Clean and maintained. Quick and easy to get through. Staff always ensure as many vehicles as possible can fit into the gas station line up, so that traffic is not disrupted coming into Costco.
We prefer the Costco store on Yellowhead and 149th Street because it is larger than the Costco store on 50th Street in the east end. The Costco store in the east end is a smallest Costco in the entire Metro Edmonton area and as a result quite often they will not have some of the products you're looking for because it is a smaller store. So as a result, we typically like to go shopping and the West end store on 149th Street, plus the 149th Street and Yellowhead trail. Costco typically will have the lowest price for gasoline in the entire Edmonton region. So for us that is a big bonus because we use a lot of gas. Just like 3 days ago I paid $1.24.9. I think it was on the 149th Street Costco. So there is your secret Costco tip of the day!
Almost always the cheapest gas in town. It almost seems like Costco holds the other retailers accountable on the large price increases. They go up, Costco stays the same, and they come down. Plus, if you can't get it at Costco, you don't need it.
Long lines move quickly and you are generally saving $0.10 over their competitors. Very important when you're filling up trucks. The young people watching the pumps are friendly and strike up conversations while you are filling. I love Costco, especially their team!
This review is specifically for the gas bar. I don't use tap on my card, the paperwork is an utter nightmare if anyone gets their hands on a lost card. So I have to manually put my pin in. Every time I tried to enter my pin it automatically canceled the transaction. After 2 unsuccessful attempts I asked an attendant for help. I was given nothing but attitude, complete with eye rolling from not one but two attendees who's entire job entails helping people at the gas bar. My 8 year old son has better manners. I couldn't believe the attitude and when I asked for a name I was refused (they don't wear their name tags on their outerwear) and then they just proceeded to walk away. I used my credit card vs my debit and managed to make it thru on my own. I understand Costco can be a very stressful place to work but the absolute sub par attempt at just base level customer service was pretty appaling. These young men should be ashamed of themselves. Costco should be a little bit pickier in hiring protocol. I'm embarrassed for them.
