My father bought a car from their showroom. Their staff cheated us. Their sales manager elfie and eddy quoted the car as 38000 dollars including everything paperwork, tax, gst everything but after few days of the car now we are finding out that now we have got a car worth 49000 dollars as. We're new here and we've gotten into a lot of trouble. We have asked them many times to solve it but they are not doing anything for it. Our experience was very bad with them. I personally Suggest that anyone should not buy anything from here because they will cheat you and take away more money. Please stay safe from these people otherwise u will end up in very dangerous and bad situation. Specially don’t fall for thier (elfie and eddy) words (sales manager) of that showroom.

We walked in on a Saturday to just get an idea of what kind of car we might be interested in and Ishan was so helpful. He gave us many things to consider that we hadn't thought of in this unprecedented sales market. He was funny and even though he knew he wasn't getting a sale out of us this day, he still took the time to sit us down and give us great, honest advice.

Purchased a new Tucson Ultimate Hybrid about $5k over MSRP (51k plus 3M and tax, msrp is 45k+tax) and they refused to throw in floor liners for us. Offered us a couple of mugs instead. So they made about 10k on the car from cost (~40k per Unhaggle/CarCostCanada) but couldn't spare a few hundred for floor liners. And they insist that we're getting the best possible deal and that they're only making $3-4k on the car. Of course, these cars are popular and they have to make as much money as possible on each sale. They would already be making that much if they sold the car at MSRP. Highly recommend researching the car's invoice price beforehand, as the first sales worksheet presented to us was quoted at a ridiculous $64k+gst, nearly 20k over msrp.

Vehicle was also delayed about a month from when they originally said, but that's not really the dealer's fault.

Refused to take off dealer add-ons like the key fob replacement and security etching. Said that it was included with every car no matter what. Moe, our sales guy, said tire and wheel care was also included. When finalizing paperwork with Nam, the finance manager, he stated that it's not included. Luckily, we took a photo of the original worksheet that Moe went through with us, showing that we had it in writing.

Nam, who originally offered us an interest rate upwards of 8% when Hyundai offers 5.99%, eventually got us 5.99% through Scotiabank. Also said that loyalty interest rate reduction is not offered anymore if we were to buy another Hyundai from them. In that case, they should update their VIP brochure. It seems that they don't like to finance through Hyundai in general.

I would also highly recommend signing a deposit agreement before leaving a deposit, as I asked for my $2.5k deposit back after not being happy about originally agreeing to $58k out the door. Although Denny and Moe said that the deposit is non-refundable, even though I didn't sign an agreement acknowledging that, they did take the time to work with me and a competitor's ad to get it down to the 51k+ppf+gst.

Time will tell how the service experience is. Excited to get the car washed for free and detailing included with service.

Overall, obviously not a 5-star experience, but I'm happy to have the car now and understand that they were mostly just doing what they need to do to make the most profit.

I WANT TO GIVE THIS DEALERSHIP 0 STAR BUT DON'T HAVE AN OPTION TO GIVE.

MY REASONS FOR A 0 STAR ARE.

Bought a 2020 Santa Fe from here. They gave us VIP coverage, saying we can bring our car there and they can wash daily but never happened. Told them multiple times that Head up display gets blurry when you drive over 60 km but they said its normal. In just 2 and half years the tailgate got rust on it, we have to wait for months for a reply, and when we drop the suv to fix it, we don't get any loaner or rental. We were without a car for 2 weeks. That's ridiculous. At first they will advertise all kinds of VIP services when selling that car but after buying the car they don't care about you. Worse customer service I've ever experienced. DON'T BUY FROM HERE OTHERWISE YOU WILL REGRET LATER LIKE US! Thank you

DO NOT GO HERE If I could I would rate this place a negative stars. We were interested in buying a Santa fe but we're questioning the numbers with our trade in, it didn't quite add up so we decided not to do anything because we couldn't get a straight answer from them. We didn't sign anything or have a credit check pulled but have not recieve our deposit back, when I contacted the sales associate (eve). I was assured that it was put back on our credit card and should contact mastercard. Contacted mastercard and was told no transaction was returned now a investigation is opened up against country hills. To top it all off we just looked for our registration for the vehicle we owned and it's missing the last time it was out it was given to the dealership to look at our vehicle but they failed to return it. So we had to spend more money to get it replaced. This place is shady and I am thankful that I did not purchase anything from here.

