Costco Wholesale

Good food. Portions seemed smaller than before covid. Store seemed usually busy. Even all the handicap spots where full. Didn't take to much longer to get in and out. Prices sure have jumped at Costco.

UPDATE: I like coming here on a weekday as it isn't as busy. The parking lot is still a challenge at times.

This is a smaller Costco than the others. There is no gas station, which really affects my choice to come here. However, it is probably the most inner city Costco in Calgary.

Despite its size, they carry all the usual items. I don't think there's anything I can't find here.

Another point is that despite the foot traffic, I seem to find all the hot items at this Costco, so that's a plus. I'm not sure if it is because they move stock faster or simply that Costco favors this location.

Don't second guess visiting this location if you're around! It may provide you with all the items on your grocery list.

Racist experience,
To give some context I usually take my mom’s Costco card to buy food because food in my school is kinda expensive. I usually go here by myself but over time I decided to bring some of my friends. I was shocked when the worker refused to let me enter. Saying “Thats not your moms card so please leave” Pointing at my friends as he escorted me out. I was confused what happened because usually I never had a problems with the ID when I realized the worker was staring at my friends as we slowly walked out the store. I realized the employee was probably being racist because i was with a bunch of friends. I can’t believe I couldn’t enter just because the worker thought me or my friends would do “something”. Maybe I’m thinking this wrongly but those workers have seen me before now suddenly that say i was refused service because i was with a bunch of friends. That worker is super weird and i think he had racist motives.

Please re-train the stupid employee at front about your app and everything else including her attitude. Don't know the name but it's the employee with brown hair during October 22,2023 4: 20pm.

Just asking for physical and invalidating the digital card is just plain dumb.

Avoid at all costs on the weekend. It’s a gong show. Store is generally well stocked with everything you’d expect at a Costco with reasonable prices.

This is like any other Costco store- big and busy. It is usually busy. To visit any Costco store, you meed to buy membership. There are three types of meberships- Gold, Business and Executive. You can Gold and Business membership for $60/ year and executive for $ 120/ year. If you plan to buy winter/ all season tires in Costco, they also offer installatikn service. Yiu meed to pay extra for installation. You also need to get an appointment to get your tires installed. Also, this service is offered only if you buy tires at Costco.
You can buy some fresh produce, bakery deli, clothes, shoes etc. You can also buy electronics here.
Store is busy so be prepared to lineup at check out. They have self checkout stations too, but yoy can expect a longer lineup on sepf checkput stations.
The store also has a pharmacy, where you can get your prescription drugs.

Love Costco but one of the managers named Glenda or something is very very rude. Dark haired lady who yells at the customers to get in line. There’s no need for that

Eventhough theyre always busy, the staff are always helpful and, knowlegeable. Line ups are long but move fairly quickly.gas station is a different story. Long line ups and long time waiting.

In returning you need to hire more people 2 people not enough. People and us were standing for 1 hour or more in line up outside Temp -35. Please it's hard with little kids you need to hire or put more than 2 people Thanks

This store is awesome. I bought me a costco.card. Good by rip off coop Safeway and Walmart. Am done shopping with you.

It a bit fair to others in the city / community in terms price of their products. They need to be more customer's friendly, the service render it is not free but paid for through membership.

DO NOT recommend getting winter tires installed at this location. The people who work at the tire installation is completely incompetent. They booked us in for 1 hour - 1.5 hours and we end up spending 4.5 hours there. They do not communicate with customers clearly. They quote wrong wait times and line up to speak to someone is at least 35 minutes. They have zero respect for other’s time. My husband spoke to the manager there after all is done and he had zero interest in his feedback and what can make the customer experience better. If you like to waste your time at this location - at least 4 hours waiting around, this location is for you.

Purchased a tv for a 1000 dollars. When asked for help loading the tv into my car, was completely ignored. Asked the lady at the exit door if she can find me someone, waited for 10 mins, no one showed up. Had to load a 55inch tv by myself. The older lady who was the cashier was very nice and helpful with the warranty and everything, so thanks to her. Considering I’m spending so much money at your store, the least you could’ve done is found a employee for 5 mins and help me.

The stuff at Costco are friendly willing and able to help customers find exactly what they need unfortunately it is very busy and chaotic in the parking lot at times as well as the store. Anybody pulling into parking spaces and backing out have to be very careful and vigilant to ensure that others around them are also paying attention to where they are going whether it is a pedestrian walking behind you or a driver not paying attention as they rounded corner this parking lot provides uneasy excitement after a hair-raising shopping experience. A chaotic mess to say the least, hardly an issue with the store however this issue does exist. At some stores and locations throughout the city.

