to settle in and ensure no adjustments or insulation issues come up, but for me, this was essentially a 5 star experience and if I do proceed with the other items I got advice on Cossins will be my first call.