Ishaan Kohli was very helpful. He went above and beyond to help us to solve the issue. My car’s engine got Seized and I was so panicked but an employee name Ishan Kohli assured me everything will be fine. First I got assigned to another adviser but luckily Ishan Kohli took over my file but really I have never seen an employee like him who provide great customer service. We went to Country Hills Hyundai so many times but never received great service but Ishaan was the one who explained everything in detail and help us through out the process. I was really impressed about his product knowledge and he was on the top of everything.
He made my painful process really easy and arranged everything from his end and provided me the details and fixed my vehicle even before given time.
He is the one who convinced me to come back to country hills Hyundai.

Switching from a German to a GV70 two months ago and was very please with the product and the customer experience received. Josh Carvalho kept us in the loop during the entire process as well as follow up after the sales. Heard so many terrible stories on car buying these days because of the supply chain issues, we felt very lucky to meet Josh and Spencer and the staff at Country Hills and will be going back to them for another vehicle.

I have not written many reviews but this dealership deserves a great review. We walked in and was immediately greeted by Kaleb. He was patient and showed us two vehicles that we were interested in. We then went to another Calgary hyundai store and did not get the same treatment. Went back after 3 hours and purchased the vehicle. Kaleb called me after three days to make sure we knew how to operate the vehicle as well. I am a happy owner of a Genesis GV80. What an awesome vehicle.

Still waiting for our money as we sold our Hyundai Santa Fe XL on October 16th. They said a cheque would follow but 10 days later, still nothing. We've emailed and called to leave voicemails. Poor customer service and poor communication. We have to spend our time to try and find out what is going on with the payment and why it's taking so long.

If I could give a zero I would. I bought a 2020 Dodge Grand Caravan from Andrew Lee and his coworker Eve Gelinas. This van came with bald tires, a cracked up windshield and missing middle seats. All of which they said would be provided before I took ownership of the van. One month after signing the agreement, I only got the seats. No replaced windshield, none of the things that were promised to me. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE

I bought a Genesis but I believe the service department shares the space with Hyundai. Ashley Pallett has been my service advisor from day one and she is amazing! I feel very lucky to have her in this role for me. She is always available for questions or concerns, is very knowledgeable and usually has a quick answer for all my questions or finds out the answers and responds right away. She continually makes the service experience very easy, hassle free and personable. I don’t feel like just another customer like most other dealerships service departments. Ashley is a shining star in a service world full of mediocrity or worse.the dealership would be wise to keep her involved in that aspect of their business in some form going forward as this outstanding level of service is exceedingly rare these days!

Just picked up my beautiful 2022 Palisade. I was really impressed by the team of ladies who work there. Their names are Eve Gelinas (salesperson), Joanna Charles (finance manager), and Karen (vehicle delivery). There were no pressure along the way from choosing the car, negotiating the price, and taking delivery. Everything went smoothly and the car actually came in a month early in spite of the current "chip shortage" situation. Thank you for your friendliness, professionalism, and enthusiasm and for making my experience there a positive one. Because of these ladies, CHH is a highly recommended Hyundai dealership.

Recent update - we have received 3 letters from Hyundai Canada about a recall for the Kona's engine. I've called Country Hills Hyundai three times, once made an appointment over the summer. When we showed up, the service dept didn't have a clue what to do and sent us home.

Today I called again, in October, Country Hills Hyundai said they haven't received instructions from Hyundai on what to do.

I called Calgary Hyundai who knew immediately what it was and said they've been completing the recall repairs for months.

How does Country Hills Hyundai stay in business they're so clueless in every way? !

We've bought 2 vehicles from this dealership. The sales and finance staff are a complete gong show.

