Courtyard by Marriott Edmonton Downtown

Disappointed. No microwave. Charging for bottle water in the room. $40 for parking. Being a reputable brand, didn't expect this. Plus vellae parking guys Charging to park the car. Smaller brand hotels provide better amenities and services. First time choce this brand. Not in future.

Great location, good service.
Even if the rooms seem to be quite well noise insulated, two out of three nights were disturbed by noise from corridor and from another room.

River view, 11th floor. Super cool room and extremely quiet. Clean, well accessorized (no need to bring a wall charger or body wash).

Service- impeccable and honest (saved us 70 in parking! And the in room champagne was a super nice touch).

Great value for our staycation- I would recommend for anyone out of town without hesitation.

Staff was friendly and polite in the evening. Opted for Valet parking ($35) as it was oddly cheaper than public parking. Room was clean but tiny. Bathroom door is a sliding door so it doesn't lock. Beds comfy but pillows are horrible. Great place for singles or couples but not family friendly at all.

This was our 5th.time staying here, and it was always great. We had a late supper this time and the meal and service was fantastic!

The staff was expectational! I was well greeted, and they were very helpful whenever I asked anything. The room was well decorated, and comfortable. Nice outside terrace with a view of the N. Saskatchewan River

For areas of improvement, the shower door kept opening, and water kept coming out making the floor very wet. Additionally, I stayed two nights, but the sugar, coffee was not refilled. Since there is a fridge in the room they should put smaller creamers and milk, instead of powered creamer. It is downtown next to convention center, so I heard parking can be expensive.

I ate buffet breakfast at the restaurant, it was well priced ($20ish), but selection of food was limited. Bar and restaurant also available, wings with 2 beers came to $45 including tip.

In short, I would stay here again.

Great hotel in a busy area. Prices are going to reflect being downtown but it's worth the visit.

Desk staff are outstanding, location offers outdoor parking for $35 or valet assisted underground parking for the same rate (may depend on Marriot reward level).

WiFi is free, for high speed expect a $9 a day fee (high reward levels may not have to pay this cost).

Guest rooms are a decent size well renovated and clean.

Only reason for a lower score for the rooms is that the bathroom cleaning is at a surface level clean but corners and edges have some concerning dirt that did make me question hygiene.

Overall I will be visiting again. Great place and they treat you well.

Thinking this would be a great place to stay because it was walking distance to our concert. We were very mistaken. The keys constantly didn't work.and no it wasn't near our phones or a magnet. I've worked in the hotel business and know how all this works. The actual door was broken and work only open half the time. The staff was not accommodating what so ever. We had only 1 cup in the room and no coffee. They ended up charging us 2 times for the room. Parking was very slim from construction and still had to pay. Only 2 towels in a suite room.ehich slept 6 people. Its like every department has no idea whats going on. Beyond the worst hotel experience I've had. Not recommended to stay here. 380.00 a huge waste of money. It's to bad because we go to a lot of concerts.

This is the first Marriott chain I've been to that doesn't provide in-room complimentary bottled water on check-in day. The building is dated but the rooms were okay. Good location if you have business downtown. Convenient public parking right outside which is slightly cheaper than the hotel rates. Construction in front of the building so glad to have a room facing the river away from the noise.

We stayed here for an event downtown. The location is perfect for access to everything. The staff were helpful and attentive. The room was OK, a little dated but it was comfortable and well stocked with basic amenities.

Nice hotel with reasonable rates in Downtown Edmonton. Parking is very pricey, I don’t know what they’re building there but its a pain to drive around. 35 dollars a night for parking, crazy. Interior is nicely renovated, clean rooms. The toilet is very short, looks like it was made for a toddler! Other than that everything was nice, just your typical Downtown hotel. Our room also had a view of the North Saskatchewan River but other than that, nothing bad, nothing extremely good, just your average hotel. Would not recommend to stay here or at least park on site due to the fee though.

Second stay here, good location downtown, the patio is wonderful overlooking the river valley.
Comfortable room.

Room is ok, service is non existent. Had to ask for towels three times before received. Advertises price matching, however this is a hassle to redeem, so I call it as false advertising. Rooms are noisy from traffic and smells from cooking pervade all the rooms.

Streets in front are a mess from construction. Parking lot is full of massive pot holes, turned to lakes after lots of rain. Car next to me got their window smashed overnight. Did not feel safe leaving my car parked out front. Charged $35 per day for surface lot parking lol. Parkade is available but partly blocked by construction.
Water shut off in entire hotel from 10am-5pm while I stayed here.

Food menu was underwhelming for breakfast and dinner.
Patio is nice and views are great if you have rivervalley views, otherwise not great. Will not stay here again.

Do not park your car at this location (and service suck too). Checked into hotel and registered my car. Was told it will be taken care of and when in the evening went to my car noticed there was a $80 dollar parking ticket. The hotel says they will take care of it but haven’t got a written confirmation. It’s a nightmare and unnecessary stress. Never staying here again.

First time in the building and first time in Edmonton since 2018. Booked on line, little hassel getting checked in, was able to park out front for a price and the parking lasted until four so we were able to visit museum and art gallery. Restaurant breakfast buffet was better than expected and staff all around were great.

This is the first time staying at this property and we were both very happy with the accommodations.
On our first night we discovered that our air conditioning wasn't working and notified the front desk on our way out. The woman said that maintenance had left for the day and would check it herself.
When we returned a couple hours later she greeted us and told us she had a new room ready even though we did not ask for one. This was very nice of her.
The rooms are comfortable and modern with nice large, very large bathrooms.
We find all of the Marriott properties we've stayed at to be great, this is why we have Marriott rewards.

Was a peaceful and private stay staff was kind and really no one bothers you at all reccomend 100%