Worst costco ever, First time in probably 20+ years i ever returned a product.never stood in that long line at costco, seen it, not normally interested in the wait. I am an 51 year old male, I keep what I buy or i give it away. There was someone in front of me that returned 2 different open bottles of vitamins, and a variety of other products. And they would not except my item that I was assured when purchasing that I had 90 days no matter what. On their defence, i did buy it at the east hill location. I went back to east hills and returned it with no problems.

5 star for employe Meenu especially. We went for price adjustment and she went above and beyond for that.

I don’t want to write anything but sometimes it’s needed. Today I went there to buy sunglasses. The lady her name is SEHAY was working on sunglasses counter. We asked for help. She just made the face. It was so hard to ask for show sunglasses because of her behaviour. I just wasted my money there. I will never go there again. She need a lot of training that how to deal with customers. It was a really really bad experience only because of that lady.

Horrible experience at tires centre. Ripped me off with 1870 $ Michelin tires. They said we won't give you warranty as we are unable to install on site. Not even tried. Wasted one day, whereas dealership did that job within 1.5 hours. I am a loyal Costco member for the last 10 years, this is what I got.

Nice place to buy wholesale products. I however didn't like the fact that the aisles where not labelled with product categories and staff were not readily available to answer questions.

Costco does it right for the most part. Before Jim Senegal retired it was terrific and they have slipped badly in some areas of customer focus since his retirement. Everyone always thinks they have a better idea and want to change just to show they can, but really all they have to do is stick to his plan. One of the big areas is less overall transparency on pricing and specials etc. It used to be the price was good and was always that price. Now the price is not so good and they try to see if they can get more out of you and then adjust the price down over time if it doesn't sell. Nothing is more frustrating than buying something and next week it is lower in price and then a week later lower again. Yes you can return stuff but they have reduced staff in that area and it is time consuming and frustrating like never before as well, and I think that is intentional to discourage return on price. That kind of strategic plan is not a long term one for customer happiness.

I wish I could give Negative star. Yesterday I came to book tire installation appointment. Guy gave me price that it will cost $772 and book my appointment for today at 12: 45pm. When I reach today they said tire out of stock. I said then why you guys gave me appointment. They even couldn't find closet appointment. They call manager (Unwelcome nature for customer) and she does not know how to solve customers problem and how to talk. Not happy with customer service at all. Hopefully Costco will train staff and manager, about customer service and their time value.

Costco was a good grocery store the price are good and the quality as well. You can find the stuff wht you need. Recominded yes!

Wasn't bust at all didn't wait in a line and checking out was super fast and friendly! This is our preferred Costco!

All their boxsprings are broken though. However I found the Calvin Klien bra in the color I wanted in my size

Frustrated not even single thing properly helped neither any suggestion on request. Employee must be train well. I first ever experienced in such a bad feeling within 10 years of membership. I'm serious.

Best pharmacy (prescription) prices anywhere. Hearing aid prices are half of hearing aid clinics in the city.

It's very generous of me to give you one star. The service you guys provided was so disappointing.

So we went to this costco at 32nd Ave NE on Wednesday around 6 in the evening and we bought a box of diapers and bunch of other things. The diapers were not priced correctly. There was a whole stack of boxes mentioned with the wrong price. When we scanned the product it was a different price. We went to the customer service, talked to the manager, she did not accept their mistake and was not even understanding or they didn't care much. Never had such an experience with costco before. So disappointing. It wasn't about money it was about how you treat your customers how you talk to them how important it's for you to keep your customers happy and satisfied. Have been a regular customer there but not going anymore.

I had a very bad experience in this location we bought storage shed thought that it Vl fix in our van but unfortunately it did not.we requested the staff to keep it while we are arranging a transport no one was willing to keep it they said that its a weekend we can’t then we tried to open it and wanted to fit it without the box/packing bt no one allowed us as we guaranteed them that we vl not leave this item and already paid it.the staff was extremely rude to us we were so much pressurized that we hired a uhaul truck for 95$ As we were standing on the way.the guys who helped us lifting this was very nice and cooperative.