1st they gave us the wrong vehicle. No apologies the sales man (?) Hid in the sales office. It was resolved but it took quite a bit of arguing

2nd vehicle the sleezy sales manager Andrew Lee added on additional charges. Then the incompetent finance person Chris Quinton wanted us to pay additional fees to cancel services we didn't ask for. We had to chase after him to correct the bill and send the correct version to us.

A month later still unresolved.

Once they have your money they ignore you.

Don't buy from this unprofessionally and unethical business. Save yourself grief and choose any other dealership.

Overall it was a great experience. The minute I entered the Dealership I was greeted with the help and comfort I desired to chose the car best for me. I was very uncertain on which vehicle I was searching for, as I have recently entered the world of parenthood. The realiable service, attentiveness to all my absurd questions (mainly safety features) were confidently answered by one of the salesman, I believe goes by the name Alfie. I left the dealership confident in my purchase of a 2022 Hyundai Tucon. I want to thank everyone at this dealership for their patience and a special thanks to Alfie for being there every step of the way!

I purchased a vehicle from Country Hills Hyundai early 2021 from a young man named Alfie. This was truly one of the best customer services experiences of my life. Immediately I knew Alfie had my best interest in mind. He made helped me make very informed choices and also allowed me to get the best bang for my buck on my previous vehicle. He also checks in with me frequently to make sure the car is still in tip top shape. I cannot recommend this man enough. A true gentleman, man of his word and all with a heart of gold. Make and model: Ioniq (Ultimate) 2020
Sales Department: Sales team and finance department was great. They help you through out.
Service Department: I am not impressed.
1. We have problem with the head unit of our Ioniq. I went to Country Hills Hyundai last August 10 for scheduled "check up" and I was told that they will order the parts and will get back to me a week after. Until now (September 23), I haven't heard from Country Hills Hyundai, which is quite frustrating.
2. Oil Change/maintenance service: Sales department should coordinate with their service department regarding the "freebies" that they include on every car sold.
I will update this post.
**Update:
Last week (Thursday) my wife received a text message from Hyundai that the head unit arrived. Car were scheduled.
I don't think there was a misunderstanding between us and Hyundai country Hills. What is frustrating is when they provide timeline and after 6 weeks you don't hear anything from Hyundai.
Latest update for Service Department:
Book for appointment last Sept 27 2021 for EPB (Electronic Parking Brake) issue. We dropped the car Sunday night and Country Hills release the car on Sept 27. Country Hills initially "fixed" the EPB issue; however, we learned that the USB (USB Stick with music) and voice command system is not working. We reached out to Hyundai Country Hills on this issue and was scheduled the following Monday (Oct 4). We instructed Hyundai that we would need the car in the afternoon; unfortunitely, the job was not done. My wife dropped the following day and was told that there is nothing wrong with the voice command and USB. I pointed out the issue during my conversation with the advisor, they found out the voice command is not working. The advisor (which I hold Hyundai accountable) informed me that I have to update the system myself. This doesn't make any sense. They had the car for 2 days and yet they did not update to fix the issue I raised. Should it be covered by them? 2 days after my conversation with Hyundai, customer service texted me for follow up if I am satisfied with the service I received and they would give me a $50 service credit if I gave them a 10/10 rating. How on earth should I gave them a 10/10 rating? 1st, the issue was not solve and asked me to update the car by myself and was told the advisor will contact me in a day or two; however, its been 20 days since the last time I heard from them.
Terrible customer service.
Just today, customer service and was told an advisor will call you when they are able.

Didn't buy a car this time but the service I received when I inquired about one was impeccable. All my questions were answered and the salesmen was transparent on all aspects of my potential purchase. Will definitely consider dealing with them when I'm done shopping around. 6 yrs ago I would rate them as 1 star. But this time, if there will be 5, i will rate them as 10!

My whole view/experience at country hills hyundai was rectified by these two amazing people Matt and Nam! Matt Francisco assist us in the best way we could ever think of. From the test drive down to choosing which color to go and til we roll our car out of the dealership. We never felt pressured at any point.

