Always a long line and people cutting in from all directions. Costco needs to do what the Buffalo Run location did - create a specific gas lane that can only be entered one way.
So when they say 6: 30 am they mean 6: 30 am most of the other costcos I have been to have things running by 6: 15 and they have their business running like clock work. Sacree not so much
Small and compact. Too many people trying to get through. Also did you know Costco in Canada uses Mastercard and not visa? That was tuff finding out at the pump, don’t expect your usa combo card to work here for paying
I usually get my gas at Easthills and its usually chaos to get into line and so when I saw the size of all the people waiting and causing traffic, I was certain that I’d be there for at least 30 minutes, but as I moved closer it was moving so fast, and it was all because of these great gentlemen that are directing traffic, they did it with smiles, knowledge and where on top of everything. I was more than pleased with how great it was, especially the dark skinned older gentlemen, wish I got his name. Keep up the amazing work you guys! Now can you guys train them at Easthills to do the same:)
The prices at this gas station are unbeatable which results in long lines. Despite this, my longest wait time to the pump averages to about 15 mins. If you want to skip the long lines, your best bet is to arrive within the first and last hour of opening and closing respectively, or between 11am and 2pm on weekdays.
This costco's gas station has to have the absolute worst designed traffic setup I've ever seen. It's constantly backed up into the intersections around the costco and into the costco parking lot itself. It's a giant mess and people constantly find ways to snake their way past the "normal" lineup. Whoever designed this layout should be out of a job.
Costco offers the cheapest Top Tier gas in the area, accessible to members only. The pumps are easy to use, offer Tap to Pay, and the hoses are extendable. It operates in tandem with their warehouse therefore it is not 24/7.
Though this station has 18 pumps, 3 per lane, the recent gas surge craze has caused severe lines during almost all hours of the day. The lines often back up to the intersection (20+ cars), not to mention the people that cut their way into the queue and the other line that forms from the parking lot. Just the reality of offering lower gas prices.
Unless you are in the area, it may be cheaper to fuel up at other gas stations. Consider the gas used to get to Costco, the gas expended to get back, and the gas and time expended by waiting in line for up to 30 minutes.
Gas here is almost always cheaper than anywhere else. By at least 4 cents/litre often 5 cents or more. The only thing missing is a windshield washing station by the pumps. But I suppose that would incur an extra cost and slow traffic flow.
Easy to get too, just off highway. Quick, easy setup like many Costcos locations, at the time of visit great gas price, always best price that I see. Even with membership!
I used this gas station since its opening in ~2006 up until 2013 (dont drive gas powered cars anymore). It was great back then, prices were unbeatable, very few times were any pumps down or under maintenance, never out of gas. However the line ups are ridiculous now, they are blocking the main road going to Costco. This is more due to the lack of effort in planning on RioCan's side for large volume vehicles in the parking lot.
5/5 for the station and 1/5 for Rio Can's planning ability
Great prices for gas. Of course membership is required and as with all Costco’s, VISA is not accepted. There are 3 pumps in each lane which makes for short wait times during rush hour! Just make sure you don’t turn left into the gas station - only right turns into the station is allowed!
Good place for value prices but the entrance to the area is such a mess! There are 3 ways to get into the one entrance so it's a flaming hot mess to get to the pump. You'll wait a good 20 minutes if you don't go early in the morning or late at night
We are with Costco for almost seven years. Since then buying gas grosseries. We bought some furniture as well. Auto stuff, Jack, windshield fluid, wipers etc.
LOL. Costco gas costs the SAME as everywhere else now. Now I have no incentive to grocery shop there as often. TOTAL RIP off. What's the point in even having a gas station? There's NO lineups anymore it's always dead
Never feels like an inconvenience to gas up here. In fact I look forward to getting my receipt at the end so that I can marvel at how cheap it was. This has always been the case. Very unfortunate that they don't accept VISA, but overall great experience.