Stacey at customer service on the 32nd location in Calgary really went above and beyond to help me. After many months of phone calls and technicians coming to my house I finally was told I would receive a refund for my broken tv but once I got to the counter and there was a discrepancy between the store and the concierge service. She was very patient and walked me through the next steps on what I needed from concierge and was just great over all to deal with. She took a very stressful situation (for me) and turned it into a pleasant one. I really hope Costco sees this and does something nice for her because she deserves it! Thank you again Stacey!

When you go pick up your car they tell you to go back after a day or 2 for retourque.they say you don't need to wait in line, just tell them you're there for retourque and they will assist you right away.nope.not true.

A bit overwhelming for me.

They never seem to have fresh (not frozen) organic chicken anymore! Especially organic chicken breasts, thighs or wings. Sometimes you can find while organic chickens, like I did today, but there was only a few and they had so much blood in the bags that I knew they would smell horrible. Very disappointing. I used to always come to Costco for fresh organic chicken.

Great return policy and helpful staff. Self checkout makes it even better experience now. Tire centre is the only department I avoid now as the tires I paid close to $700 lasted only 30,000 KM and they wouldn't honour the warranty that came with the tires for 100,000 KM. Kept making excuses.reason for 3 stars only!

Feeling safe because people are distancing plus an employee counting the number of people inside. Sanitizer and wipes are available to all customers.

Very nice and clean. The Automotive staff were super nice and got the job done quickly. Very busy though:/

Costco is always good. Even though it was busy today the line up for returns was short and the food court line was short too!

Fastest Tills in Calgary.
We have gone to almost all the other Costco’s in Calgary and while the parking lot was packed, the tills had no lineups and we got out of there quicker than any other Costco!

Poor Customer service at Tires Department. I have an appointment at 12: 15Pm, we came in on time for just a tire balance/rotation that took them 2 hours to release my vehicle. The guy also parked my SUV backwards and too far. I have to drive forward so we can load our stuff we bought at the store.

Good price if you tend to buy bulk. This Christmas season they have very prices for chocolate which is great as gifts. Parking space can be challenging especially on weekends.

Costco is Costco. Now that I've a child, I love that at the exit they take few min to draw a happy face on the bill and that makes my child very excited

I don't normally review places but this encounter was so awful I have to share it.

I showed up to this location because I'm renting an RV and the 2 6v house batteries under warranty needed replacing. The owner purchased them at a Costco in southern California and he sent me pictures of his membership card to try and see if they'd let me talk to the battery department.

The short, brunette door woman is one of the most condescending human beings I've ever had the displeasure of running across. She seemed more than happy to refuse me even the opportunity to explain my situation much less try to speak with anyone who could be helpful. I understand my situation is a unique one and the club has their rules for membership but to be so callous when my situation could be easily confirmed by the owner of the RV/membership is at best rude, and at worst the trollish behaviors of someone with a serious powertrip from obviously having done nothing better in her life than become a door person at costco.

If I could rate this experience 0, I absolutely would.

Costco is amazing as always. Went in to fill my prescription and came out with Christmas presents and other stuff. Price is really good, quality is great and quantity is much.

Parking can sometimes be difficult. Lines are good weekdays, but weekends are an altogether different story. Since East Hills opened, the traffic does seem to have reduced a bit. No liquor store or gas bar at this one though.

When people park their carts in the middle of the aisle, crash into them with yours. That'll learn em a lesson!

A good place to shop good prices they're large sizes of different types of food or larger than other stores selling the same product good prices the service is always great people that work there you can tell that they really enjoy working there which must mean Costco really looks after their employees another benefit of being a Costco member is getting gas at 4 to $0.05 cheaper then any other gas station

Wednesday after work to fill prescription. Surprisingly not busy considering it's December 12th. Holiday shopping season.

Very crowded, hard to find a parking space. Usually you will not find all of things at this location, better go to the one near crossiron or SE.

Teller was a little confused about the order in front of me but was very polite and helpful once I got there.

Costco is Costco.it's a great place for deals in bulk but honestly nothing beats their produce and meats for quality, price point and high quality. Even tonight I went in for just Chicken. Come out with a new pair of shoes, grapes, chocolate chip cookies, chicken breast.

Only downside I have noticed with Costco is their chicken thighs are not always there. They have every other type of chicken almost always but chicken thighs was nowhere to be found in the meat section, this has been the case on other numerous occasions even different Costco locations.

I will say though that Costco beats ANY distributor for price, quality and customer service. It's an honor to go in my local Costco almost everytime.
P. S. Just not on Saturday or Sundays as it's crazy crazy busy there.