Shout out to Nam Duong who went the extra mile just to make sure we and our new car are very well taken care of not just this day but for the whole term. If you would like to get the best service in this dealership, you gotta see them and i can guarantee they will cater your needs not just your wants! I got all want they told me I will get with the purchase. Two (me and my wife) super satisfied customer here! Keep up the good service guys and keep helping people get what they need! Cheers to more!

I went in to see genesis gv 80 and wanted to talk to the sales person about the car but at the time everyone was fully booked and a lady at front desk told me I have to book an appointment first and gave me Mikes business card. So few days later I called but no answer so I left a voice message. Even after few days I got no call back.

The worst salesman I have ever seen!

So basically I went back with no appointment for gv 80 and I was serious in buying. I wasn’t there just for fun or anything, I was legit serious.
Talked to Genesis salesman name Mike, I test drove the vehicle and I loved it so I sat down and got all the numbers and details. The one that I wanted was the advance trim but apparently they gave it out to someone for a loaner. So I asked him if he could call or text me when he have the car. Waited for few days but he never called me so I tried to reach him but no answer so I left a voice msg and I even sent a text msg. He never replied so I went back to the dealership and told him that I tried to reach him and he looks at his phone and says “ oh yeah, I see your text. ” You got to be kidding! I am not sure if he actually wants to sell a car. Please be more serious about selling vehicles because you just lost a customer.

I was debating between x5 and gv80, and because of him I would either go for beamer or go all the way to Edmonton genesis.

I bought my current car from Country Hills Hyundai and was in a bit of a rush to get it because I was staring a new job and needed to commute again. When I bought it (at 97km on the car), I was told the windshield would be replaced because it had a crack, the tires would be replaced because they were close to being done, and the brakes would be replaced because they were very soft. The first two were done. They said the brakes were done, but here I am 35km into driving, replacing the brakes and rotors…. I blame myself because I didn’t get the sales guy to put it on the bill of sale, but is there any onus on the dealership to just do the right thing? Obviously not.

After that, I had my winter wheels put on and taken off by them. This season, when I pulled my tires out, I noticed they stripped the seal of one of my tires. Now, I had an appointment at another shop to get my tires put on rims, so they ordered a new tire for me with same day delivery so I could get my winter tires put on. The next day I go to the service area at Country Hills Hyundai and they said they couldn’t do anything about the tire, but offered two free oil changes. Now my issue with this is, why would I let them touch my car after that? I had the tires for one season and already have to replace one because of their mechanics error/negligence, so I don’t know that I’m comfortable bringing my car back. And, I have a complete paper tail showing that they damaged my tire, but they won’t take responsibility and/or reimburse me for having to get a new one. So again, why would I let them touch my car again?

I will add that I have had 3 Hyundai cars now (I also have every invoice of work done on each car) and they have all been great. The previous dealerships I had went to I had no issue, but Country Hills Hyundai has left me disappointed. I will continue to take my car to another shop where the service is much better and consistent and will rethink my options when buying my next car.

We have a great experience at Hyundai Country hills locations. Joseph Atkin helps us smoothly land our family vehicle. Everyone is nice friendly and helpful from sales, finance Nam Doung and just did our first service and they are very accommodating taking us on a very short notice. Service advisor is very pleasant and friendly Ishan Kohli.

My wife and her friend were looking for 2 new cars on Saturday September 25 and drove to your dealership on country hills. They were approached by the manager and were asked if they were buying the cars today. They told him that they were looking and wanted to do a test drive that day. The manager told them unless you are buying a car today we cannot help you, if you want to wait until a salesperson is available it can take several hours. They went away and bought cars at the Toyota dealer down the street the same day. You lost 2 customers for being rude and some friends of ours who bought their car from you but took their services somewhere else.

Worst service. Car bought not even a year ago from Hyundai, shows engine light within 6 month and serviced twice by this location and still the same issue and no solution. Financially and mentally drained on this.

There are some mixed reviews to this dealership. However, I was visiting to inquire some information about potentially purchasing a new vehicle in 5-6months. And James Park have been more than amazing to provide us with detailed information about current promotions and how it would be different from now and 5 months from now. Our Hyundai Tucson has been there for weeks being fixed because of a recall. For the past week they've been telling us they will have it tomorrow, just another day, we will rush it. We have spent hundreds of dollars on car rentals and even came on a bus from Canmore to Calgary for me and my two year old daughter because our car was suppose to be ready at 1pm. Now theres something else wrong with car after they took it for a test drive. This is the worst customer service ever.

Edit/update: they have now reimbursed us.

Very VERY bad customer service and money grabbers. Beware

We decided to purchase a car with them, signed and made a deposit. The following day, they inform us that the car in question had in fact just been sold to someone else prior to us signing and it just was not updated in their system and thus was not actually available for us to purchase.

They offer us other colours and transmissions, none of which satisfy what we were looking for.

We therefore decide to look elsewhere and ask for our deposit back. (A deposit made on a car that they had mistakenly advertised as on the market).
They state that they cannot return the deposit and that we had agreed to purchase an Elantra. (We had agreed to purchase a specific Elantra- one they sold by mistake.)

The entire time they seemed unpreoccupied with our unsatisfaction, and NEVER ONCE APOLOGIZED for having sold us a car that was already sold!

Other than this issue- that we will be creating a dispute for on our credit card- the overall customer service was very poor.

Not up front about the contract, not up front about numbers and lots of hidden add-ons, and Eddie the finance guy was completely useless, taking DAYS to answer quote/finance emails to begin with.

In general, trying to speak with someone about something other than them selling you the car is practically impossible. They will not answer messages or return calls.

Have tried to get in contact with the manager twice for a refund, left one message, and spoke directly with the receptionist who said he would call me back within 30min, and he never did.

Overall, extremely unhappy with the service, and will be fighting for our money back

This is the WORST car buying experience EVER, go at your own risk! If there was a negative star, best believe I’ll give it to them. Nobody here keeps to their word & the “organized deceit” is really sad! Got a 2021 Palisade, was told ALL their vehicles come with the winter package or whatever delusion they called to justify jacking up the vehicle price. On the day of pick-up…”oh by the way the block heater isn’t installed, we have a backlog, we’ll let you know when they’re available “next week”. After pushing the floor manager for a date for it to be fixed, dude goes to his table, scribbles a date with signature & claims it’s been scheduled. Show up on the date for supposed scheduled installation…the parts department have NO IDEA what I’m talking about! Apparently, he DID NOT SCHEDULE A THING! So many instances of blatant falsehood during the transaction, i had to take a picture of the VIN to make sure i was getting the exact car i wanted & not something else. Their sole objective here is sales & they’ll do anything under the sun to make you put pen on paper & your nightmare begins. Good luck being able to reach anyone here or have them call you back, it never happens.

Called in and got an appointment for urgent services. The services after that has been remarkably great. From the Lady who scheduled me in on the first day to Ishan who who really handled all my services greatly. I'll gladly recommend Ishan to anyone I know. Their shuttle drivers are awesome as well. When we were buying the car, we were made to feel good. However, there finance team is so awful. Once they've sold the car, you have no value to them as a customer. We have so many questions about the services that have come along with the car as well as the financial aspects of things but they have no time to respond. Till date, their finance team has not responded and we've waited for weeks. We honestly feel that we've been robed by their team and the abiguity around the price of the car is still a mystery to us. Would never recommend to go to them.

RUN!

It was supposed to be my first car purchase. Changed my mind about a purchase I made the day before (less than 18 hours) and they are refusing to refund my down-payment despite not having the car in my possession or completing all paperwork.

Make sure you clarify all documents you are asked to sign, especially the Bill of Sale, before completing a purchase. Be wary of the subtle pressure to put down a deposit. They wouldn't mention a no refund policy for down-payment!

Good learning experience, however. Now, I know what to look out for next time and will take my time to make an informed decision regardless of any sales tactics.
